Total ripoff!! I just don't want anyone else to go through what we've gone through. We had a leaky kitchen faucet and I went to yelp to find a plumber. After everything was said and done we walked away with a $49 faucet, a shoddy caulking job, and an $859 bill... and when I called and asked for a break down of charges, Steve the plumber, gave me a song and dance about how he charges $700/$800 for a kitchen faucet installation. It's just not right! After calling a few other plumbers, they told me they charge between $350 and $400 including a $100 faucet. Take your business elsewhere!!

They did a pretty good job. Their price was average. Their quality was good. They were there on time like they said they would be. He came, checked out everything and told me in detail what needed to be done and what was happening prior to actually doing the work. This was the first time I ever used them. I have more that I need to have done and it is possible that I may be calling them.

The rep from DrainWorks looked at the valve and the seeping water and shook his head. He then told me that he needed to "pull the toilet" and open up the floor to install a new 3/8" pipe coming up to the toilet to replace the existing pipe which he said was 1/2 inch and nobody uses that type of pipe anymore. He quoted the total job at $850 including the $125 non-refundable charge they already told me they would have to collect for the visit. He also said that when they opened up the floor the cost could go higher depending on whether they could access the main pipe below. So for $850 they would fix the leak and leave me with a hole in the floor and the need to hire a carpenter and tile guy to repair it. I suspected this was a lot of "bull", since it looked like a simple valve replacement job to me. I had to pay the $125 to get rid of him. Subsequently I called another plumber and guess what? All they had to do was replace the little valve, 20 minute job. BEWARE!

Had 1st plumber come; tried to clear a clog in my sewer line by using a snake entered through my basement sewer pipe; did not work. Called Drainworks, explained what 1st plumber did. Drainworks came the next day; snaked the sewer line from the street. It was an easy and quick job. He told me it would cost $525. I told him the last plumber only charged $175. Drainworks plumber kept saying, "Well it cost you a lot less than a dig up." However, in checking Angie's list I see that most people paid an average of $170 to have the exact same work done. I had a coupon for 15% off. Drainworks plumber haggled me about coupon saying for jobs over $200 I get only $25 off. Also claimed he originally quoted me $550 (definitely not true, he said five and a quarter which means $525). Had a gut feeling this was WAY too much money! Wish I had not used them. I got the 15% off the $525, but $446.25 for this job was exorbitant! Call someone else!
