The worst experience of my entire life was dealing with the mess this contractor left me with. Darren Pellman had done work for me in the past and I was mostly satisfied. I hired his company to install a large backup generator that was required by the city since this building is a high-rise. After a few months, the job started to fall behind and his guy weren't doing much work. I started calling him about it and he made a lot of different excuses. After about 6 months of nothing getting done and many excuses, I had to cancel the contract and move on due to the city needing the work done as soon as possible. I did this legally and with proper notice. I even allowed Darren to get his tools and equipment out. Darren abandoned the job and cost me tens of thousands of dollars. Not only this, but he files a lien on the building and expects to be paid. He cost me many more thousands in legal fees to defeat his ridiculous claim. Do not deal with Pellman Electric. They are only out to make a profit and if they can't, they'll walk away from the job, just as they did on mine. If you do hire them, only pay them when the job is complete and you are 110% satisfied. I wouldn't trust him or his guys to change a light bulb on my front porch, personally.
