Description of Work: We received an estimate from Arborel to trim trees. We accepted their proposal. They did not give a firm date to do the job. We telephoned in September when we had not heard from them. We did not get a return call from them. In January 2015 we received an email from Arborel stating they would like to do more work for us. It was a form type of email as they had not done any work for us. We replied to their email with the date we had accepted their proposal, the quote number and asked if they intended to do the work. Again there wasn't response. If you have a small job do not waste your time and effort contacting Arborel. Apparently they are too busy to conduct business in a professional and polite manner.

Description of Work: We received an estimate from Arborel for several bushes and hedges that we want removed from around our house. We have decided to wait a short time to have the work done since we want to put some extra money aside for it, but as soon as we're ready we will be going with Arborel. They were the most professional of all the companies we met with for estimates, and Rob was very personable and knowledgeable. They seem to have a very smoothly run back-office operation, which very much helps to keep things moving. Arborel's estimate was only slightly higher than the others I received, but I'm still planning to go with them just because I felt the most comfortable with their company.

Description of Work: We received an estimate from Davey for several bushes and hedges we want removed from around our house. Even though we had to wait a little longer than I was hoping to have them visit since they're only in our area at certain times, it wasn't that huge of a deal and they arrived right on time that day. They provided a written estimate before they'd event left, which was great. We decided to put off the work until we can save some extra money, but I would still consider Davey in the future.

Description of Work: We have 2 very large maple trees in our front yard that Arborel trimmed. We mostly wanted any dead branches gone, and 2 large branches hanging over our house removed. They showed up on the minute for the estimate, and it was much less than other estimates we received. They also showed up on the minute for the work that was scheduled to be done. The 2 guys that came were friendly and professional. It took around 6-7 hours to complete the work, and when they left the yard was cleaner than it was when they came. We expected the trees to look a little less pretty after they left simply because that's been our experience with tree trimming, but the trees look great and far exceeded our expectations! We were very happy with our experience, and would definitely use Arborel again if needed.

Description of Work: They treated 15 large oak trees for Gypsy Moth caterpillars . Systemic insecticide was injected into the root zones of the trees.

Description of Work: Nice person that showed up on time and provided a detailed written quote. I had him stop by after a microburst hit our neighjborhood and a branch had fallen halfway down.it was one branch, not that big and he wanted $475, that price was too much and not worth the 20 min it would have taken him to complete the job. He stated that just for him to pull up to my house was $475 before doing any work, that seemed unreasonable. If you want a professional on time contractor this is your company but you will pay more then you expect.

Description of Work: Removed a very large silver maple lead (24 in diameter, approx. 40 ft tall), removed a Norway Maple lead (10 in diameter, approx. 40 ft tall), removed 3 spruce trees (approx. 45 ft tall) and grind out stumps and also grind a large stump from the front yard in one day. The crew did excellent and professional work and completely removed all brush, debris and logs and completely cleaned the site. I would recommend Arborel Tree very highly.

Description of Work: Arborel Tree Service took down two Ash trees that were infected with Emerald Ash Borers. Trees were quite large; about 125 foot tall and 4 feet in diameter at their bases. They had to take them down by climbing up and took them down limb by limb to avoid the neighbors swimming pool and trampoline and their adjacent trees. They did a great job including the stump removal and clean up! Their price to do the work was the least of three estimates and gave me an Angies List coupon discount of $50.

Description of Work: I contacted Arborel on a Thursday afternoon. I left a message and my call was returned within an hour. I scheduled an appointment for an estimate for the following Monday. Rob showed for the appointment right on time. He was very friendly and very professional. The estimate provided was right in line with others we recieved. We choose to use a different company based soley on scheduling conflicts. I would definitley use Arborel in the future.

Description of Work: A spruce tree and a maple had grown to shade my vegetable garden. I wanted the new growth cut back to provide sunlight for my veggies. Although they tried to dissuade me from doing what I know is a professional "no-no" (topping a spruce tree), I had them do it anyway! I valued the garden more than the appearance of the tree. (It really looks OK now :-) )
