Two Men & A Truck - Glen Mills

Description of Work: We moved from a townhouse to a single home in the area, only about 10 miles away. We had booked these movers and had the owner of the company come out and do an estimate. The estimate he gave was for $1100 for 8 hours, one truck and three movers. On the day of the move, they showed up at the correct time, but b/c they were paid hourly, they took their time.Most of the time one of the movers would work and the others would be on the phone or "resting". My husband and I were moving the boxes from upstairs and the basement to the frint door to move them along and to make it faster. We legally had to be out of the house by 1pm; the movers did not leave the first house until after 3. They filled the truck halfway then claimed they had to get another truck to complete the move, which would of course take more time. (And the truck was not even completely filled.) They said the estimate was wrong, until they found out it was the owner who gave it. The had to make two trips, and with the first, they left some of our furniture on the front lawn. They were moving from 9:30 am until 8:30 pm. I had called the main office to let them know what was going on and I know the lovers got a phone call from them and then started working a little quicker. They broke three lamps in the process, four glasses, one vase, a desk, and also left some of our things behind. They also did not reassemble what they took apart (unbroken lamps, another desk...) We complained to management and it turns out they would only charge us the original estimate and would try to reimburse us for the broken items. We are still waiting for the paperwork. I will never use these movers again.
