Also they were very neat and took great care of our property. The electrician that was needed was also excellent. Thanks for a great job!

Description of Work: I have a service contract with McCrea, so there was no charge for today's service, which was a spring check-up. I forgot to schedule this appointment with them last spring, and so they called to remind me, for which I am very grateful. I have had McCrea for over 20 years now. They have never disappointed me. They are friendly, on time, neat/clean, and they know what they are doing. They always answer my questions, never acting as if they are in a hurry. They are very respectful. The gentleman I had today was John K. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. One more thing...The receptionists who answer the phone and who do the scheduling are also very, very nice, which makes this company a pleasure to deal with.

Description of Work: I bought a advertised special on Angies List for a service/diagnostic call for my home HVAC system. After setting up the appointment the technician (Mario C.) arrived and was very professional. He inspected my system, both outside and in. He then advised me why I had some water at the bottom of my indoor system as the drain line was pinched. he reset the drain line, cleaned the drain pump and installed new pvc pipe. I was so impressed and purchased a service contract for two additional service calls/maintenance.

Description of Work: Diagnosed heater blower motor malfunction (using Angie's List "Big Deal" coupon) as caused by locked up motor shaft. |Replaced blower motor (no credit for that from purchased Angie's List "BigDeal" $49.00 coupon for "service call and diagnostic". Charged regular $503.00 price, which appears to be usual price. |Came to our property in Stephens City, VA; technician said they do service our area regularly; no travel charge added. |Called them on Friday after hours, from problem description on phone technician agreed to come on Saturday but also recommended not to insist on that since his truck would probably not have part so would still not be able to complete repair until Monday; this saved us about $180 in week-end emergency charge that would still not have gotten the repair done that week-end. He did indeed have to go to buy part from manufacturer's warehouse on Monday (warehouse out of that part until Monday deliveries came in); so even if had gotten him in during business hours Friday morning, would still not have gotten central heating back until Monday anyway. Truly appreciated that professionalism, it saved us the after-hours emergency charge when others might have charged us in same situation (and still not gotten work done on week-end anyway). | |Overall : Good work (restored heat to house during bitter cold period). Charges appear about right; I do not think there was special break on price as an Angie's List customer, but that's just FYI - not a complaint. Did not profiteer by coming on week-end with surcharge as we requested, when he knew he could not have gotten repair done then (due to no part available in town until Monday anyway).

Description of Work: Very professional, thorough, and intelligent approach to servicing the gas hot-water heating system. Was very pleased with the service and will definately use them in the future.

Description of Work: The technician basically analyzed my problem with moisture being created by condensation in the crawlspace caused by the heat pump could be alleviated by putting humidifiers. I will not be putting this suggestion into use because of selling the home.
