From the moment, we contacted JR Paving, we dealt directly with the owner. I can't day enough about his professionalism, punctuality, and honesty. Many contractors didn't even return our phone calls when we said it was a residential job. They didn't even want to hear the fact that our residential driveway was actually fairly large. JR Paving came out after one call. He evaluated the existing driveway and was able to point out all of the problems before I ever had to mention them. He discussed the various options. Presented everything very clearly and honestly with a fair price. At one point, we were considering expanding the driveway on one side to better reach a shed. JR Paving came up with a better alternative that met our real requirement and was much cheaper than the expansion that we had suggested. Again, it was the straightforward and honest approach that sold us. We booked that day. The owner told us that he'd be back within a week to start the job. He wrote up the contract and we were good to go. Exactly as promised, the JR Paving crew showed up on the day/time agreed upon. They quickly went to work in removing layers of the old driveway, outlining the current perimeter to include the new area near the shed, and prepping the surface properly for the asphalt. With the prep work finished and after determining the correct grading for the new driveway, they laid the new thick asphalt surface. The entire job took about 3 days. While I was unable to be at home for the installation, my father (a retired tradesman) volunteered to come over to the house and "supervise" for us. We came home each night to rave reviews from my father, who is not easily impressed. He mentioned continually, how the crew didn't cut corners and made sure to take extra care in getting everything right. he also noted that the owner was right there throughout the project, making sure all was done to his satisfaction. After the job was finished, the entire site was cleaned. The driveway was blocked off for a week to allow it to properly set. It has been 2 months since the installation and the driveway looks great and is properly graded for our property. Since installation, we have been contacted by JR Paving to check on our satisfaction. All in all, this was a great job by JR Paving.

I have so many good things to say about JR Paving. They were professional, the quality of their materials was excellent, and the job was done right. The price was extremely fair, and we got more for the money than any other competitors in the area offered. Every aspect of the job was explained ahead of time and they did exactly what was promised. JR Paving significantly widened and lengthened my driveway at our home and everything went perfectly. This company paid attention to details, and showed enormous expertise in managing heavy equipment while showing the utmost concern for our property. In these days it is difficult to say that everything went perfectly, there was excellent value for the money, and the job was done in a professional and knowledgeable manner. I would recommend this company to my friends and would use them again for any project, big or small They deserve an A+

They did a very shoddy job on the street and common drive way, and we had to get another company to fix it a year later. I would never us J R for anything.

We found J.R. Paving on Angie's List. Turns out, they were located close to our home. J.R. came out and looked at the job an hour after I called him! We walked the driveway, he measured, told me what he would do and we shook hands on the price. The price was fair and the approach seemed solid. We have a very long driveway that was in very bad shape. They showed up THE NEXT DAY, and in 2 days the job was done. They were professional and took care of all the details. This is a great company that I would recommend to anyone in need of paving work.

I called 6 paving companies, 4 came out and gave me estimates. My driveway was in bad shape.....mostly loose stones and grass. JR Paving gave me the best price and explained step by step how they would do the project. They were prompt, professional, and were able to complete the job in less than a day. They came with several dump trucks and a trailer full of equipment necessary to dig out and level, put down stones and then roll out asphalt. Another thing that impressed me is they cleaned up after themselves so well that once they were gone, other than a new driveway I couldn't tell that they were even here. Driveway looks great! And the neighbors were asking for estimates for their own driveways from Joe before he left. Thank you Joe!

The crew used a saw and then a jack hammer to break up the damaged concrete. Removed the broken up concrete and then poured and finished the new section of floor. The job went smoothly and took about half a day. JD himself put whats called an Italian finish on the new surface. I could walk on it in about a day and by day three I was able to put a car in the garage. JD and his crew do a nice job, don't leave you hanging and I will have them back before the start of winter to seal the new driveway they installed this summer.

For several years I have been calling pavers and sealers to find out what I should do with my driveway. Most never returned my initial call, some came to look and I was told that it needed to be refinished not sealed. Fine, but then they would fail to follow up with an estimate. I guess they were all very busy or didn't like my driveway, I'll never know. Finally I tried J.R. Paving which is on Angies List ( so were the others ). JR himself arrived in a timely fashion, suggested what needed to be done and gave me a reasonable price. Because of my past experiences I agreed on the spot. One week later, as he promised, his crew, trucks, and paving machinery arrived. One day was spent grinding off the top surface and the next day laying the fresh asphalt. They did a very nice job, cleaned up nicely and didn't harm the property with their giant paving machines. I would recommend them, and use them in the future.

They came and re-paved my entire driveway in one day, scraping/milling it down to the base then laying new asphalt. It's now 3 years old and still in fantastic shape. I love that they widened the driveway by 1 foot too, which makes it easier to navigate. The workers were prompt, professional, thorough, detail oriented and responsive. I would use them again.

I am very pleased with the job. Joe came to my house after I spoke to him on the phone, explained everything in detail, gave me a reasonable estimate and 2 days later he did the job. Everything was handled in a professional way . Since I have a very long driveway it took him and his crew 2 days to finish the job. They cleaned up everything before they left and it looks beautiful.

Choose them because they were voted best pavers by local newspaper. Motly crew with extensive tattoos, missing teeth, speaking English and Spanglish look like right out of a pirate movie-- won't be wearing nice clean "professional" uniforms. Very courteous. Hard working and efficient. I just sat on my butt and watched. Very responsive on doing the bid and showing up on time. Cannot rate price, as I did not do enough bids to know for sure. However, price was $900 less than the other local estimate, and $1000 less than an estimate I got last year. Hard to rate quality, as I am no expert, but they did everything that said they would do.
