King Cobra Drain Cleaning

I had a clogged kitchen sink which was unusable, so I called King Cobra in the evening. They were able to accommodate me the very next morning. They showed up on time and did a great job clearing out my drain. It took longer than they initially thought it would, but the technician got the job done at the originally quoted price. He was very knowledgeable and provided good tips on keeping drains open. Overall it was a very good experience.

I called the company to describe my plumbing problem and request an estimate. Anthony indicated that he could probably come by earlier afternoon ... and did. He called 45 mins prior to let me know that he was coming and showed up when expected. After doing a couple of tests, he diagnosed the problem as a backed-up outside sewer. He clean out the line and tightened the washers on my kitchen sink. Overall, he was very responsive, professional, efficient and effective. In addition, his work comes with a 90-day guarantee. I will definitely call again when I have a plumbing issue.

We had to shut off the water to the entire house. Anthony answered the phone (no answering machine!) and came right out the next morning when he said he would come. The pipe was fixed very quickly.

It went well. The plumber was honest, helpful, and did anything he could to find an appropriate replacement as well as save me money.

We had called a few companies and no one could come out for a few days. When we called King Cobra Drain Cleaning they made the appointment to come out the next morning. While we were speaking with him on the phone he told us what he thought the problem was, sure enough he was right. He came out and took care of the problem in less than 10 minutes. He was very quick and nice. He also cleaned up after himself. The work was outdoors, but he made sure to clean up all the leaves.

Called a few days after request. Came in as promised, on time. The first person on site did not know what the problem was. He had to get the master plumber on site the following day - said he would call that evening to schedule. Did not call. Left incomprehensible message the next day. Since then no followup. Might be good folks based on other reports here but my experience was less than optimal.

I called Anthony at 9:30 on a Saturday night when we realized the main soil drain in our basement was clogged and backing up. He answered the phone very politely, not annoyed at all that it was so late. He made an appointment with me the next day (Sunday) for between 8-9 am. He called on Sunday morning at 7, to confirm and arrived very shortly after 8. He was professional and courtious and got straight to work. He worked for about an hour and had the line unclogged. I also had him look at a toilet that takes two fushes to flush. He told my husband the toilet had a part missing and what it was. He suggested we could go and get the part from Home Depot to save us some money. He also said he would be happy to come back if we needed him to once we picked up the part. Overall we were very pleased to have Anthony do the work and would call him again without hesitation.

The repair to the leaky sink drain in the basement was successful. However the work done in the master bedroom toilet was a complete failure. Within a week of the repair we noticed water dripping down from the ceiling in a clothes closet on the first floor beneath the toilet. Anthony was called to come back to corect the problem which he said was due to his improper seating of the toilet on the wastepipe. He left saying the the problem was resolved. Aweek or so late, more water found to be leaking into the same clothes closet beneath the toilet in question. He came back for a third time and concluded that a waste pipe was cracked and he would have to tear out the ceiling, etc. to fix it. I informed him that we were leaving town the next week and would not be back in PA until late October and we would have to wait until then to correct the problem. He agreed to do so. Our caretaker called us while we were en route to Bellingham, WA to say that water was coming into the closet as well as the hallway ceiling. He turned the water main off and colllected water in buckets for the next week or more. We have ruinened ceilings, clothing, books, rug/floor etc.He was very messy and didn't clean up after himself at all. He said he fixed it both times that he came out but both it continued leaking. He caused a major leak in my house by not repairing this correctly. Over time the leak is getting much worse He has discovered that he cracked the waste pipe. Now I am going to need to hire a contractor to do major repairs in my home.

I did not see any marking on the truck. I asked him for current license and insurance information and he would not give me an answer.

Anthony was wonderful. He was courteous. I called him on a Sunday morning, and he came in an emergency situation. He came when he said he was going to come and did work for the price he quoted me. The price was good. He got the work done and cleaned himself up, and the work has remained satisfactory. The drain is still open. I have not had any problems since. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

The best part of the service call was how he educated me on the way the pump in the basement worked. I really appreciated his honesty and thoroughness. Excellent service! Our tub/shower drain was completly stopped. Anthony took my call immediately and was very flexible with available times to meet me. He saw that our pipe lead directly into the drum tank in the floor. He explained that he would need to pull up some of the floor which we expected and were ok with since we have replacement tiles. He quoted us $200 (the approximate cost of similar work for other contractors on Angie's list was $600-$1,000). He got to work immediately and found something that I don't even know how to describe in the drum tank. It looked like a rag or something, but not sure how the heck it got in there. He completely cleaned all of the pipes and the drum tank and cleaned up everything. I'm so happy we called King Cobra!

I spent $400 on that work. He is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to plumbing and he does a very good job of explaining what he is going to do before he does it and lets me know what the price is going to be up front. He is very professional and cleans up. He comes in and does the job as soon as possible. He also does a great job of explaining what could go wrong as far what to do if something breaks, nothing bad ever happens. He is just good overall.

Anthony reponded to my call on the second ring. He said he could be out the next day. We set the time for the appointment. He called a hour before our scheduled appointment and informed me he was running about an hour behind schedule. He asked if it was ok for him to still come out even though it was going to be an hour after our scheduled time. Very considerate...! I said sure as I wanted the problem fixed before the icy weather arrived causing water to drain directly on my front sidewalk and freezing causing a hazardous walking situation. Anthony came out took a look at the problem, asked to see the basement and set to work. He informed me that he found the problem but the existing cap on the cast iron pipe might need to be replaced after removing it from the pipe.He found the problem...two tennis balls which had come off the roof and gone down the gutter and into the pipe. They clogged the sewer pipe and then leaves filled in the rest of the pipe causing a huge blockage. My son is the culprit for the tennis balls and he is very sorry for the problem he created unknowingly. Anthony cleared away the rest of the blockage and went to get the new cap for the sewer pipe. He was there maybe two to two and half hours. He gave me a $10 discount for the Angie's List referral and we are all happy that now our drain runs down to the sewer without incident. I called Anthony at 6:15pm on Thanksgiving Eve and he took the call and said that he could be at our house around 8pm. He got there right on time and had the main line from the kitchen sink cleared quickly. Price was reasonable given the emergency timing. Anthony was professional and courteous. The only problem was after he left i realized the hookup to the disposal was leaking at the joints after he put them back together so I had to tighten that up and then I found a hole in the pipe which may have been caused by me tightening the joints so I don't think any of that was really a result of anthony's work. Overall, I would highly recommend him.

Anthony arrived on time and was very pleasant. Using a large rotor and snake he was able to clear a clogged sewer drain outside that had backed up and was causing a downstairs toilet to back up as well. He worked for about 1 hour and was very thorough. Overall, I was satisfied with the work and the price was about what I expected.

Our kitchen drain clogged completely Sunday morning. I spent 3 hours on Sunday with a plunger, snake, and boiling water, but made no progress. I called Anthony and scheduled an appointment on Monday morning. He showed up on schedule, and had the drain cleared after much auger work. A piece of stainless steel scrubby had jammed about 20 feet down the drain pipe. He was very conscientious, and filled the sink several times to make sure the drain was full clear. He left behind a kitchen floor that was cleaner than before his arrival. I would definitely recommend. There are so many service people in Philadelphia that show up late, do poor work, and charge exorbitant fees. Finding someone who is dependable and courteous is so refreshing! Words of wisdom: Be very careful about old, worn stainless scrubbies that can break up and get washed down the drain. Throw them away when they appear worn.
