I haven't had any problems with the service recommended by Angie's List. But they apparently was not able to work on a one time solution.

They are very good. The men are very professional and stand behind what they do.

Had Them inspect a property that I purchased about a month ago. It appears they actually didn't inspect and just issued a clean report. I have now found 10 feet of termite damage in the only place they had to inspect. (the band joist above a poured concrete basement. It is a full open basement with no obstructions. The inspector came back out the day after and looked at what i found. After a little back and forth he said "I'm human and everyone makes mistakes.... This is what we have insurance for". So i thought things were going to be ok and would be taken care of. Today i call in because it's been 3 days and i have gotten no information about how to proceed. The office manager calls me back and says "Why are you calling me?" I explain how i used them for an inspection and have now found damage on what they were paid to inspect. He then proceeded to berate me for calling him and talk over me every time i tried to answer a question he asked. We are now going to be in a very fun lawsuit. If you are reading this before you hire them... RUN!!!

Disappointed to post this review because we love using locally owned companies. Although reviews were mixed, we took a chance. Ten hours following Humphrey's external treatment for a large yellow jacket nest in our attic, we found ourselves battling a swarm of live yellow jackets INSIDE our home. But the worst of the experience was the company response. We explained to the technician that my 86-year-old father, who lives with us, was in treatment for cancer and also highly allergic to stings. We also expressed concern at the point of service, that the external spray treatment applied, appeared to us to be superficial and might subject us to risk if the nest was disturbed externally, rather than directly neutralized or eradicated. Nevertheless, we trusted Humphreys to professionally address the situation. Instead, my husband and I were chasing a swarm of live yellow jackets inside our home until 2am, to avoid my father being stung, potentially, fatally. Our long-planned family weekend was ruined by painful wasp stings. Four days later, we are still dealing with live and dying yellow-jackets inside our home. The day after treatment we contacted the company to report this horrifying experience, in the hopes of an appropriate apology and refund. Instead, we were treated rudely and offered a partial credit toward future service. Under the circumstances described, future services, which in our opinion was reckless, from this company is not desired. Although we are not seeking financial restitution from this complaint, we'd like to note that the cost of a 20-minute treatment at yard level with an over-the-counter spray can was $343.50. Our check was presented to our bank for payment several days after reporting our experience and requesting return of the check. It is difficult to find credible pest control services. However, we'd like to warn potential clients, especially those with bee sting allergies of our experience with this company.

Services were "provided" by Humphreys Pest Control (Humphreys) on November 18, 2015 for mice treatment. However, on November 20, 2015, I contacted Humphreys to express my dissatisfaction with the services received as well as to request a partial refund and terminate any warranty assumed. Upon my call to Humprheys on November 20, 2015, I spoke to a gentlemen who rudely argued and dismissed my concerns. Ultimately I was transferred to the office manager "Linda" who after a lengthy conversation agreed on a partial refund, upon my insistence. While Linda did agree to a partial refund she stated that she would need to call me the following day to determine the appropriate amount. The following day passed and I never received a follow-up from Linda. At that point I decided to cancel the check provided to your tech on November 18, 2015 in the amount of $238.50. Instead I had to again initiate a call the following week, on November 23, 2015, which is when I first spoke to Ms. Rosamond Humphreys. After hearing out my concerns of poor service, and my offer to pay for materials used as a sign of good faith, Ms. Humprheys agreed to look into the matter further and stated she would contact me in a few days. I did not receive a call or follow-up for nearly a month. On December 22, 2015 I received a letter from Ms. Humphreys which apologized for the poor service I had received but ultimately rejected my request for a reduced price. In an attempt to discuss the letter and reach a resolution, I called Humphreys several times to speak to Ms. Humprheys, who proved difficult to reach, so I left a message with the Linda requesting a return phone call. I had received no phone call or acknowledgment. However, what I did receive was an invoice, on February 29 2016, in the original amount of $238.50, plus a 60 days 'past due' finance charge of $3.58. On March 08, 2016 I sent a letter to Humprheys (via certified mail with a signed receipt/acknowledgement from Humphreys) refuting the charges and again voicing my dissatisfaction with the services provided. Furthermore, despite my complete frustration and dissatisfaction with the situation, as a measure of good faith I even enclosed payment in the amount of $59.63 (25% of the invoice amount, less the finance charge), which I provided as remedy to cover material costs. This did not appear to be in Humprheys satisfaction because n March 31, 2016 I received an additional invoice, for the original amount of $238.50, plus a 90 days 'past due' finance charge of $7.16. Included in the invoice was a note essentially threatening 'collections precedings' if payment is not received immediately. No progress of resolution has been reached. Needless to say this has been am awful experience... I reject the invoices due to poor service and further reject the finance charges. I find Humprheys practices both inappropriate and borderline deceptive. I do not recommend anyone use this company or even communicate with them.

I would recommend Humphrey's to anyone. The first visit was for the estimate. The guy who come out said he did not see any active termites. I told him I rather be safe than sorry and he proceeded with the estimate. It's nice to deal with a company who is honest, rather than just make money. The day of the treatment the guys were early, which is a plus as well. Everyone has been very friendly. I had my last termite treatment in 2002 and paid a lot more than I did with Humphrey's.

Very easy to schedule and prompt at requested time. Whole process takes a few minutes and they are very professional. Since first incident (ants over-running our kitchen), have had very little problems with insects since. Landlord coordinated payment.

First contact was a Friday afternoon and they came out the next day. This was a challenging flea problem and they had to come out again @ no charge. Again, they sent someone out right away the next day. No problem ! The person they sent was knowledgeable and thorough. Great company and people!

Good so far. The problem is greatly reduced. I fully expect full removal in a week or so. Then afterwards, the monthly will remove all.

Scott was very knowable about pest, He knew his stuff about mice and ants. He showed me some trouble spots advised me to cut back some bushes and was overall a great salesman .

I had a bee infestation and they removed the nest.

I liked the guy who came. He was a comedian so I had a nice chat with him while he was here, and he did his job and left. He was here on time and he was here exactly when he said he was going to be here. It didn't take him very long, but we have to wait another couple of weeks to be sure that everything is gone.

We've used them before at the place we moved from. We're very happy with them. My husband's family had used him when he was younger, so we gave them a call and are happy with them.

They did a good job. They got rid of the ants.

I've been looking for sometime now for a good exterminator that can kill the spiders in my house as well as safeguard my 6 cats. Well I finally found one in Humphrey's. I was exceptionally pleased with their service and the care Vince took with being mindful of my busy body cats. I was so pleased I signed a yearly contract with them.

They were very responsive. They came out right away and took care of the problem without any problems. Actually, the technician’s professionalism was what I liked about them. We were at work and I never even met anybody. It was all outside.

I recently had a termite issue so immediately I went through the most recent Angie's list booklet that was mailed out. I found Humphrey had a full page add and was an extremely high rated company. I e-mailed a request and was contacted back very promptly. Communication, setting up the initial inspection and finally the treatment was seamless. This company is very professional and I hope to never need them again. But if I ever have another bug issue they will be my first contact.

It went well. When we first moved in to the house, we had a lot of little ants but since 2010 we have not had them.

I went to their company on Easton Road to make a appointment. They had the service man call me that same day to set up an appointment. They came out that Monday. They were on time too! They went right to work. We had to clear off all the beds and everything out of our draws and put them in plastic bags. We had to wash (sanitize) everything. They sprayed all the beds, woodwork, furniture, floors on all three levels of our house. They also gave us new bed bug mattress covers for each bed. If took about 2 hours to complete the job. Unfortunately the problem did not go away. I called them back two more times. Each time they came on time and were very professional. The last time they came they really went through everything really well. Bedbugs are very hard to get rid of, but I haven't seen any since. The warranty is just for three months, which I feel is unfair for that kind of money. I will not hesitate to call them back if I see them again.

The man I spoke with was very kind and sent someone out within an hour and 15 minutes. I was so pleased with that business for that and for their honesty when they called. They would definitely have my business in the future.

it was a horrible exp.. The tech was late , used vulgar language. Didn't listen to me as to were the problem was. Stated he was the expert and i need to shut my mouth and let me do the job. After that i headed to the office to file a complaint. While in the the service manager was cursing and using language which was unexceptable around anybody. Between him and the owner yelling at each other and the manager making obscene gestures i felt violated and demanded my money back. i was told if i didn't like it to go somewhere else.

Person doing the spraying was finished too fast for my liking. I'm not even sure if he's spraying everywhere that he should since I'm at work when he comes. My wife likes them, so we continue using them.

They were good, very thorough, diligent, prompt, and very courteous too. They have nice service technicians and the service was very efficiently done. They're polite and I think it's high quality. The price is pretty competitive.

Not too happy. They came out and required me to sign up for the entire year 4 times minimum. The guy was out of shape and sweated and wheezed and groaned when he had to climb up to my attic. Came out 30 minutes early when I wasn't home yet and rushed me along to let him come in and do the job before I was prepared. When my 4 times is up I'm done.
