Description of Work: Rick gave me a bid for my sidewalks - good price - I was going to give him the job but then I asked him about a job at my sons house. We made an appointment - he never showed and I tried to call several times but he quit returning my calls. He also goes under the name of Barone Masonary and Concrete

It was a n excellent experience. They did everything that I asked for and more. His employees, Mark ,Troy, and Jeff were great guys. They explained things to me before they did them, I was asked over and over for my input on the size, shape, and texture of the steps and sidewalk. After they made the forms, I was consulted again to make sure I was going to be happy with the results .The results were excellent...My wife and I are so pleased.I would highly recommend Barone Masonry & Concrete for any of your concrete replacement or repair needs. It says "No Job Too Big or Too Small" right on Rick's card.......I give them 5 stars out of 5 for sure! :0)
Description of Work: Repaired brick and blocks. Poured new steps and sidewalk at my home.

They were excellent in every way. They were on time, did a good job, and got in and out quick. They did a job that would have probably taken others a week or more and they finished in 3-4 days.
Description of Work: They replaced my foundation for me.

Description of Work: I reached out to Rick to have a slab added to my back yard. He said he would be out the next day to look at it. Never came so I called back and we set an appt for Saturday at noon. No show again
The contractor provided me with a few references and I was able to drive and look at a few examples of their work, including a 20+ft real railroad tie wall. They also seemed like a good pick at first, because they took credit cards and I wasn't sure how long it would take to get a loan vs needing the wall done soon. The work began around the end or March 2012 and wasn't completed until June 18th. The initial work on the wall didn't take too long, but when it came to the porch column and finishing up filling gravel in the wall and spot pointing, it was difficult to get the contractor back out, due to them being busy, apparently. The owner was responsive on texts/phone calls, but towards the end, the porch was held up with a temporary board a bit too long and I felt like I had to twist their arm to finish the spot pointing. A few months after completion, everything seems to be structurally sound. It may not be the most ascetically pleasing wall; the way the blocks are cut, the, exposed edges look a little odd due to the locking/step back slots. Behind the wall was sort of filled in with gravel, but not really landscaped. I am not too concerned by this, as this was more of an emergency/low budget, structural repair on a home I recently purchased. If I have the cash available, I may go with someone else next time, but for basic, emergency structural work, Rick's Masonry did the job.
Description of Work: I was sort of in a pinch and needed a retaining wall rebuilt, that was leaning into my neighbor's driveway, the dirt was also potentially holding up a porch column, that was starting to crumble. I also figured I would have my entire house spot pointed at the same time. I wanted the wall built with versa lok blocks, not sure of what brand/model I really got, as the contractor never really got back to me when I asked, in case I needed get extra blocks for another wall one day. After the contractor ripped down the wall and looked at the porch column, decided that it needed to be completely ripped out and rebuilt for an additional $1700, which brought the total price to match the 2nd lowest estimate I received.

I am handicapped and I needed new steps and a hand railing for safety purposes. They jack-hammered out the old steps and left a terrible mess with the concrete. I was unable to go out the front with nothing but clay and concrete where the old steps were. The steps are different heights. The railing was pipe and put in incorrectly. I have nothing to hold onto at the last step.
Description of Work: Consumers, please beware!! This company's work is shoddy at best. Both sides of the steps are a terrible eyesore. They did not take all of concrete out , so I'm unable to plant anything. They started the job and I did not see them again for weeks. I now had no steps and workers to finish the job. I called every other day with the promise that they would come the next day. It was the worst experiences I've had with contractors. I certainly would not recommend.

Rick's Masonry & Concrete performed sloppy grouting work. They left junk by my yard and never came back to get it after I called a couple of times. The roter teller that was left in my yard was broken and a few other items were never retrieved. He did some jobs for my neighbors and they are experiencing the same problems. They left junk in their yard too. I was hoping my retaining wall stays up. he exceeded the height limit. The wall is 4 feet tall and the block of wall I was told needs to be 2 feet tall.
Description of Work: Rick's Masonry & Concrete replaced and re grouted bricks on my front steps and sidewalk. They also performed some grouting on the wall in the back, they straightened the bricks. They also built a retaining wall in home.
