Bruno Morelli Contractor

Pete and his crew initially started our project of concrete around the pool with retaining wall and patio concrete slab 9/2021. Few issues that arose no fault of Pete, was the slide dimension and walkway needed to clear the solar cover was inaccurate and not enough concrete was poured for both of them. That was the fault of the pool company for giving inaccurate measurements to Pete. Pete stated he would correct this problem and add more concrete so the slide could be anchored onto the concrete and add more concrete to allow a walkway on the side of the pool. Another issue that Pete was notified right away was the retaining wall was not high enough and runoff/rain water was flowing over the top of the retaining wall and through the retaining wall causing muddy water to encroach into the pool area. He initially stated that once landscaping was complete it would fix this. However that was not the case. He was again notified and he promised to raise the retaining wall to correct this problem, yet he never showed up and continued to ignore our calls. Third issue was the concrete lining the pool already started to crack off and was found at the bottom of the pool. Fourth issue was the top blocks of the retaining wall were damaged. Several portions of the retaining wall were carved into and did not appear to be brand new. He promised he would replace these with new. Yet, he never showed back up. Fifth issue, the concrete patio cracked within several months. Sixth issue, the additional concrete was never sealed and is also now cracked. To attempt to correct the the first issue, He staked the project out 10/12/21 completed around 10/25/21. His crew was using a stamp for the concrete and the stamp for the new concrete was off-centered causing the concrete to be noticeably abnormal. When he was notified of this eyesore, he actually stated he realized this mistake… didn’t feel the need to tell us though. He promised us he would correct this by removing the concrete and pouring new. He would tell us on a weekly basis that he was coming to correct this problem and then he would never show up. We would call him and text him and he wouldn’t answer or reply. We have all encounters documented for proof. December 2021 came around and he stated due to poor weather conditions, we would be the first customer of 2022 and that we were “on the books!” Spring 2022 came around and he would continue to lead us on and telling us that he will be there on specific days and then again he wouldn’t answer his phone or texts. He kept ghosting us and texting us what we wanted to hear… it is now 1 year later and it’s still not fixed. He continues to screen our phone calls and rarely answers. Due to this delay, we were unable to complete this project until all these issues are corrected. We are awaiting to complete landscaping and install fend around property until this has been corrected. We would highly suggest thinking twice before you agree to have this company perform work at your house. We are shocked by their unprofessionalism, lack of respect and lack of pride in their work. Their slogan is that they stand behind their work; however clearly this is not true. Hopefully, I am able to post photos to prove the extent of our situation.

You should never consider another concrete company! This guy is the best. The concrete work is the best in Pittsburgh area. Work was done timely with a professional crew. This was my second house where his company did concrete work for me. You can get all the bids you want but his quality and workmanship is a cut above. Bruno, (the owner), explains everything and does exactly what he says he will do. In my opinion he is "A cut above".

The job went fantastic! Can’t say enough positive things about Pete and his crew. They arrived on time daily and were professional through the entire job. This is a company I actually enjoyed to write the check! Highly recommend!

Bruno Morelli Concrete did a wonderful job replacing our driveway. They were prompt, professional, thorough and very knowledgeable. We needed 85 yds of concrete, as we have a very large driveway. Morelli Concrete is a fantastic company to work with. They offered suggestions to make the project even. We had to match concrete at multiple levels with door ways and they did a great job. Offering simple solutions to make everything flow. Their price was fantastic and the 40 plus years of being in business gave us the comfort of working with a true professional company. , I expected a little delay in response times because we were working g with them in the late spring/early summer but they were quick to respond and answer questions.

The job went great , all of the concrete work provided turned out beautiful. The crew was professional, on time , and there were no hidden expenses when payment was due.

The design was nice, but the sidewalk all around the back of my house was not excavated properly. It was raised almost 1 foot above the ground. Also, the driveway was not sealed properly. When I brought this to Pete's attention, he said he would reseal the driveway and sidewalk and look at the raised sidewalk. It has now been almost 2 years (May 2019) and nothing has been done. Pete has continually made promises, and nothing has been done. Very disappointed. Would not recommend. Their tagline that they always stand behind their work means nothing, because they don't.

So pleased with the beautiful work Morelli did on our driveway and patio. Contacted three contractors for quotes and Morelli was the only one that showed up. Not only did they show up, but they were reasonably priced and they did everything they said they were going to do. The crew worked so hard and very meticulously and it shows in the work they did for us. We have had many compliments from neighbors and people passing by remarking on how amazing our driveway looks. We would not hesitate to use Morelli's services in the future and we would not hesitate to recommend them to others.

We highly recommend Morelli Concrete. Pete was professional and he and his hard working crew finished our job in 3 days! The price was more than reasonable for such a big job: new garage floor and driveway, as well as a complete makeover with a new patio and walkway entrance. What a transformation!! Pete was and is always available when I text him with questions, even after the job was complete. So glad we hired Morelli!!

Overall we were happy with the work except for they buried an electric wire that we discussed previously to leave out and a month later we started noticing cracks and we contacted the contractor.

Great! I love my new driveway. It was done just the way it should have been. I am very pleased with their premium workmanship.

It went great. Bruno and his crew came bright and early the morning that was scheduled, tore out the awful steps a previous contractor put in, built the frame, poured the concrete and had the new steps looking perfect, all in one day. Bruno is very professional, nice and knowledgeable. The steps look great and we couldn't be happier.

The work was done professionally and very good quality.

We are very happy with out newly finished areas. We chose the exposed aggregate look and it is wonderful!

Entire process was exceptional. Did a combination of regular brush finish and some stamped concrete. Communication was excellent, team was professional, pricing was very reasonable compared to the other quotes we got, etc. Only issue (minor) was some of the saw cuts in the stamp work had lots of chip marks due to using a brand new blade on the concrete saw. A little disappointing there but fairly minor overall. I’d definitely hire Bruno, Pete and their team again.

Very quick to respond and give a bid, expected start in 3 weeks and called after 2 1/2 weeks to start work. Arrived slightly earlier than 7:30 a.m. got set up and his son and team worked fast with Bruno overseeing every aspect of the job, they finished exactly as expected. They were very professional , courteous and efficient that comes from a lot of experience.

Quite well. Bruno came to house to prepare estimate. They had us select stamp pattern, and color. Once they were ready to start, I was told they would be there at 7:30 the next morning, and 7 workers and 3 trucks showed up exactly at that time, and the next day at the same time. Work was completed within 4 days, and looks great.

I don't know how it would of went because we parted ways due to their unprofessional responses and not being able to set a date to do my work after over a month of me having signed a contract. The best I got was 10 day window and being told that I would be notified a day before they were going to do the work. That was not acceptable to me considering my husband or I would need to take the day off and can not do that without ample notice. Not to mention we start off with a sloppy contract were they had my last name wrong. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone that is looking to have something done in a timely manner. If you have time to wait and to be told at a moment's notice, then you should be fine. After several email correspondences they had the nerve to say that I was treating them poorly because I wanted to know when this work would be done. Whomever was emailing me, and I say whomever because there was never a name or a company signature added, again highly unprofessional for a business that is asking me to pay them $11,000. I work with contractors on a daily basis and none of them are as unprofessional as these people. They also said that since I was giving them a hard time now that they could only imagine how I would be if they did the work. That is another red flag to me because it seems like you are not confident in your work that you already think that I would have an issue with the outcome. My only issue was their responsiveness to my numerous emails requesting a date so that I could schedule the day off. Maybe it is just me, but I did not think that that was too much to ask. I have now lost 6 weeks when I could have had another contract have this project done by now.

Once the time for the work was set, everything went smoothly and the work was completed and looks amazing.

We had Bruno Morelli Contracting recently do a large concrete driveway and aggregate patio for us. He was always available to answer any questions and did a great job at explaining everything to us. They were prompt, courteous and very professional. Their slogan is “we stand behind our work” and they truly lived up to it. One day after part of the driveway was poured I pulled in and did not like that looks of how the recently poured piece was sloping. I called Bruno and he was there first thing in the morning. Without any arguing he immediately tore up the recently poured piece and replaced it that day. I’m sure this was a significant additional cost to him but he did it without reservation or extra cost to me. He also insists that you will be happy with his work and does not require any payment until all of the work is complete. I have recently worked with several contractors and would say that there are very few contractors that are as high of quality as Bruno. I would gladly have him do more work for me and recommend him without any reservations to anyone who needs to have concrete work done.
