I had to use another company because of time restraints, but based on their response I would consider them for any future work.

I highly recommend them and I had used them before for replacing a roof. Their prices and services were good both the times I used them. They were excellent.

Alan Kunsman took down and rebuilt my chimney. the crew was clean, punctual and polite. when they were finished they was no trace they had ever been there except for a beautiful new chimney!

They cleaned the roof and gutters, removed and disposed of old gutter guards,installed replacement gutter guards and enclosed a plywood sided cupola(in need of a paint job) with white aluminum siding. The replacement and cupolas jobs went very well, as expected. |They rescheduled the start of the job three times upsetting our schedule, |the first time without forewarning and they seriously damaged the 50 year old dogwood tree that guarded the entrance to the house.

Service was excellent. We were very satisfied with the work that was performed.

That was good, they did a nice job. I was not there when the did the work. I talked to my daughter and she said they did a great job. She didn't have any negatives about them.

showed up as scheduled; 2 guys in 1 truck did everything; cleaned up each of 8 days; removed old siding, applied new insulating board + wrap, then new vinyl; worked their way around the house. they were respectful and courteous of our needs and suggested options that might look or work better. completely changed the appearance of the house; could not have worked out better. highly recommended.

The secretary there responded quickly to see if we had suffered damage in Sandy and needed immediate help. Good! We had not suffered storm damage and I suggested we could wait if they needed to help other storm victims. End of December, Jeremy left a voice message for me on my office phone. We then played phone tag and finally connected in the latter half of Jan 2013. He said he would get back to me shortly and come out to take a look and prepare an estimate. Six weeks or so pass and I hear nothing. Finally I call him and he apologizes for being slow. He finally comes out to see the roof and windows. He makes clear that our roof needs replacing, which did not surprise me. He focused heavily on trying to sell us Harvey replacement windows. I repeatedly made clear that the roof was leaking and that was the HIGHEST priority. After measuring and going up on the roof, he left, telling us he'd send an estimate shortly. Well, now more than 8 months after our original request, we have yet to hear anything. In addition, no one showed up EVER to look at the gutters or the masonry work, even though Jeremy told me someone would. We got no estimate and, consequently, they got no business. They came highly recommended and we were predisposed to have them do the work. Not now, however, and never in future. Jeremy seemed uninterested in our job and tried the hard sell on the windows, which surprised me.

Alan Kunsman was the only contractor to submit a bid. I called 4 other masonry firms, but none submitted bids after they saw the chimney. (Guess the sight of my "risky" chimney scared most of them off.) It was fortuitous that I contracted with Alan Kunsman masonry services to do the work because in the end, they did very fine work. The crew fixed the leaky chimney and the leaky roof problem that I struggled with for 4 years. There have been heavy rains since the rebuild, and no leaks have been detected! To rebuild the "risky" chimney, the crew had to carry all materials - bricks, mortar, scaffolding, wooden planks, etc. - down 2 flights of narrow outside stairs, then erect the scaffolding 60ft into the air to build the working platform. They never complained! (Hats off to the guys!) The rebuild took 3 days. They removed the deteriorating brick that was probably taking on water for decades and replaced it with new brick and mortar. Reframed the chimney, flashed the exterior in copper, installed a new chimney cap, and waterproofed the brick. The crew also checked (per direction from Mark) to make sure that the chimney liner that another contractor had installed 3 years prior did indeed extend all the way down the chimney. Mark explained that some contractors will rip-off and only install a few sections near the top. Luckily, that was not the case here. I appreciated they checked! While they were on the roof, the crew also checked the condition of the cupola roof and gave me some peace of mind there. Appreciated that too! The crew cleaned up everyday. They were courteous and friendly. I am more than satisfied with the results, and very satisfied I chose Alan Kunsman for this repair. The chimney that extends above the roofline was constructed to compliment the Victorian house for which it functions. It is so much nicer than the original. The crew did a beautiful job here. The price I paid was the price quoted. I will definitely use Alan Kunsman's masonry services in the future!

All of the work they have done has been excellent. Their prices are very fair and they are very responsive. I have an annual maintenance contract with them on two of my houses. They call ahead of time. They do come whenever they say they are going to come; so it’s great. It is ongoing and I plan on continuing to use them.

He is big in this area and he has pretty good reputation. He is very competent and responsive and his prices are fair. People usually wind up with a good experience. We have had them out a couple of times they are good for people and give a good outfit call. It is a fairly good sized company so he has got several crews and Alan himself is a real customer oriented guy. We don’t hesitate to recommend him and they also do work on our church. They do good work for reasonable price. I remember that they don’t over charge.

My interaction with them was great. They were there when they were supposed to be. They were courteous and timely with everything. They maybe a little bit more expensive, but they were good.

Job went well and was done in a day.

They came it took 2 days to finish the shingles....then they came a week later when it was above 50 and did the rubber roof part.

I have been using them for years. They are good quality people. They know what they are doing, and they do a really good quality job. It is an excellent company. They are very, very busy so you also have to be patient with them.

My experience with them was good. They did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it.

We went with another company who provided the first estimate to us. They were prompt and responsive to our request.

A man from Kunsman came out about 10 days after I called and repaired the roof damage. A single shingle needed to be replaced and he was at the house for ~30-40 minutes. When I got the bill I was shocked to find that they were billing me $300 for less than one hours work. I wrote back and told thjem that $300 was a ridiculous price. About 2 weeks later I received a modified bill for $200. At that point I decided I had had enough and paid the $200 bill but with a note of protest. Very disappointed in Kunsman trying to take advantage of the storm situation. BTW there was no mention of extra high rates to respond to storm issues when I called.
