They did not want to be responsible for the new glass so I had to pick up the new glass at the vendor who ordered it for me. This was not a major inconvenience for me but I wanted to mention it here. . The OEM supplied the replacement glass under warranty Two technicians came to the house on time and were very professional. They setup the job site being concerned about tracking in snow and mud into the house. After they removed the original glass they discovered that the frame had settled after construction (14 years). This presented a problem installing the new glass. They were successful installing the new glass and suggested I contact the window manufacturer rep if the new glass failed after a couple of seasonal cycles. The techs were very courteous and worked carefully without rushing through the job. They did not use the window manufacturers tape that came with the new window stating in their experience their caulking procedure would hold up better over time. They cleaned up the site, cleaned the glass completely inside and out. They even wiped down the hardwood floor in the entrance way. They hauled away the old glass which broke during removal and they took away the packing materials from the new glass. . I hire contractors quite a bit as part of my job function and I was impressed by their patience and professionalism. Two contractors never called me back to quote on the project . One of them was refered by a friend who he said was an experienced installer. I was told by my friend that the quote would have been about $400 for this job. I called several window replacement installers and all that responded would only replace the window if I bought the window from them. Kunsman had no problem doing this job.

From quote to completion, process was good to excellent.

The price was reasonable, they came as scheduled, they worked well with my insurance company. The work was done in a few days with no issues. They made minor changes to my initial requests with no issues. I would hire them again.

Al Kunsman came out himself to do the estimate. He listened to what I wanted done and got an estimate back to me quickly. It was not the absolute lowest, but it was clear he knew what I wanted done and how to do it. Multiple crews were sent out on the job, a roofing crew, a siding crew, and a gutter crew. They were all very pleasant and worked extremely efficiently. My wife referred to it as an assembly line style. This is a ranch house with lots of roof area and they had all work completed in two days! That included tearing off roof, removing old gutters and aluminum capping on fascia, repairing damaged wood, removing all aluminum covering the soffit, venting the soffit, installing new shingles on the roof, recovering the soffit, re-capping the fascia, installing new gutters, and even capping some bare wood around the garage doors. After work was completed they cleaned up pretty well and you didn't even know they were there. All landscaping around the house was undisturbed. The house looks like new and has more "curb appeal" than ever! I would highly recommend their work!

I was able to make contact with the company via e-mail. Shortly afterwards I received a confirmation call from Mr Kunsman that I was on their schedule. A few days later the repair was made.

Company can be extremely responsive but also occasionally can ignore contact efforts. Much of our gutter work was sub-contracted out but was performed well. Overall Kunsman is an old, established company which will do good work (eventually). We had our roof shingles replaced a few years ago by Kunsman and this major work was done perfectly. It was performed timely, quickly and very professionally.

Very responsive to request for estimate of work needing to be done. The work was performed by a group of at least 6 guys, got done very efficiently and quickly. Gutters look great, function properly, roof work looks good as well. Overall very satisfied with price quote & work completed. Would use again.

Hurricane Sandy ripped off shingles on one side of my roof. We had no power or phone service after Sandy went thru so I drove down to there facility. They had no phone service either. This was a Thursday morning. Friday morning two men showed up and repaired my roof. I suspect the promptness was due to the fact that most people waited until their phone and power was restored. I had them replace my entire roof about 16 years ago and was quite happy with their work. That is why I went back to them. The workers also told me that my whole roof was in pretty good shape yet which they didn't have to do. I would use their service again and recommend them.

The work was well done. The workmen were most considerate as well as careful of the architecture, the grounds and us. We would highly recommend this company.

Within 2 days of my phone call they showed up and did the job in 3-4 hrs. Their response was quick and good. Again very satisfied. Note: they supplement their own employees with outside subcontractor teams on occasion, but since these subcontractors are screened by Kunsman and backed by them, I have no issues with the practice.

Went very smoothly. Unlike other roofers I've used, I didn't have to deal with picking up hundreds of roofing nails after the job. Workers were diligent and very polite. If you're planning to have a ridge venting system installed, I'd recommend covering your attic doorway to reduce the dust and debris from falling on you when you open the door the first time.

I spoke to their representative, Jeremy, who was courteous and friendly. He came to my house to see the job site. However, more than a week passed and no one called me about scheduling the work so I had to call them. He was apologetic and said it was an oversight. I booked the job and two guys came out on time and they were nice and completed the job quickly. I thought the price was a bit steep for installation of do-it-yourself gutter guards but since other companies wouldn't even do the job (including one I found on Angie's List) and I was having water damage issues, I booked it. I would use them again.

Contacted this company for an estimate and received a phone call a week later that an estimator would be contacting us. After onemonth still waiting for contact by the estimator. Needless to say not going to use this company.

The people were really professional. They were on time and courteous. They were a little bit on the expensive side though.

It was brutally hot and they came early each morning and worked until it was 95 degrees!

They got it done quickly. It was done right, and it looks good.

I didn’t like them. I kept requesting that they come for an estimate but they didn’t come. It was during a very busy time, which I understood, but they didn’t call me back. Finally, the owner came out and I thought he was going to bid our gutters plus the interior work where the roof had been leaking but he knew nothing about the masonry work and said he never received any messages. He thought his guy was already out here and he way overcharged the bid for the gutters so we didn’t use their services. I wasn’t impressed. He did come when he said. I wouldn’t consider using their services in the future.

Called for an estimate and they competed well against 2 other firms in the area.They gave me th choices of the products to use and explained the differences and price points. We discussed the chimney repairs at length so I understood the products and process As requested they called before the work started for a schedule and were puntual and professional in their work Very pleased

They are very punctual and clean. They are expensive. They come out and don't squabble over the price. They did very good work. I had no problems with them or their work. They did what they said they would do. I was satisfied.

Crazy weather in late summer and fall of 2011 revealed roofing issues on a couple of rental properties I own. I called Alan, who I have used before. He was swamped, but did come and survey the issue when promised. Detailed estimate showed up within a week. Once I approved the work, it was completed within two weeks. A very quick turnaround in the circumstances. One roof was still not 100% and Alan's team came back out and performed additional work to correct it at no additional charge. In another case, fallen tree damage to a roof and siding required coordinating the work with an electrician. Again, Alan and his team took care of the issues in two stages and charged less than the original estimate because not as much work was required than originally thought.

They did a good job. They were reasonably priced. I may have them do some roofing work for me this summer.

Alan Kunsman performed several services over a period of six months. They provided an estimate for replacing old cedar siding (which was in need of replacement) on our home; proposal was competitive (lower) with other Angie's contractors, and with quicker completion date. Job was done to my satisfaction and professionally and in a time framework according to my needs. Last summer we had a leak problem in one area of our roof with no obvious explanation. It was during a time of heavy rains. Roof is about 15 years old. They came out quickly after being requested (day or so), and inspected roof in leakage area, found some issues and corrected, and tested for leaks as best they could using local garden hose. A week or two later it rained and leak returned; upon call a serviceman arrived during the downpour and went up on the roof. discovered additional causes of the leak; after the rainfall Kunsman made repairs (at no charge except materials) and the roof has not leaked since. I am satisfied both with the quality and responsiveness of Kunsman's work and would not hesitate at using them again.
