David's Improvements

David did an excellent job on our new shower. He was prompt and very professional. He went out of his way to make sure we were satisfied. He was very easy to deal with whenever my wife and I had additional features added in. All expenses with receipts were sent via email during the project. He went above and beyond to make sure he kept our house clean during the remodel. We would recommend him and hire him again without hesitation.

David's Improvements just completed a new bathroom at my house. I wanted a bathroom on the first floor. He turned a screened in porch into a full bathroom with trim and moldings and a beautiful custom made shower, laying all the tiles himself. The bathroom has an elegant industrial look. Its gorgeous! David is experienced, reliable and trustworthy and does great work. I would definitely hire him again.

We are new homeowners and were looking for a contractor to do a complete overhaul of our two 50's style bathrooms (floors, tile, shower door, tub, fans, lighting, toilet, vanity, plumbing, etc). When I met David it was obvious that he is knowledgeable and takes a lot of pride in his work Even during the initial meeting he chatted about different ideas for our space and gave explanations (in layman's terms) as to how he would handle the various aspects of the job. As someone who is not very handy around the house it was helpful and reassuring to hear about the process that he would be undertaking to redo our bathrooms. David's work proved to be true to my initial impression. He kept us in the loop with his progress and guided us through choosing everything from ceiling fans to tiles. He was always ready with helpful design tips and kept an eye out for products we might like while at the store. He kept our budget in mind throughout the whole process by providing input on the areas he thought we could save or what materials were truly worth buying at a higher quality. David was very responsive to texts, phone calls, and emails. Before he even started work on our bathrooms I called him from Home Depot while overwhelmed trying to figure out what I should be looking at or considering. He quickly returned my call and talked me through ceramic vs porcelain tiles and different product brands among other items (he even offered to swing by if needed). David's hard work and attention to detail have resulted in two gorgeous new bathroom's. We will be keeping David in mind in the future as other home projects come up! Thank you David!

David's Improvements gutted and renovated the bathroom in my WWII era house. Everything was mostly original and needed replaced. The walls and floor were concrete and the plumbing was buried in the concrete. He saved what he could and gutted and redid the rest, putting in a new floor, drywall, plaster and new paint on the walls, and tile and soap holders in the shower with a glass door, all new appliances and behind the scenes/under the surface things - plumbing, heating ducts, electricity. It looks beautiful and his workmanship is excellent. Everyone who has seen my new bathroom is impressed. I trust his judgement with helping me pick out what works best in the space, what is quality without being too expensive, and what is good for resale should I ever decide to sell the house. He puts 100% into each step of the process and knows what will work from his years of experience, and changes course when needed. It's hard to find a person you can trust with so much knowledge, experience and who takes pride in his work. I found this in David's Improvements and I am so glad! He understands the whole process and gives his best effort in all he does. Thank you David for my beautiful and functional new bathroom!

The dryer is working again!! Dave was very punctual and professional. I will definitely call him again and have already referred him to my daughter.

It went great. David was very hard working, attentive to details, and really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the finished product. This was our first major home renovation and he helped guide us through an elaborate process making it as smooth as possible and ensuring we were comfortable with all decisions. He was personable and professional - someone definitely worth hiring. We appreciate all he has done & continues to do for us!

Was not something they do, however they are listed under handyman so I’m not sure where the disconnect is there.

David is wonderful! We have used his services in the past, but this was our biggest renovation: a kitchen. There's no way for a renovation of that type to not be obtrusive in your life and difficult (weeks without a way to prepare food, wash dishes, etc.), but I truly believe that working with David makes the whole process less painful than it might otherwise be. He did a great job, keeping us updated daily on the many--MANY!--tasks that had to be done. He was a good sounding board for the million little decisions that have to be made for such a job, which was so helpful to us as first-timers. His breadth of experience is very useful that way. The end product is better than we ever could have imagined. We absolutely love our kitchen, thank you David!! The "before" picture shows teal walls (and the wall that we knocked out)

Awesome. David went above and beyond expectations. He did a great job with the bathrooms and also identified unrelated problems with our roof and devoted a LOT of extra time to help us address them, even arranging bids from other contractors. He is GREAT.

When I called him, he said he was not taking any more handyman jobs until some time next year as he was booked up.

I only have the highest recommendation for David's Improvements! David was right on time, walked in with his business card, and asked if he could enter through the garage so he didn't have to muddy up my first floor. All small things that go a long way in ensuring confidence and trust that this person takes pride in his company. David was incredibly knowledgeable about each thing I asked him advice on and was able to troubleshoot and fix the problems I had asked him to come take a look at. Additionally, he took the time to walk around our entire property (which we just bought) and give his candid advice on areas that will help improve our "Pittsburgh water in the basement" situation.

It went well. David was responsive, on time, professional, friendly, did good work, and made some good recommendations for other improvements we hadn't considered.

Better than I expected because Dave is an expert at what he does. He had the whole front room torn down in half a day, and then the following day he put in beautiful wooden railings along the front to match the rest of my wooden railings leading down my front stairs. He also helped me enormously by trimming out of control front bushes that hid the porch, and trimmed a tree bush that blocked passage on my front stoop. Dave cleaned everything as he went along. He is the best handyman I could ever hope to fine! Thanks to Angie's List!!

Great project; David has the relationships we needed to quickly finish the project. He was creative, reliable, and highly responsive. Took great ownership in the job; we would hire him again.

I used David’s Improvements to mount (replace) a motion light on my house. The light is terrific and much brighter than my old light that was on the house when I bought it years ago. David arrived timely to complete the job and was very professional. Work was completed within a very short time and I am very pleased with the result. This light sheds such a clean bright light and is really beautiful. I am going to use David’s Improvements in the very near future to mount a fluorescent light in my basement as I need better illumination in my workspace there. My dogs are also always pleased to see David around.😍🐕🐕I would suggest David’s improvements to anyone looking for home improvements and looking for a good, reputable & honest handyman. He’s a good one!

David did an excellent job repairing my brick siding. His price was very reasonable. As a matter of fact, after completing the work, he reduced the agreed upon price by 50% since the repairs went faster than anticipated. I highly recommend David and will utilize his services in the future if needed.

Had David over to do some home improvements done. I need a Ring doorbell installed and also needed a ceiling fan replaced in my Florida room. David also repaired/replaced sensors in my garage as they had went bad. I was very satisfied w/ the work he has done thus far. This is the second time I have used David for home repairs. He's a good man...honorable, prompt and efficient; all traits that aren't easy to find in the Home Repair Industry. My dogs even love David and get so excited when he's here. Would recommend DHI to family and friends for sure.
