I’m so glad I hired A Amendt Pest Control to deal with a yellow jacket nest under my roof. They were able to work with my schedule and sent a representative the next morning. He arrived right on time and treated the area. He also walked around my property to make sure there were no other problems. I haven’t seen a yellow jacket since the treatment. I will definitely hire A Amendt in the future.

Had previous experience with Amendt Pest control years back and when we had yellow jackets appearing indoors, I called for service. They quoted a flat fee over the phone for removal of the problem. Tech arrived on time and quickly found the source of the problem. Apparently the insects had created an entranceway into an exterior wall and built a nest within the wall. They were then coming inside through small cracks in the structure (it's an old building) and the technician quickly addressed the problem with the appropriate chemicals and sealed up the areas where the insects were coming in. He said that we should see some insect bodies over the next few days and then the problem should be controlled. A week later I was seeing tiny insects in the same room and fearing a recurrence called Amendt. Same tech came back and showed me that these were different insects (gnats) coming from a houseplant and instructed me on the best way to deal with this new problem. No charge for the return visit. While he was there, he reviewed the past problem and gave another treatment for good measure at no additional charge. Thorough and professional. Highly recommended.

I called Amendt based on a recommendation from a family member. We suddenly had wasps coming into our house and did not know where they were coming in. The company was very quick to send someone out that same day, which I really appreciated because I have small children. Bobby came out and did a thorough walk through of the outside of our home as well as finding any of the wasps in the house. He treated the perimeter and rid the inside of the house of any wasps as well. He was very helpful with any questions and very professional. The company even went above and beyond and emailed me a data sheet for each of the treatments that they used in and around the outside of the house because I am pregnant, and my doctor wanted this information. I would highly recommend using this company and plan on using them in the future should any problems arise again.

They always treat my home. I had a huge Centipede problem. You can't believe how many Centipedes I would see everyday. Three companies came and told me I could never get rid of the problem. I've never seen one Centipede. I signed a contract with them because I don't want them to come back. They're completely thorough. They are friendly and trustworthy. Thoroughness is really important. They are also very neat. I have wood floors and they're very careful not to get the bug spray on the floors where it's not needed. They're just real careful. My interaction with them has been fabulous. I'm very satisfied. Three bug companies came here. For seven years, I just lived with all these Centipedes. Then, I called them. They're by far the best pest control in the area.

My apartment was treated for bedbugs several times with no success. I don't know how easy it is to get rid of them but I would imagine it isn't the easiest thing to do. With that being said we have to hold professionals to a certain standard. Amendst handles the bed bug extermination in my building. I believe the bedbugs came in through a socket from my neighbor?s apartment. After she was infested they did a precautionary treatment on my unit. A few weeks after the precautionary treatment. I could feel them biting me in bed at night. I got out of bed and laid on the sofa. They must have been in my clothes because I could still feel them. I tried sleeping on the floor and I think I changed my clothes. I was able to get some rest on my second sofa. The treatment was scheduled and I followed some of the instructions. I tried to wash and dry everything but only did half of my clothes. The exterminator gave me a time frame in the afternoon. They came on time. My apartment was treated. A short time later the bed bugs were back. When the exterminator came again I told him that they were in the sofa. My apartment was treated and when I spoke with the exterminator he said that I did not have bed bugs in my sofa. After several treatments one of the Amendt managers came to inspect my unit. I wasn't home when he conducted his inspection. Someone from my building was with him. I have a plant with a drip container under it. The Amendt manager said that the water attracted fruit flies. Are you serious, was he suggesting that I was being bit by fruit flies? He said that he didn't find any bed bugs. He left and I was informed about the inspection and possible fruit flies. Sometime later I complained about the bed bugs which were still biting me and the manager returned. This was the first time I met him, but something about his attitude bothered me. He conducted his inspection and this time he found bedbug eggs. Then he inspected the sofa. I had already told the other exterminator that there were bedbugs in the sofa and the manager had already done an inspection. He pulled out the sofa bed and found a living bed bug. The mattress on the sofa bed was supposed to have a cover and it did not. Which makes me think the original exterminator did not even check it. The exterminator came back later that week. I tried to tell him that the sofa needed a cover. Before I finished he rudely said that the manager already told him what to do. My apartment was treated and a short time later I could feel the bugs again. I was scheduled for another treatment. I called Amendst to ask that a different exterminator be sent out. I had to call several times because it ws getting close to 5 o?clock. The third time I called the guy on the phone was surprised that I didn't get a call back. He told me that he was going to tell the manager again but before he could finish I was transferred which tells me the manager was right there the entire time. He was very rude on the phone. He said that he wasn't going to answer any questions without my building manager present. The guy was plain rude. On my last treatment the Amendt manager treated my apartment. As I was leaving he told me that this was it, as if that would be the last treatment I would get. I told him that he was finally going to get rid of them. He did not. I called Philadelphia Housing. They contacted the front office of my apartment and apparently carpet Beatles were found. I think Amendt made that up. Neither the Amendt manager nor the exterminator mentioned anything about carpet beatles to me. I am trying to give a fair review so I must say that the dryers in my building have not been working properly which is a part of the process. I still feel like they should have been able to get rid of the bugs after numerous attempts. I give Amendt two thumbs down

We have been termite free since 1976. Started service with Amendt who also discovered defect in structure and has serviced our property ever since.

The inspection was very thorough and the inspector explained the detials fully ("old damage" vs. new damage, for example).

We have had A AMENDT PEST CONTROL CO INC out to our parents house in the city for pest management. The company has been wonderful. We have used their service 3 times and find them to professional, informative, punctual, and conscientious. The office folks have been able to work with our schedule and very quick to return calls. I recommend them highly.

Amendt's techs are expertly trained. Very professional. Have had Ament for about 30 years. Trust them implicitly! And a pleasure to deal with.

A. Amendt Pest Control, Inc. is an outstanding pet control company, who rid my home of a centipede problem when no one else could. For seven years, large, creepy centipedes were in every room in my very old home, built in 1873. These bugs made me extremely uncomfortable. Prior to calling Amendt, no pest control company could guarantee successful control of centipedes. Generations of these bugs had lived in the foundation of the house and surrounding dirt, and it was nearly impossible to get rid of them, they said. One company rep said sealing and coating the old basement walls would help, but he couldn't guarantee it would solve the problem. All said not to worry, that centipedes only live for a day in the house, but seeing five or six a day was a problem, as well as embarrassing when I had guests. I had given up hope to ever being rid of them, and then I called Amendt. I am happy to say that Amendt Pest Control, Inc is the only company that was able to eradicate the centipedes from my home. Ed, from Amendt Pest control, took great care and time spraying between the rocky walls of the basement areas. He treated the interior and exterior of the entire house, and discussed my concerns in a knowledgeable and courteous manner. I now feel much more relaxed in my home. I am so glad that I called Amendt Pest Control.

The inspector was great and the dog was sweet. I got some useful information about various remedies for keeping small infestations at bay. However, they didn't detect any infestations. I may have had only 1 or 2 insects, but I am extremely allergic to bed bugs and had awful, weeping welts from their bites. The infestation never reached a critical mass for the dog to detect the bites, so I didn't end up having any more solutions after the inspection than I did before. A few months later, I opted for a heat treatment to end the bites. That was successful, and I have been bite-free since December. If you have been getting bitten consistently (nightly, etc), this company could help you find the bugs. However, an extremely early infestation may still be undetectable to the dog.

We had a wasp nest and removal was about 1/3 of yearly service so we got the whole year. We had extensive ant issues and occasional mouse in the attic. Bobby was great, professional, very knowledgable and responsive.

First, I have to say, when I called them the receptionist handed me off to the owner. The owner could try to be a better and quot;people personand quot;. His demeanor was very condescending and he brushed me the wrong way right from the beginning. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and asked him to send someone out. Mind you, I had a houseful (approximately 150 to 200) of flies in my kitchen and living room. I was in a panic. He didn't seem it was any big deal and said the earliest he could send someone out would be the following afternoon. Needless to say I was up a creek without a paddle. I just had to wait and keep swatting those buggers until the next day. I did find a new type of fly window stickers at Walmart and as soon as I got home I put them on the windows and caught at least 25 on each sticker (4 stickers come in a pack). I highly recommend these stickers. OK. Now it's Friday. The exterminator called me in the morning and asked basically why he was coming? I told him the owner said he'd be at my home in the afternoon. Apparently there is a lack of communication in that office. He juggled his schedule and fit me in (he already had a big commercial job in the afternoon). I was very thankful he could come when he did. One thing that bothered me is that he was not sure he had more than the two traps that was written down on his job sheet. Anyway, he found another one (bringing the total to 3). The worker was very personable and explained what needed to be done around the house where the flies may have gotten in (i.e. caulking around the windows).

They are very good, we've been very happy with them. They are courteous.

Inspector was prompt. Showed up on time and returned calls quickly. Remediation was scheduled and performed extremely quickly (same day!).

They have always been extremely responsive and they have been great about coming out right away and dealing with our problems. Even when we were on vacation, they came up with ways to deal with the problems that we were having. We have an annual contract with them.

They were great! These people get an A+ as far as professionalism and what they did for my parents. They were on time and told us what they were doing. They were wonderful; I was definitely satisfied. I plan on using them again.

It's okay. They show up on time and they call me in advance for a date to come. We have mice and the person always does that.

When I first moved into my home there were a lot of water bugs and A Amendt cleaned up everything. I have used them ever since. Now they come every 2 months and spray for bugs.

THE TECHNICIAN WAS NICE, BUT DIDN'T IDENTIFY THE CARPENTER ANTS I HAD IN MY HOUSE FOR OVER A YEAR WHEN ASKED ABOUT THEM MORE THAN ONCE. THEREFORE, THEY WEREN'T TREATED. TWICE, HE DIDN'T SHOW UP AND SAID THEY HAD MISTAKENLY PUT MY WORK ORDER IN THE SLOT FOR THE FOLLOWING DAY. ONCE HE WAS OVER AND HOUR LATE AND DIDN'T CALL. WHEN I CALLED THEM THEY GAVE ME THE TECHNICIAN'S PHONE NUMBER AND TOLD ME TO CALL HIM.

THEY WERE VERY PUNCTUAL AND THE STUFF THEY SPRAYED DID NOT HAVE AN AWFUL ODOR.
