This contractor has done a foundation repair job for me in the past and it was done professionally and at a reasonable cost. Just recently, they did a waterproofing job for a basement wall containing a window. He did the following: Extend the window well by 8", Hand-dig dirt 12' x 10' to slope away from foundation wall, Install reinforced rubber roofing against the wall, Add layer of washed gravel to entire section near the wall as well as 4' area around the corner to draw the water away. Originally, the job was supposed to cost $2,400 but after doing it I was notified by Dan Miller, one of the principals, that because the dirt was a lot softer and took half the time than he anticipated it would be $600 less! This company is efficient, effective and HONEST!

They are a very professional crew and worked well with the mechanical engineer and code enforcement. Dan Miller was very responsive and answered my concerns even after business hours. The company went beyond the scope of the work estimate bc they dug out 2' more than was planned bc of the clay that they found at that level and they packed in proper ground instead which they did not charge me extra for. The only disappointment I had was that they disturbed part of the (admittedly, in poor condition) driveway/parking area and did not restore it so that it was exposed to dirt or mud when it would rain. I had to put a temporary patch on that until I have the whole parking area redone. All in all, they are a very reliable and professional company.
Description of Work: Replaced a 25' long and 7' high foundation wall that was compromised by settling over unsuitable ground (clay) beneath it and had deteriorated because of water penetration and freezer thaw. They poured new concrete footers in that area consisting of 3' wide 8" thick with 4 #5 rebar side by side with cross bars. The foundation consisted of 10" block wall with rebar reinforcement. They waterproofed the wall and added a drain tile which ran toward the front and was dug deep down. They replaced the old window in the wall with a new one - 24" x 32". In the interior they poured a new floor to match up to existing concrete and put floor supports back in. They built up extra concrete in the basement toward existing chimney. They also jacked up the side of a sloping porch and added new footer pad under it.

Work was done in a very timely fashion. Dan took the time to cover flooring to prevent damage (after laid) cleaned up after work each day. Cost came in under budget and he went beyond what was "required" of him. He showed up when he said he was coming and worked full days.
Description of Work: Company helped me remodel a premade building into a dog grooming shop.
