+ -1 moreVery well. Contractor had sub-contractors perform electrical and spackling work. FYI: add 10-15% to the estimate for unforeseen issues that may arise. I usually do, but this time I didn't even think about it. The contractor was very pleasant, offering additional ways to tackle the work, that would save me money in the long run. I do have one question for the Contractor about my deck, but have not addressed it as yet due to time constraints. I do not foresee a problem when I do call.
Description of Work: Install a small deck and add a closet to a bedroom.

+ -1 moreWe asked John for a quote for replacing the back deck. He called with the price and we asked when he could start. While the deck was being installed we mentioned that the wood panels on the garage were discovered to be loose all around. John discovered that the panels were not well attached to the studs (nailed every 24 inches) and took care of the problem. The finish is that all the work is done, I'm happy and I wouldn't call anyone else for carpentry and woodwork or referrals to other trades.
Description of Work: John replaced the deck on the back of the house. He also re-attached all the wood siding of our 2 car garage. As is usual, the work was performed above expectations with all the care as if it was his own home.

John was there when he said he would be, he gave me a price, he did the work as scheduled, and he was very pleasant to work with. The job he did was of good craftsmanship. He was considerate and clean about making a mess and cleaned up neatly after the work was done.
Description of Work: Entry door installation, Interior Door Installation, Re-built decking, Installed tongue & groove pine walls, removed & re-installed existing windows, repaired kitchen cabinet flooring under sink.
