The edging and mulching were ok. The lawn restoration was not. Scott told me that the ares to be restored would be roughed up and a mixture of soil and manure with seed would be applied. The supervisor on the job said the ground was too hard to rough up and to just keep it watered and the grass would grow. He told me to call Scott if there were any issues and they would come out and repair it. Some grass did grow but never filled in and did not root properly. I watered it twice a day. I called Scott three times to get this resolved. He never returned my calls. I will never use this firm again.
Description of Work: I contracted this company to edge my landscaping, mulch the landscape beds, and do some minor lawn restoration.

When I initially spoke to Scott I explained that we had service contractors do work in our home and did not do a profressional job. I wanted the work done in a neat, professional manner and I didn't want to have to go behind him and cleanup the mess that was left. We talked in detail about the lack of quality work I had experienced on other jobs. Scott guaranteed me that the job would be neat and professional, He would see to that. He told me he was the owner and would power wash my deck himself (he did not). He stated that he hired college kids to do the painting but would come by regularly to check on their work (he did not) and there would be NO MESS and no cleanup for me to do. It did take about 3 weeks for the work to be completed but that was due to rainy weather. We were away on vacation when the work was finished. When I came home I truly was shocked at what i saw. There was tape residue on my siding because the tape had been on the house, in the heat for so long. There were paint drips on the decorative brick wall below the deck. There were areas of the deck spindles and steps that were not painted at all. Only the tops of the floorboards had paint on them so you saw bare wood on the side of each board when you looked at the floor. The support beams below the deck were painted in spots. When I contacted Scott he explained that Mexicans got paid better than I was paying him and that his people did a good job! I told him that He gave me his price and it was not the lowest estimate I received and the job was not complete so he needed to look again if he expected to receive the balance of his payment. He came two days later to look and explained that he had lost a close friend in death and had not checked on the job and discounted to price by $180.00 dollars so i could have someone else complete it. Long story short, there are still paint drips on the bricks that must be removed and the planter box was filled in with concrete so I will eventually have to have that corrected since it is very uneven. And so here I am!
Description of Work: Pressure wash deck. Stain deck by hand. Tape off house. Fill in planter box with concrete. Clean up of all work areas. (this is exactly what was written on contract)
