I hate to say this but I was not happy with these guys. They showed up 30 min early at least. When they called they said that the pitch of my rook was too steep. I can tell you my entire roof was not this way as I had a roof on my addition and also one above my porch that could have easily been walked on. So, if I had not shown slight disappointment then I assume they wouldn't have looked at all. Anyway, I got ZERO pictures of what they did look at. I only got the typical I can tell you that your rook needs replaced. Well... If I cant replace my roof at least repair the urgent spots. I was told he wouldn't even touch my roof for less than 1500.00 dollars. I'm thinking to myself how can you say that when you haven't even given me any evidence of the issues to begin with.. Needless to say they didn't want to touch my old roof is what it came down to. I really just need someone willing to come over and do the urgent repairs that are absolutely needed at this moment. I felt that they would deal with me to say ok we can go ahead and fix the flashings if needed or at least the critical areas that need some shingles etc. Just not that happy. Sorry.

Gave to give me an estimate that was outrageous

We originally had them come out and inspect our roof since it was visibly sagging. John told us we would need a new roof, gave us a ballpark estimate that day. After another estimate, we decided to go with KC Contracting. John was so friendly and courteous. He responded to all our calls. He was up front with what could happen and gave us estimates for any additional work that might need done once the roof was removed and the additional damage could be assessed. We had some scheduling conflicts on our end, John worked with us through the whole thing and on the day to start was punctual and professional. His crew tackled our house in full force, got the job done early, cleaned up daily and were easy to talk to with any questions. At the end, John called to follow up to make sure we were satisfied. And we are!

I sent an email on Thursday august 14, 2014 asking what the cost would be for roof repair Reply sent same day from John saying "out of town til Thursday and will contact when back" did not hear from him til today after I sent another email Saturday August 23 with "not impressed, not interested" as his response My house in McKeesport has been repeatedly vandalized over the past 18 months I am now trying to do a rehab on her so I can get her rented out or sold and this " not interested" response is not what I was expecting from a popular contractor. WOW

Called & got John right away.Came the day I called.Explained what he thought was wrong & gave us an price. We said we would get back to him.He was not pushy at all.Just stated the facts & left.We called him the same day to schedule the work.It was scheduled to rain alot but we scheduled it for a few days from then.The workers came & did the job as promised in a short period of time.All went well.Charged us what he estimated the work to be.Could not have asked for better service all the way around.

He advised that he is unable to perform the service due to the condition of the roof is very bad & slope and he is unable to get up there. He told me to call Angie's List to request the refund since he did not perform any service.

Things went really well. I had several roofing companies come out but KC was the only one that actually went up to investigate the condition of the existing roof. Actually when they first came out I was asking about moss that was growing on the roof and after investigating John told me I needed a new roof because there were some soft spots and moisture. He said I might be able to wait a year but I'd run the risk of further damage and higher cost to repair. The work was for my whole duplex and the detached garages. The guys worked fast and neat and were really really nice guys to have around, very considerate. I provided treats for them most days and they even cleaned up after themselves. They cleaned up around the lot as well. They used the garages to store their equipment in and each day they picked up stuff and stored it away and out of the grass and driveway area. There was never trash and debris scattered around and the garages were cleared out before they left. I had a lot of plants around the yard and they were careful not to create a mess with my landscapting, being careful where they placed ladders and stuff. I had just had the driveway re-surfaced and they were careful not to spill stuff that messed up the driveway. It was a very positive experience and they had everything wrapped up in just over a week (due to all the rain showers). I would highly recommend them. John was a good listener for what I wanted and a good advisor for what was needed. Before they left they had an old shingle and a new shingle that I could show my son side by side. I appreciated John and his guys making all of it happen so well.

John and crew did an excellent job.Roof looks great. They were very prompt and professional. Cleaned up all debris. Would highly recommend them.

Purchased Big Deal, contractor reached out right away, communicated contact and location information to him, he replied with an email indicated the deal had expired even though the expiration date was December 2014 on what I received from Angie's list. Requested refund from Angie's List and moved on to another contractor.

K C Contracting said that the offer had expired and that I should contact Angie's List for a refund. I contacted them back stating that the ad says it does not expire for another 236 days. They did not respond. Even if the offer is still good, I do not trust this company to do the work. Please refund.

He was very polite and knew what he was doing. Looking forward to hear back from him.

I ask them to check the roof of my main house and garage. They can only check the garage because the house (3 story) roof is too high for them to performance the check.

We left a message to schedule the $49 inspection advertised on Angie's List. He returned the call to say that he didn't have time for such small jobs.

He was puncture and professional. It was done quickly.

John arrived on time and was very honest and professional. He explained the problems caused by whoever installed the old roof and even showed me the worst areas in person after I went up on the roof myself. We decided to go with another company to get a new roof, but only because the company we chose was more local.

They did an amazing job, very thorough and professional, and the price they have quoted for further services is fair and reasonable. We are using their services for replacing our roof, exterior painting, gutter replacement, etc.

They were fantastic. I would recommend them to anybody. They exactly what we wanted to the "T." The project was fantastic, the outcome was exactly what we were hoping for. We thought that they were reasonably priced.

The roofers arrived bright and early on the 12th of April at 8:30 and proceded to correct the pitch of the gutter to alleviate the water retention problem and lessen the chance of a major build up of ice in the winter! They also sealed the seams in the corner of the gutter that leaked when it rained!! The work went from 8;30 a.m to approximately 10:15 a.m. with a stop at Home Depot to get sealer!! The roofers also hosed out the debris from the gutter and cleaned up nicely!! If I ever have need of a contractor again, I will surely consider them!!!

John came and recommended repairs. The quote was $550 for the repairs and applied also the $100 discount. He was flexible on when to do it and it was helpful because my schedule was tight.

KC did a great job of a crack in our ceiling that turned into a big job. Excellent work , very professional , did more than they had to to get the job done , and done in a timely fashion . I would highly recommend company . Will use again if situation dictates.

We called to ask questions about repairing or replacing a skylight in a home we are closing on. Even though this company is too far away to provide services for our new home, they spent ten minutes on the phone with us (right before they were closing shop for the day) helping to estimate price quotes and giving tips. They are very friendly and professional, and we would use their services if we lived closer! Thanks so much!

I called this company on January 14th and John did call back the next day to say that he might stop by on the 16th, and if not that day, he would come by on Sunday January 18th. He stated he would call first. He never showed up. I called him Sunday evening t to ask what happened and when he could stop by.....it is now the 24th, and no word from John. I believe that integrity and honesty is most important in the service industry, and some companies, such as this one, don't seem to believe that. It's pretty basic, if you can't make an appointment call. I question whether this company will do anything they say they will do.
