The experience and vision of Rob Coulter was exceptional. He came to my house and provided a professional sketch and proposal very quickly. His proposal was "right on target". His workers were incredibly hard working and the job included lots of digging and hard labor. When they finished their work, the project site was spotless and well-manicured. My home looks better as a result of their fixing my drainage issues and their own work ethic.

Starting with Rob Coulter the experience was exceptional.We had several other estimates to waterproof our basement, but Rob was very reasonable & did only the necessary work. His team of men were great & extremely hard working!! All work was completed in specified amount of time including clean up. We highly recommend Coulter Systems.

The work was completed quickly and neatly. Have not had a heavy rain yet but we are optimistic that the sump pump installation/French drain does the job. We thought the price was reasonable. A few years ago we were quoted an outrageous price by a nationally known water proofing company. So glad we didn't go for the hard sell.

Wanted to replace main sump pump and install water powered backup sump pump together. Called them and discussed that we wanted both the work done together and they agreed and promised that they will do both the work and gave a quote for both. Hired them and one guy came with main sump pump and said water powered sump pump will be installed by another person on a different day. We had confirmed with the main owner and the person came for the work that they will do both installation and they promised again. It is just that water powered sump pump installation required some additional tools which the only the other person has and will be done another day. We trusted and let them do the work and gave the check for main sump pump installation. Once the main sump pump work was done they started acting up and said they do not have plumbing license and have to get someone else arranged to do the backup sump pump work. We kept on following up and each time they came up with some story about the backup. Finally after 6 weeks we told that we cannot keep on pushing this work and want this done soon, at which point they left a message saying that they cannot do this as they do not have license for the plumbing. Clearly they played with us saying they will do both the work when we initially told them that we want to hire someone to do both the work not just main sump pump. Not sure why companies would play with a customer like this to make few hundred dollars. Now if I have to get someone for just backup sump pump installation have to spent a fortune for it. One thing that happened good in this case is tht me and my neighbor wanted to do a external yard drainage so before that wanted to try them to see how they are to deal with. We have decided to go with someone else for this work now given that for a small work these guys played with just to get few hundred dollars from us. Thank God that we decided to do this before hiring for a big work.

They did a great job and it was completed in one day

This company was the utmost professional dealing with a LONGTIME leaking basement. Discussed the problem beforehand on phone, extremely timely, knowledgeable, quote specific, well done work and left the job cleaner than it was previously. WONDERFUL PROFESSIONALS.

The owner of the company got in touch with me less than 30 minutes after I sent my request through the Home Advisor site. Within a couple days I had an appointment scheduled and knew what the cost and scope of work would be. They kept in touch with me the day of the appointment and got the work done quickly. I am very happy with my basement waterproofing. Rob, the owner of the company is extremely knowledgeable. He has been waterproofing basements for decades and it is very obvious that he knows what he is doing. I was comfortable with him from the beginning. I knew within 5 minutes of meeting him that I trusted him and wanted to hire him. He came when he said he would and he finished my basement in 2 days (as he promised). Now, I will be able to sell my house. After paying him $8400, I expect to sell my house for $20,000 or $30,000 higher than if I hadn't had him do the basement. I am so happy with the result. I wish that I had called him sooner. I highly recommend him .

Rob at Coulter Systems is extremely knowledgeable having dealt with basement drainage issues for over 40 years. We had 4 different professionals assess our situation and only Rob instilled confidence that his approach to our situation would solve our issue. Not only that Rob was willing to guarantee his solution for 10 years. Our issue was that the previous owners of our house discharged their sump line into a 500 gallon dry well in our back yard. This dry well also caught water from our roof downspouts. When the dry well would fill with water there was nowhere for the pump to discharge causing issues. Rob was able to assess our lot and grading and was able to implement a solve that included installing a more powerful sump pump and re-routing of the discharge to a new location on our lot. We have had several rains late last summer and into this spring and the new system has performed like a champ. Any tweaks or adjustments that were needed along the way Rob and his team eventually solved. Knowing that we have a guarantee on the work is an extra piece of mind that is hard to come by in this industry.

I was quoted a price and that is what I paid. They were great at communicating time frames. I would definitely recommend their services to my family and friends.

We had a 30 year old water problem in our basement because of the water table where we live. Rob and his crew were the only ones who finally "fixed" it. We received a schematic and detailed contract showing exactly what would be done. We also had a new sump pump system installed. . There was no deposit and we did not have to pay until we were satisfied with the work. Very professional! We now have a dry basement. We highly recommend Coulter for their professionalism, problem solving and fine work.
