JD's Floor Sanding & Refinishing

Work was explained in detail prior to starting the job. The job was completed on time with outstanding results. These guys know their stuff, you won't be disappointed!

JD and his brother, Gino, along with their team member, Dustin, did a beautiful job on our kitchen floor and breakfast area! They worked in an organized, neat fashion, leaving minimal dust with the sanding---due to their superior sanding/vacuuming equipment. They explained the steps in the process, fixing some unevenness in our sink area, even repairing a creak we had in our floor and replacing missing pegs. They gave us many choices of stain colors as well as variations of treatment with the final coats. They gave us clear instructions on maintenance, and they were a pleasure to be around. Well-mannered, respectful of our furnishings, reasonable in their pricing, too, we highly recommend these guys. Our kitchen floor is gorgeous!

I had a new hardwood floor installed and wished to match the color to a much older hardwood floor. It was not easy, but JD figured it out! It's beautiful. He and his brother went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with the color. They patiently displayed many sample colors for me until I could settle on one. I was concerned that the dust would trigger my husband's allergies, but not only did he minimize the dust and cover all the furniture, but his sweet mom cleaned everything perfectly afterward for a very modest charge. I wasn't always clear on when they would arrive each day, but JD was very flexible and always answered phone calls promptly. What a lovely family business! If I decide to refinish other hardwoods in my house, I will definitely choose JD.

Jason and the guys did an outstanding job refinishing/staining/poly the hard wood oak floors of an older 2 story house in Friendship. The job included a total of 6 rooms, stairs and closets. They also replaced a couple of missing oak planks and you can't tell the difference from the adjoining planks. Also quoted me the best competitive price. Great job-- couldn't be happier.

JD is fantastic--incredibly hard working, very experienced with wood floors, honest and fair. Since we were already in the house, he accommodated our schedule. He clearly knows floors, and gave us a lot of information about what would work, and what could be done with tricky spots. Repair was done really carefully by moving old wood around, and he spent a lot of time going over the stain with us to make sure we liked it (going so far as to drive to a different store to get a different brand of the same color stain for a higher quality). We added a few jobs of small carpentry as he went and he was always clear about the price and honored his agreements, even when the work turned out more difficult than we both thought. He brought a few guys to help and they all were very respectful of our property (we left them numerous times alone), locking up when they left. He even worked five hours more after I finished paying him for the job to make sure it was right! When he was done, both of us said the floor was a work of art. He's truly a craftsman.

Excellent job - beautiful floors, highly recommend. However, do not expect them coming on time and finishing the job in an expedited manner. Nonetheless - will hire again if there is a need. Thank you!

Our floors look amazing! JD is very knowledgeable and conscientious. He really cares about his work and the finished product. He worked with us so as not to disrupt the living spaces and moved our furniture very carefully. We are very pleased with the work he and his crew did for us.

JD and his team did a beautiful job in our hardwood floors. One room is parquet which is a little more challenging. I am happy to report it came out perfect. I will likely hire them in the future to do a few other rooms in my home.

JD and his crew are the best. We had them refinish a full house worth of wood floors and the end product was fantastic. They are fast, punctual, efficient, and very reasonably priced compared to their competitors. They are also very easy to deal with which makes using them very easy. I would highly recommend their services and I plan to use them for any future refinishing needs of my own.

I am very pleased with the outcome of my floors. JD was easy to work with. He took the time to explain the process of restoring the wood floors. I especially appreciated that he discussed options in detail, such as whether to stain the wood or keep the natural color and which type of polyurethane to apply. JD and his team, Mark and Shawn, took care in doing their job. They were careful in moving furniture, made sure to cover furniture to protect from dust, hung plastic to protect other rooms from dust, and just in general were very conscientious and polite. Really a great bunch of guys! I highly recommend JD Flooring.

There were several bumps along the way but JD worked to fix most of the issues. Overall, i am happy with the results, but it was very stressful. The color turned out wrong at first so two rooms had to be redone. JD redid them with out issue. Another issue was the air conditioner leaked and caused ceiling damage because he put the air condition down too low. Again JD had someone repair the water damaged plaster without issue. So like I said in the end the floors look good, it was just stressful getting there.

Great. JD and his crew were awesome and professional. He communicated throughout the process on what he was doing and when he would be there. He was very knowledgeable when it came to making recommendations.

All I can say is WOW! Jason is by far one of the easiest people I've ever worked with. He is understanding of your timeline and goes above and beyond to get the work completed by the deadline. He kept me up to date everyday during the process. His team worked late Friday night and early Sunday morning in order for us to be completed in time. I always ask a lot of questions and he never once made me feel like I was a burden to him. His crew was also extremely professional and worked so hard! I would recommend Jason to anyone in the area looking for this service. I had a wonderful experience. Thank you Jason!

Jason was the first contractor to respond to my message, and he came to give us an estimate the next day. He was able to start the job as soon as we wanted him to, and the price was less than we were expecting. He and his employee did a good job of laying out the options for us. The job was a little complicated by the fact that the elevator had to be accessible at all times, which meant that they had to break the job into two parts. They arrived to start the work when they said they would and worked from 9:00 until mid-afternoon the first day. They were careful to remove all the old finish, even where the sander didn't reach. The next day they arrived later and didn't appear to accomplish as much as they could have (hence the B for punctuality), but the third day, after we asked them to speed up, they got the job done, 3 coats of water-based poly-urethane. The floor looks very nice. We had agreed to pay Jason half the price up-front and the other half when the job was done. Then half-way through the job he asked for another quarter of the price. We said no, and he accepted that answer, but it was a little unusual. Still, I will definitely call Jason again in a year or two when we need to have the floor buffed and re-coated.

They did a great job. Excellent attention to detail and they consulted with us on each step of the process, from schedule to stain color to oil vs water based finish. There were some challenges along the way including a sunken floor board that they were able to lift back into place, and some flooring we resored that was under several layers of vinyl and luan. The end result is beautiful.

excellent, they look better than the floors my wife and i refinished ourselves in our home and we spent 50 hours on those. The finish Jd left was very smooth, and the details like the corners all looked great. This was a way better job than another refinisher that claimed 30 yrs experience. I coulnt be happier and JD will be getting all of my future business.

Jason refinished floors in two rooms and assured me that the pet stains would disappear. He did a beautiful job to my satisfaction (he was right about the pet stains), His price was very fair with consideration for this senior, Jason and his crew were always on time and once on the job wasted not a minute getting started. He finished the job within four (4) days and left the house free of dust and dirt. If you want a worker that talks on the job then you don't want Jason - but if you want a worker that WORKS on the job Jason is your man. I plan to have JD Flooring return to refinish two (2) more rooms and install a bathroom floor. PS My daughter and I moved as much furniture as we could and Jason very willingly moved the resr. The services performed were excellent! These guys are passionate about their jobs, and focused on making your floors look exactly how you would like. They went out of their way to ensure they made our time frame, and made it convenient for us to where we never had to leave the house. They even did extensive research on how to get exactly the color we preferred! They even helped contain our cat, as well as let him out of confinement when able to keep him sane throughout the day. Very communicative and happy to answer any questions. We could not be happier with the outcome! Very trustworthy and would recommend them to anyone.

Fantastic. JD and his crew were punctual, hit a dead line, professional, and did an amazing job. Given that we had out of town guests arriving on Friday, JD started Monday and finished by Thursday evening. He was empathetic to our color choices and worked with us until we found the one that was just right. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking

I searched everywhere for someone to come out and give me a quote. I would either 1. Get no answer. 2. No call back after leaving a message or 3. They just didn't show up- twice. Jason answered the phone on the first try and was at my home within 24 hours to give us a quote. They always let me know when they would be arriving and I received a daily update. They worked in a very timely matter and did a fantastic job. They left no mess. They did a living room, hallway and 3 bedrooms.

Our flooring is beautiful. We asked for water popping. This was extra. I believe it was a great decision on our part. We also had a 3 coat of finish added. I would highly recommend this.
