Consolidated Communications

Have had internet service from Consolidated for five years and it has worked great. Now it works sometimes. I called and they sent a technician out to check my modem. Technician says it is good. Consolidated seems to think that rebooting the modem more than once a day is acceptable. I say it is not. They seem to have no intention of fixing this problem. It was good while it lasted.

They are very professional. They are respectful. They have great customer service. I think the people that help you when you call in are wonderful; I think they try hard. The three years I’ve been with them, twice when I’ve had to get new cable boxes, you lose everything you have programmed in on there. One time they were supposed to be there in the morning, they didn't get there till 5 PM and they were here till 10 PM.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences i have ever had. I constantly had trouble with either cable or internet. The call-in customer service was incompetent. The employees who answer the phone and provide customer service by phone are not trained well. They would have me running all over the house checking wires, unplugging wires, replugging wires, or doing some other technical service. Then, two times, when they couldn't figure out what was wrong, they told me that I had to drive to the Consolidated office and get a new modem. Both times that I did that, even getting a new modem did not solve the problem and a service man had to come to my house to resolve the problem. Most times they would use technical terms that I did not even understand. I called Consolidated for service problems more times in 10 months than I called Comcast (from my previous home) in 10 years. I wasted many hours on the phone with their inept customer service people. I do have to say that the service man who came to my house a couple times was very good. But, the phone customer service people were terrible.

I'm not even going to bother reporting these most recent problems. It's just not worth the stress and hassle.

They have better price than any options I got. The internet service is reasonable. The cable service is decent. I've called them before and they never called me back. I have put in service order and I never got it.

We use the fastest connection they provide which is 20 megabytes per second. That is the best they can provide. Reasonably, it's doing well but not always. Sometimes, for some reason, it's not always what they promised. We use the most basic landline features. We don't lose connection.

I wish they didnt have a monopoly for my area but they offer great dsl at a decent price.

I have had my phone service with them for the last 20 years. I am happy with their service and I will continue to use them.

We have used them for 41 years and are happy with their service. I have not had any problems.
