I had this survey done in April 2014. I already have reviews posted but I am still upset, to this day, that their markers were supposed to be permanent, but some have disappeared and one is severely bent due to a neighbor bumping it with his lawn mower. That is not what I call permanent or good quality. There is no way to know where my property line is in a few areas of the borders. I had called them more than once for about 2 years after the survey, but did finally give up when I got no return calls. I am sorely reminded of this every time I cut the grass, as I have to guess where my yard ends and the adjoining neighbor's yard starts. I paid $500 and for all practical purposes, it was money wasted. I would not recommend them to anyone!!

Steve is either too busy to actually meet his customers, or doesn't like personal contacts. All conversations with him were by phone only, and had to be initiated by me. He promised dates and times, but never showed up. His one visit to the location was unannounced and when he identified himself to my wife, he said he was confused by the boundry flags/stakes our neighbor's surveyor had installed. After 3 weeks of missed appointments and ignored promises, confusion about boundry markers and general apathy about communicating with clients, it was time to move on to another surveyor. His response, "But I've got it figured out now!" I didn't and I don't think so. TSR
Description of Work: Contacted Steve Puskar for surveyor services on two homes in Glenshaw PA. He scheduled times to provide the services, but did not arrive any of those days and made no call to reschedule. After multiple missed appointments, and three weeks wait I called and cancelled his services. HIs response was that he had "figured out how to start the job now..."

Description of Work: There were two men who worked for the owner. They were very nice and answered my questions in a professional, kindly manner. I was a bit surprised at the price as it is a lot in a subdivision. I wish that the markers were more substantial and that there were a few more. I asked for permanent markers and was later told by contractors that the ones installed are not permanent because they can be pulled up. I believe they said that permanent markers are concrete and cannot be removed. I have not further checked out this information, so want to make that clear. I was anxious to get this done and wish that I had researched the process somewhat and gotten additional bids. That's always the best thing to do.

Steve was referred by my fence installer as I mentioned that I need a survey for a fence permit that is required in my township. I was told that he was the cheapest. I had called around and he was $150 to $300 less that was others were quoting for the same work. I called Steve and he answered directly and I told him what I needed. He took my info and called be back the same day with a quote. I agreed to the price and he asked when I needed the survey completed. I told him 3 weeks and he said no problem. He completed the staking within the week but we were not home at the time as he never called to say when he was coming. He also did not contact me or leave any instructions about follow up after the staking. A few weeks when by and I still had not heard from Steve and I needed the survey drawing as that was part of the agreement. I called and left a message and he called me back the same day. I told him that I needed the survey drawing for my permit and he said he would get it to me right away. He called me the next day and said he would drop in the mail, and I received the drawing the next day. So for what I needed Steve was a good fit and economical, though I had to drive much of the process. I would recommend Steve for small survey jobs like house sales and projects where you need for a permit as I don't think you will find a more reasonable price. But know that you may have to make a few calls to get what you need and you may not know where you are in the process, but it all worked out to my expectation in the time that I required.

The initial survey was performed in a timely manner. The stakes were all set but within a short period of time a set of stakes could no longer be found. Of course this was on the property line that was essential to have all of the stakes due to upcoming construction. I contacted Mr Steve Puskar to discuss the situation. He started by stating he would have to charge me for any new stakes and then said he would get back to me in a couple days. Needless to say that exact conversation occurred at least five more time over an 8 week period and there was always an excuse why he didn't follow up. Personally it felt like my small project wasn't important enough for him to "waste" his time on or he didn't want to have to follow up on his work. My strongest recommendation would be to save yourself the headaches and wasted time by finding a different surveyor from the start.

Contacted Steve around May 9th, 2013. Told him the survey needs done by May 20th because it was a contingency in our sales agreement on the house and it was important to us that the land was as stated. He gave us a good price, but would not schedule when he was going to do the survey which was a red flag to me. However, I contacted about 5 other surveyors and they were too busy to meet the schedule. Steve assured me it would be done on time and he'd call back. It's June 18th and we just now got the survey, after a lot of hassle. Every time I called Steve he would answer and assure me or my husband that it was nearly done. He said he had already been to the property and just the drawing needed finished. He didn't care that he missed the deadline we gave him, but was always quick to get us off the phone and say he would call back but never did. As the closing date was approaching, we ran the risk of this interfering with our closing on the house. We started calling Steve daily. We offered to meet him to get the survey and he was insistent that he would drop it off where our closing was. Finally our real estate agent got involved and was able to threaten him into delivering the survey to her office. On the plus side, the survey is here. I can't speak for the quality of it because I've never really seen one before. But it looks accurate to my layman's eye. The buildings I expected to see are there. The invoice was delivered as well and was for the price stated (to be paid at closing). He always answered the phone and was pleasant to talk to, but it constantly seemed like he was trying to give us the run around. I would not recommend using him unless you have no other options and/or no important deadline to meet. Look at the reviews on here, plus Google his name to see more. This is a common problem. Looking back, I wish I would have taken the time to call more surveyors and find someone else who could do it, even if it cost more!
Description of Work: Steve performed a land survey on a 4.2 acre parcel with a house, garage, and 2 sheds on the land. A new survey was required to show the buildings. He quoted $650 for a survey without stakes. I have forgotten the price with stakes but it was considerably more so we opted for no stakes because it is a pretty simple rectangular property and there were already pins from the previous survey at the front of the property.

Never called back.
Description of Work: Called Steve because he did a survey about 10 years ago on my property with a previous owner. Figured I'd get a good deal with it already have being done. Talked to Steve on the phone and he said he'd call back once he created an estimate for me and checked out the house on google maps. He never called back.

I spoke with Mr. Puskar about doing a survey of our property so we could install a fence. When I told him our lot was oddly shaped he said he would put some extra markers in for us. I was happy with the price he gave me. He said he needed to look up the property and he would be in touch. About a week later he came out to the house (on a holiday!) and surveyed the property. He showed us where all the markers were and put in the extra markers just as he said he would. He did the survey on Monday and by Thursday we had the report. I am happy with the work performed by Mr. Puskar and appreciate him coming out on a holiday to do the work.

We called for an estimate to survey a 1.2 acre level lot in Shaler Township with stakes at the boundary lines and a map. His estimate was $500.00. He completed the work and charged $550.00 with no explanation for the increase, although that was less than 2 other competing estimates. He marked the property lines with stakes and ribbons. He provided an accurate survey map. The only problem was we had to hound him to get it done. It took about 6 weeks. He is fine unless you are in a hurry.
