Description of Work: I've waited over a year to ensure that work performed would stand up to Pittsburgh weather. I needed a new roof, and also had an aluminum-clad dormer that needed attention. I wanted James Hardie siding for the dormer, and knew that combining a roof and dormer work would be a lower cost than performing either project alone. There was also a need to replace some of the existing aluminum clad trim on the west side of my house. | |John came out to Plum for an estimate for the roof and dormer. There aren't many contractors that handle Hardieboard siding in town, but I was pleased with the price and the roof estimate was in line with quotes from other contractors. I explained the additional need for updates to some of the trim - and John assured me that could be worked in to the project. | |The crew was here by 8:00 am for the duration of the project. There were a couple days of weather delay, but all-in-all the project was done in less than a week (from what I recall). I was very pleased with the results - roof installation and dormer siding. That was December. | |March brought high winds - which are especially rough on the west side of my house. Winds lifted up some of the trim aluminum that John's crew had installed - so I called to let him know and to work on follow-up repair work. I will also mention that I travel extensively for work, and wanted to be home when repairs were made. John and I worked that out, and within a week of my return John had some of his guys out to replace the section of trim cladding that had lifted off. | |I am very pleased with the quality of the work performed, and the materials used for the project. I would use John's crew again - and when I'm ready to add a new kitchen and porch onto my home - I'll call John again for a bid.

Description of Work: AFTER A HARD WINTER I seemed to have some gutter problems and having used K.C Contracting in prior years, decided to have them check ot my roof. They found problems with the pitch of my gutters and lack of a way for the water to leave them causing an overflow problem. John and helper preceded to run a connecting downspout to an existing spout which seems to have solved the problem. They also cleaned out the garbage that had collected in the gutters and cleaned up very well! I will Hire them again if needed!

Description of Work: Had our home inspected & the inspector noticed some pitting in the shingles. Some our roof was just installed last summer, called the co. & they immediately came out to check. All was well. Very professional company. Would gladly refer them to family & friends.

Description of Work: I purchased a deal for $49 for a roof inspection and $100 credit. He told me that the deal was old and I got it refunded. He was nice. He ended up doing minor roof repairs and it was fine.

Description of Work: gave good advice but was interested in new installation , not my repair job

Description of Work: John and his team did a great job on shoring up our main support beam in our basement. He suggested a much less expensive and just as effective methodology to our structural engineer that reduced the cost of t he job by nearly 30%. We have used KC contracting several times in the past couple years and as always they kept us informed, showed up on time and worked on the job with no interruptions unti it was complete.

Description of Work: He has reviewed my needs, roof leakage effecting the wall in the attic. He is helping me to resolve the problem for immediate issues and long-term to not repeat itself.

Description of Work: Strip old roof, repair damaged wood, install new flashing and exhaust vents, ridge vents, adjust gutter slopes, remove over hanging tree branches, install ice guard, drip edges and new architectural dimensional shingles. Came on time as scheduled with a dedicated team and leader. Methodically and efficiently replaced 6 roofs, 27 squares. A quality job completed on time and did not stray from the budget. Honest, hardworking competent team and highly recommended.
