The contractor finished the bathrooms- not great work but acceptable, uneven paint job and repairs from wall paper removal look pretty bad. In the kitchen he was running way over the time line and rushed through it. The walls look horrible, the paint is not even, he fixed only some areas that were damaged during wall paper removal. The floor is not even and he did not even finish. He left on the 3/22/14 stating he would be returning end of the following week to finish the job. The ends of our countertops and the island countertop were never replaced. After multiple emails, many cancelled visits and a couple of him just not showing up, we have not heard from him since. Filed compliant with BBB and they have not heard anything from contractor either. Even with the subpar work I would not have complained for the price we paid, but to not finish the job is unacceptable to me. We had paid him the remainder of the amount due when he left on 3/22 because he requested it, stating he was short on money, we had trusted he would finish the job.
Description of Work: We hired this contractor to remodel our bathrooms, remove some wallpaper and paint kitchen along with installing new countertops and floors in kitchen.

Description of Work: He started off on the first day just fine. The second day, he was ok. Came late and left early, after telling us that he'd stay late and work to get the job done in 3 days. On the 3rd day, his work was very sloppy. The boards were not even, didn't fit right and had too wide of gaps.

Joe was a nice guy. BUT, Joe seems to take short cuts when the end looks near. We found a boards that had lips and didn't meet up, he cut boards too short and filled with putty?? This was all found "after" he left. There was a chipped board due to a bad cut as well as boards cut too short. He also left too many gaps, telling us our quarter round would cover over it. It would it the quarter was huge. All went well in the first 2 rooms, but being that he had plans on the evening of the last day he took too many unsightly short cuts. We were more than understanding with Joe, told him to leave and not work too late, as we know when tired, work gets sloppy. We also had been given the date he'd be here and then that changed twice.
Description of Work: We had 1100 sq. feet of stranded bamboo installed.
