McCrea Heating & Air Conditioning Services of PA

As much as we hoped that the ancient AC was going to hold on for another year or 2, luck was not on our side. So after looking at a lot of reviews online, the hubs and decided on McCrea. And let me say, that has been one of the best decisions we have ever made ! Lets start with Jennifer, who answered our initial call, nothing but professional, and has the patience of a saint with my endless stupid questions. After not being able to save the ancient AC she put us through to Ken, who asked a ton of questions, that finally led us to Danny Woodby, the awesome guy, that walked us through all of our replacement options, again, more patience with the endless questions. He came on a Saturday, and by Monday he has us set up with Mario and Zach to install the new stuff on Friday. Less than a week, and right at the beginning of the summer season, we were thrilled ! The installation, well, I had visions of my house been torn apart, but boy did I get that wrong. Mario and Zach were AWESOME. They had drop clothes all over the house, I'll be honest I was tired just watching them do that (lol). They were looking a bit ragged by the end of the day, but they showed up looking pristine at the start of it. For all the work they had to do, removing the old units, and installing the new, I was impressed that they were done by 5pm, (they showed up about 8am). They cleaned up after themselves, you'd never know they had even been in our house, well except for the fact we had a working AC. This is usually where most people stop. But we got a call from Brooks Whitson, who made an appointment with us, to make sure the unit was working correctly and to do some "tweaking". As luck would have it, the thermostat crapped out 2 days before he was due out. But he fixed that too, my hero. I hear there is more tweaking to be done, but the unit is working great, so anything else I'm sure is just precaution, but we are very grateful that McCrea did't just install, take the money and run. Their customer service, is without a doubt, one of the best, if not the best, that we have come across in many years, so Thank You !

Wayne Myers was our technician. He was professional and knowledgeable, with providing his services for our heat pump inspection.

The three man team of Zach S., Zach H. and Blake E. arrived ahead of the scheduled time ready to work. All three men were outstanding in both the work performed as well as the knowledge and professionalism. From start to finish I was blown away by the entire process.

Went exactly as planned. Mario arrived exactly on time, was familiar with our systems, went straight to work, and provided us a verbal review. McCrea installed our systems and maintained out systems through service contract. Service and professionalism are worth the price we have invested in systems and their maintenance. Technicians and service response has been excellent for us.

Very well. Dwayne Myers was very professional and customer centered. He was very knowledgeable and gave my suggestions that will help my heat pump operate more efficiently. I have always received excellent service from McCrea from the time my heat pump was installed to this visit. I would recommend them for all air conditioning and heating needs.

Awesome!!! These people are the example of what all others should strive to be. Anyone can install these systems, but if you want TOTAL professionalism, you have to call McCrea, I've used them for general service prior to this and even though I could have received a slightly lower price elsewhere, I refuse to do business with anyone else.

Excellent service. John Kline from McCrea has been servicing our units for a number of years now. We always ask for him specifically... he is very professional; know his systems; easily identifies issues; and is quick to give homeowner tips for routine maintenance. We have even had him out for emergency service. We have used McCrea for 9 years for our HVAC work... highly recommend them and John Kline.

John Kline was my service technician and he was prompt, professional, friendly, and thorough. It was a pleasure to work with him.

All three persons were very professional and helpful in answering my questions. They stayed with the problem until everything could be remedied and the unit was in good running condition. I was frustrated with the problem and the cost factor of new parts and labor for these problems. However, the McCrea team was focused and wanted to make sure everything was AOK again. The team does make McCrea! Yes, I recommend them!

The technician, Vincent, was punctual, polite, friendly and very knowledgeable. He explained everything as he went about his work. Even so, he was quick. He was in and out of my house in under 30 minutes.

John Kline from McCrea came out to look at our unit. He was able to diagnose the problem in less than 60 seconds. He walked up to the unit and put his hand on the exhaust vent and felt that it was extremely hot. John found the units emergency heat solenoid was busted. The units emergency heat was cycling on and off. He was able to make repairs to the unit and get our cold air again. He also saved us a TON of money on our electric bill due to the emergency heat. He was very professional and informative during his time here. We could not be happier with John, his work, and the McCrea company. We would not hesitate to have them back for future repairs or a possible replacement.

The service was done very professionally and the installers were very polite and courteous.

Installation went well even though some of the indoor equipment had to be lowered down from the attic and new lines had to be run in a very small crawl space. Also new wiring had to be run as well. The two young men who came to install(Dakota and Zach) were very technologically savvy and explained everything well.

Just received the estimate. No work done until May.

They were able to come early which worked for me, too. The problem was diagnosed quickly and repaired on the spot. They explained what had happened (mouse damage!) and also gave me estimates on two other maintenance suggestions.

When service man came in, it works??? Maybe furnace scared of him. Ha. He just checked/cleaned everything not just good enough. It runs perfectly! Will hire them without questions! Very satisfied! Service agreement is great deal so I take for 2 years with a lot of discount.

The technician was extremely helpful, answered any questions I had thoughtfully. We will be using them again come summertime for the A/C unit.
