Description of Work: I used Briggs Auction INC. I'm an attorney and I use them in cases.

Description of Work: It was an awful experience. we spoke to Mr. Turner as well as two of his associates and they told us to "only bring the best items" to the sale. On that note, we packed carefully 20 boxes of antiques that we felt sure would do well at the auction and the Briggs web site assured us that ' they would try and get the best price for the seller" on that note we were excited to see what all our hard work would bring. Must to our horror, we discovered that except for a few items, all the items in the auction were sold as junk. Many of the lots were things that looked like they were worth little but as the evening worn on, all items were treated the same. the auction started at 5 p,m and by 10 p.m in what was a stifling hot building lots were being sold with very little regard. My husband pulled what items of ours that were not auctioned yet. Thank God he did, for we received so little for our items, especially my mother's furniture that some items were sold for ONE dollar. Can you imagine her feelings when the furniture she cared for all those years, she is 90 years old, went for one dollar. The rest of the items didn't fare must better. I feel that we should have been treated better as sellers, and as people. One of the items was broken by a person at the auction and when I complained I was told" they didn't have time for me" and "so what". I can't tell you the toll this has taken on my Mom. We didn't expect all the items to bring much but ONE dollar for a Hutch in very good condition is wrong.
