Liberty Tree & Landscape Management

Liked Chris a lot. He was very personable and knowledgable. He was an hour late, but very apologetic, so not a problem for me. I have chosen another company for this work because the price was very high and they were booked up until the end of September.

Everything was done just as it was supposed to be. I was pleased with the service.

The salesperson understood the scope and purpose of the job immediately. He understood my budget constraints and proposed a solution that was perfect. His crew was friendly, hardworking and professional. I felt totally at ease with every aspect of working with Liberty from initial contact to completion of the job. They went above and beyond, finished the job quickly, and under budget! In my opinion, there's no reason to consider anyone else. This is the type of crew that will stand behind their work and do everything in their power to make sure that their customer is satisfied.

Overall the work was done an prompt and professional matter. My only complaints would be sometime there was lack in communication (i.e.,coming before schedule times or arriving to site on an alternate day without advising me of date and/or time as well as on occassions chooing plant material without first asking me for my choices and/or considerations before picking and/or substituting items when I have given materials I have already chosen; also I have had to address some the planting not be planted correctly(that is find on the top soil and not planted in the ground) and occasionally not trimmed and/or all depris clean up from cutting.

The service went pretty good. They got rid of the stumps and the trees as request. They guy did come out and estimate it on time when he said he was gonna be here.

The service provided for us was so-so, but it's mostly because we had an unmet expectation, especially since they're not the first tree company we've had service provided for, and their caliber of work is not as great. So to give them justice, I'll provide the cons and pros we had with them: Pros: - They were quick when we contacted them for a quote. Chris came out and gave us an estimate and a timeframe for the work we asked for. -The initial price quote was reasonable. It was practically the same as the quote we had from a previous similar tree from a different contractor. It just so happened that Liberty responded faster which was necessary for the patio work we're getting ready for. - The tree was removed quick enough, and the stump was grinded on a different date. There was no damage to the property when this was done. Cons: - They did not call to let us know when they would be coming to perform the work. I understand that the work is outdoor and does not require our presence but it would be nice to know when random people would come to our property. - The estimate was good and reasonable until we found out that the job did not specifically state that the debris from the stump grinding will be left piled up just right there. Chris had suggested to ask our Patio contractor to do the stump grinding, but that was not feasible, so we contacted Chris to let him know we'll need the stump work done as well. The workers came out again without notifying us when, and when they got "done", what was left was a ton of root chips piled up like a small hill. It was not neatly put away, nor were we notified that they will not be taken care of as a part of the contract. We were confused because we have had a large oak tree removed in the past by a different landscape company and charged us cheaper, and kept the work area clean and they also even out the area where the tree was. All in all, we're glad it was over, but would not use them again.

Expertly pruned our aging, overgrown ginko tree, including pruning back the remnants of what used to be english ivy climbing 30' of the tree trunk. Pruned the tree back off of our roof, and did a stellar job thinning out the primary branches to enable it to grow in fuller and healthier next year. Since they had time (you either contract for a full or half day with Liberty), they also did a beautiful job pruning a holly tree and climbing hydrangea in my courtyard, as well as cleaning up the english ivy that cascades over my property wall, from my neighbor's yard. Our yard looked magazine worthy when they were finished. But I'd like to share an "expert opinion" I received today in the mail. A neighbor from a block up (we've never met), left me the loveliest note today, complimenting the job, and asking me to share LTS's information with him. His letter read: Dear neighbor, You've done a very beautiful job on properly pruning the ginko! I'm a landscape architect (and also would enjoy having a contact person's info - of the exact person - since it is so hard to find artful tradesmen). Please pass my number to them. The quote for service was more than I had expected, but am so happy I did not shop for a "low cost provider" instead. I could not be happier with the result of the work we've had done. Thank you!

I would definitely use again. Someone was out to give me an estimate quickly and scheduled the work to be done within two weeks. They did a very thorough job - removing all the trimmings which were scattered between my yard & my neighbor's yard as I live in a row home.

The estimate was a little more than I had expected, though probably consistent with other companies of that caliber. I liked the fact that they were licensed arborists; the person who came out to do the estimate appeared to be very knowledgeable. I did not actually have the work done, but would definitely consider having this company do the work....especially if I decide to "trim" the Oak.

Liberty gave us three estimates for the new tree, based on size. We picked the largest. Workmen dug a hole and planted a very sturdy, healthy tree that has continued to thrive. Everything was cleared up properly when the work was done.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was okay. They gave me a $25 credit so they owed me money. I think I was tired of playing telephone tag. There was nothing against the work that was done. I couldn't tell if the price was fair or not. I paid them $375 for 45 minutes worth of work. I wasn't impressed. They threw dirt inside the holes and left. It didn't look nice but it filled the hole in. They came out and gave me a bid and then I left for Florida. When I came back, I called them and then we were back and forth and then he went on vacation and I didn't hear from them for a month or so. I called them to tell them I didn't need them to do any work for me and I want them to take me off the list. I think it wasn't their fault, it was just hit or miss.

John Rennie was fabulous in making suggestions for improvement. He quickly got back to me with an estimate. He had the work done in a day within a few days of agreeing to the plan. It was a fabulous transformation. I was so pleased. I just wish I had taken before and after pictures. I feel like I was on one of those shows where a house is redone within a short time. I was so p,eased that I added a 100 dollar tip. He is so straight forward that he sent an invoice listing the 100 dollars as credit on my account. Strongly recommend. Very professional. I actually called him one year before, but tried to get 2 other estimates. The other guys came, but never got back to me with an estimate. As a result, I did not contact John until the following year to have the work done, but he didn't hold it against me.

We did contact Liberty today making plans for them to return to do the work we requested.

Unfortunately the provider " Liberty Tree & Landscape Management" did not reach out to each other during the deal time. I called shortly after the expiry asking for an extension but unfortunately it was to late for them to provide services.

I purchased a big deal for Liberty Tree & Landscape Management. I was satisfied with their service. I didn't spend more than the big deal purchase.

John Rennie - the man who sold me the initial deal is so friendly. I can talk to him, and he understands. I like the company because of him.

I CALLED ON FRIDAY. THEY RETURNED MY CALL MUCH LATER THAT DAY. BECAUSE OF MY WORK SCHEDULE I COULD NOT RETURN THE CALL UNTIL MONDAY. I RETURNED THE CALL AND HAVE NOT HEARD BACK AT 8:30 PM. i GUESS EVERYONE IS TOO BUSY FOR BUSNESS. THIS IS MY SECOND REVIEW FOR SERVICE AND NO HELP. i AM BEGINNING TO THINK THAT ANGI E'S LIST IS NOT WORTH THE THE PRICE, IM BEGINNING TO THINK MY MONEY IS NO GOOD.

They were very good. They were reasonably priced, courteous, and I will certainly use them again.

All plants are thriving work done within budget and on time.

I have used liberty for 3 years now. John has provided me with great service. He came out, we walked the property, he dropped off estimate and the work got done a week later. Some details were not done and John was quick to come up with a plan to get them right.

They were punctual and did job in a timely, manner cleaned area totally of leaves, etc. Workers were friendly, Mike Duffy arrived with workers to make sure they knew what to do.

Great ! John Bennie was very helpful and deviled exactly what he promised.

I did like them. I did pay more than the big deal. It was in the $2,000 range. I would use this provider again.
