Sean said I would have the estimate on about a week.When i didn't receive it, I called the office and was told he was out of the office and a message would be left for him that I was waiting for the estimate. I waited a few more days and hadn't heard from Sean so i called back again, and was told the same thing again. I again waited a few more days and called back again and was pretty much told the same thing yet again. Later that day I rec'd by email what looked like a very rushed estimate. I responded with a few questions since the estimate seemed very vague in comparison to the other estimates that i had rec'd and the estimate also did not address some of the work that i wanted to have done. He never responded.

We liked them a lot. They were very friendly, helpful and I felt that they were willing to work within a budget, though we didn't have one. They didn't try to rip us off or sell us something bigger than we needed so I thought they were sensible about what they offered and price-wise too. They did what they said they would do and also showed up on-time, were very neat, clean and thorough, which I appreciated. I have no complaints and I would hire them again. In fact, I just thought about them recently because we need to put in some lights and stuff near the lawn and up the steps.

There was a personalized design discussion at my house. We received a project outline, timeline, and price promptly. The actual work was scheduled within 2 weeks and work was done professionally. They cleaned up the job site after completion.

They are expensive but you get what you pay for! Great design and implementation. They are busy so you may have to wait. I think it is worth it. They handle problems well!

I originally contacted Burke Brothers in early March to and requested a bid for lawn cutting and turf care. I set up an appointment with Jonathan more than a week in advance, for 2 pm on Wednesday, March 28, 2012. Since it was a work day (in the middle of the week), I had to made arrangements to fit my schedule around his availability, which would have been fine if he had kept his appointment. Instead, at approximately 1 pm on March 28 (an hour before the appointment), Jonathan called to tell me that he had another meeting to go to and that he would need to reschedule. During this call, it was clear that he had no idea what services I was interested in, despite the fact that I had explained what I needed in detail to his receptionist when I originally made the appointment. Moreover, he could not actually reschedule during the call because he and quot;did not have his calendar on him.and quot; He finally called back late in the afternoon, at which time we rescheduled for Friday at 2 pm. The next day, I got a call from someone from another company, Penn Turf, that said they had been given my name and that Jonathan and Burke Brothers would not be meeting with me or performing the services we had discussed. Penn Turf, however, does not even offer the services I was requesting. I called back Jonathan from Burke Brothers to confirm that he had in fact asked a completely different company to call me to cancel my meeting with him, and he did. He said that after Burke Brothers had spoken with me the third time, they finally and quot;pulled up a mapand quot; and decided that my house was too far away for them to cut my grass, despite the fact that my home is within their service area. All in all, I wasted nearly three weeks with Burke Brothers, during which time they inconvenienced me by blowing off our appointment, and showed an utter lack of professionalism at every turn. I would suggest looking elsewhere if you want a landscaping company that values professionalism and personal service.

I called Burke Brothers looking delivery of mulch and installation. Received the same response as previous caller. "If that's all your interested in, that's not us", I was told by person who answered phone. I do have other work to be done on my property such as replacing a large flagstone patio with pavers and a wall along with plantings. But I will call on some other landscaping company who isn't just interested in the big bucks at first glance. Too bad, because I too am local and try to support our local businesses. Could not recommend them to anyone.

Burke Brothers did an impeccable job landscaping my large front yard. I've gotten many compliments from neighbors. A couple of neighbors have since used their services. The entire staff is responsive and professional. Follow-up was excellent. I have a lot of experience with contractors and my experience with Burke Brothers was among the best.

I called burke brothers today because of the banner in front of their office stating somethingct like get some work before its too late, before the end of April... I was looking for some landscaping, yard work. The phone was promptly answered and I submitted my request. My location is literally around the corner from their store and told them to please feel free to go to the property and have a look. The woman seemed pleased and said she would get back with me. Much to my surprise and ultimatley chagrin, a message was left on my phone within a few hours. I paraphase here but i was told " your job is too small, your property is too small. You know (condescending tone), we just got back from doing the flower show. We don't have time for you project. " quickly she recovered and in an attempt to save face said " i know everbodies project is an improtant project and is important to you. But we can't help you. Good luck." I geus they are advertising for the "larger properties in Rydel. I have the money to spend so I was offended and humilited.

We have been having them come back and do things related to what they did. They are located close to our house, so it is convenient. They have very responsive staff. The landscape architects are knowledgeable and we like their ideas a lot. Their pricing is reasonable and they have good warranty on their stuffs.

They were not respectful of our budget. They were creative, however they lacked the understanding of the appropriate scope of the project. They gave us a bid for the actual project, but it was too high.

Very well! Vivianne England-Callahan did a terrific job as landscape architect, listened to my concerns and came up with many ideas (also, very cost-effective). Workers were always on time (if not early) and worked very well. Burke Brothers certainly won't be your cheapest option, but they do very very good work.

PROMPTNESS IS NOT THEIR ATTRIBUTE. PLANTS AND TREES ARE NICE IN QUALITY, BUT THEY DID NOT KEEP WITH THE AGREED DESIGN. I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE COMPLETION OF THIS JOB; WHICH BEGAN IN EARLY SUMMER.
