Wells & Sons was great to work with. The lady who answers the phone was very pleasant and helpful and delivered an excellent first impression and was able to work around my limited schedule. Guys showed up within the allotted time frame and performed the work as requested. Both gentlemen were very professional and left my house cleaner than when they came. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Their pricing is fair, and the guys are honest and professional (they saved me from grossly overpaying a chimney outfit in Media for unnecessary work). I'm very satisfied with Wells and will use them again.

They were great. Very professional and were honest in said my chimney was very clean and I obviously didn't use it much (which we don't) so he didn't charge for a cleaning but did get the dead squirrel out which smelled awful. No complaints at all.

These guys were great. In every interaction I had, either in person or on the phone, the staff was always professional and helpful. The first contractor looked at all the possible problems inside the house and explained everything very clearly- because of how high my chimney is they had to send a second contractor to assess the outside, but setting up the second appointment was very easy, in fact they called me to set it up less than an hour after the 1st contractor left. The estimate was very reasonable and much less than what I had been quoted by a different contractor. The work was done on time and well. I would definitely use them in the future.

Here it is Monday morning, 6-30-14 and its 8:40 in the morning and no one has called or showed up for the appointment. I called the office, it rang for a long time before someone answered and asked me to hold which was for about 2 minutes. When the man come back on the line, I explained about my appointment time and how no call & no show. The man told me he didn?t have me down for a time, just for the date. I advised him I was given a time of between 8-8:30 he said not that?s not right they give a window of between 8am and 12. The man was not nice, had a poor attitude and definitely should not be speaking to customers on the phone. He acted like I was lying about being told between 8 and 8:30. If this is the way your company speaks to their customers on the phone I am surprised they are still in business. I told him that I would not be using their business for my needs and I would leave a review on Angie's List.

I got estimates from two companies. Both prices were very similar. I went with Wells & Son because you can choose from a number of different colors for the stucco. The work was done on two different days. One day for the wire lathe and base coat. The other day, about a week later, to put up the stucco. Each time the two workers were on time and worked efficiently. There was no existing flashing on the old chimney and I was hoping they would also put up the standard metal flashing where the chimney meets the roof. Instead they said they used some sort of J channel (haven't gotten on the roof to inspect yet however). If you need flashing work be sure to have that clearly stated in the written proposal. I would consider using again, possibly for additional work on our fireplace mantel.

It worked out well. They did a good job and were very professional. It was a good deal and I would use them again.

The initial inspection of the house 15 years ago noted issues with the mortar on the chimney and I finally got around to getting a better inspection. I saw the Angie's List special and the great reviews. For another $1400, I got a new liner installed with a lifetime guarantee and the mortar on the chimney patched up. I should be good for another 30 years.

It looks nice. They were extremely helpful and they were very, very nice. Their suggestion saved me money.

I believe that the big deal from Wells & Sons Chimney Service worked well. They came in, they swept the chimney and they left. They wanted to request further services. I just was not comfortable with that at that time. I am not sure if I will use this service in the future.

My only minor complaint is that I had to follow up with them regarding the estimate – they didn’t call me as I expected. Overall, it was good. I was very happy. They were very professional and put down drop clothes. They came when they said they would and they were very thorough. There were no additional fees associated with the Big Deal which was a phenomenal price.

It was good. They were wonderful. They were professional, showed up on time, and were very helpful. They even took care of a clogged gutter. They also called to follow up on some things that we had discussed. They weren’t pressuring, but were very thorough.

Wells and Sons were prompt and professional from the beginning. The inspection and cleaning went without complications, and we contracted with them to install two stainless steel chimney caps. They were ready and willing to do the work immediately upon receiving our deposit, but due to ice and snow on the roof and in our yard, they were unable to install the first two times they came. The work was finally done when the weather got better in about an hour. Highly recommend.

We lost power in the winter ice storm for 6 days! We have a wood-burning fireplace but have never used it. Getting the chimney swept and inspected is the first step toward installing a gas insert that we can use as a heat source should we lose power in another storm for an extended length of time. Wells and Sons cleaned and inspected our chimney and made recommendations for what needs to be done should we want to burn wood, or install the gas insert. They also sell and install the inserts so we are looking forward to their estimate. They communicated each step of the way and were very punctual. We are looking forward to working with them in the future.

They brought in all kinds of floor protection and did a great job of cleaning up after themselves. They have the most up to date technology and offer top quality repair work. They tredged through 9 inches of snow to get to the chimney and used a camera to check the liner. Both gentleman were very friendly.

The guys are great every time we have service performed. Office is extremely pleasant, the techs show up on time and always have a very happy demeanor. The come in, do their thing with no fuss, no mess and no disturbance. They are just great to work with!

Instead of a general advice to rebuild the chimney or add a liner (projects worth thousands of dollars), he actually analysed the problem and by a simple and totally unexpected solution solved the problem for a tiny fraction of the other proposals. It is a pleasure to meet a contractor that actually thinks before he works instead of charging ridicuous amounts without fixing the problem. Highly recommended!!!!

After PECO found out that we had a problem with draft of our water heater flue, Wells quoted the fix of the problem with reline of the chimney for close to $3,000. Another contractor solved the problem by another solution that cost us less 10% of Wells quote. They clearly wanted to do money on our back by quoting unneeded work. Don't appreciate this attitude and would never use them.

Came promptly on the date and time as scheduled. Spread tarp in front of fireplace, cleaned fireplace flu liner with a rotating wire brush and vacuumed up all dirt/dust. Climbed on roof to inspect chimney top and flashing around chimney. Left the work area in good and clean condition.
