Honestly, I don't remember how long ago our roof was replaced, but we were very happy both with the work and the price. A young lady was always going around the ground in the work area with a long handled magnet to pick up any fallen nails. We didn't find any after the job completion. They cleaned up after themselves and a quality job was done. If we need anyone in the future, we had planned on calling them again. We had 2 estimates - both approximately the same price *can't remember how much, but not out of line*. We liked Mr. Kunsman and chose to have his company do the job. Our neighbor had someone else do their roof and we found a couple of nails in our tires. Not with Alan Kunsman.!! Unless something drastic has changed with his company, and I don't believe it has, you won't go wrong with him. I guessed at the date and cost. I only know that our roof is still in great condition and the price was not out of line.

Everything went smoothly. The place was cleaned up afterward.

The gutter repair was a simple job, so it was done quickly.

They were very thorough and did a great job. They kept things cleaner then I expected and it looks fantastic.

The two gentlemen who worked with us were very nice and communicated well. They found rotten wood under our siding by the electrical box and replaced it quickly/efficiently. We also decided to place new wall AC units in during this process. They helped us to make new boxes for the 2 AC units and then sided around them. They did a great job.

Quick, clean, professional. No issues after two winters. Appearance of work is excellent and no damage to shrubs, our house exterior.

I called for estimate on cement board siding vs vinyl siding and adding insulation on our 1040's Colonial Revival home. I gave them specific products to compare which we had already researched. He showed up with product samples and proceeded to try to sell me instead of listening to what we already knew about what we wanted. I asked about removing old cedar boards, installing rigid foam insulation and putting siding on top (as recommended on manufacturer's website.) He said that's too much work and they would just put new siding over old. He also said they could add Craftsman style trims and they don't have moldings as are currently on our house. But the house is a Colonial Revival and the trims are available according to manufacturer's websites. I explained what we wanted. He measured the house and said he would get back to me with estimates. Never heard from him again. He wanted to do it his way only even though manufacturers' websites recommended process of insulation installation we discussed. (Note: not sure of exact date this occurred but it was in 2014.)

They did my roof years ago, so I trusted them when I needed other work done. I had a minor problem with a leak in one area & they have responded promptly

I found them through Angie's List. The work ethic was outstanding. They came and did the job efficiently. They didn't waste any time. They cleaned up after themselves. It was very professionally done. They were very nice to talk to. If we had any concerns, they answered our questions. They were excellent to work with. Overall, they're an A+. I would absolutely use them in the future.

iWent very well, arrived very early and got right to work. Moved anything that might get broken. Roof and deck done in one day, and all cleaned up. Next day gutters and downspouts were done, very efficent, and great job. Part of lawn got a little torn up when huge truck delivered roofing material, but before they left for the day, it was all repaired. They got soil, grass seed, and laid down straw, turned out ok!!

After 4 incorrect proposals, the estimator came to our house to ensure the estimate was correct. We gave him a 500.00 deposit to complete the work. We did not hear from this company and finally called them 3 weeks later. They called the next day and said they could do the two roofs, however, the slate and gutters would be completed in the near future. The quality of the work for the roofs they worked on we were not pleased with. We cancelled the remaining work to be completed. This consisted of the gutters and slate work. Another 3 weeks have gone by with no call. We never even received a phone call estimating the time they could complete the job. We would have been satisfied with that. We purposely were patient with this company because of the reputation this company has for slate work. We told them this and they promised we would not be disappointed. This company needs to improve their internal network of communication. I did not see a sense of urgency or drive to complete a job that would have provided revenue of over 5,000.00.

I can't express what a pleasure it was to do business with Kunsman Roofing! I had been trying in vain for several weeks to get my roof repaired. Either contractors did not call back or would make an appointment and not show up. Kunsman was different! They called me back promptly. Gave me an estimate within days and came to repair my roof almost immediately. I couldn't ask for a more professional contractor. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Fine. I assume the quality is excellent, but I'm not qualified to say for sure and haven't been up on a ladder to check the work ;-)

I had new gutters and roof installed 5 years ago for an insurance claim. Unfortunately the workmanship of the gutters was terrible. There was a gap between the flashing and the drip edge causing water to get behind and rot the wood. Also, the gutters were only secured every 4 feet. Additionally, because of the design of my house the front porch has a part of the roof that is not supported and it was sagging, which caused a huge ice accumulation last winter and pushed it down even more. I checked Angie's List for several contractors with good reviews and received quotes. Kunsman's price was far better than the other quotes, in fact it was less than half of the most expensive one. The contractor who did the work finished everything in an afternoon. This included custom making a support beam for the front porch, custom cutting the flashing/fascia, reinstalling the gutters with correct numbers of brackets, installing new corners, and replacing one of the boards underneath that was rotted. I was extremely impressed with how conscientious the contractor was about the quality of work he and his crew did. He made sure that I was happy about everything they did. I felt that I got a great price and they did an exceptionally good job. After having bad experiences with some contractors in the past, it was refreshing to feel good about it and not have a sinking feeling that I got ripped off. Additionally, the people at the office were very nice along with guy who gave the estimate and scheduled the job. It was a pleasure to work with them every step of the way, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Both estimate and job were done promptly and professionally. Jeremy was very helpful. Their office staff was as well. Their estimate was in line with others we received.

Overall, the job went smoothly. Communication could have been better but nothing that hindered the job. The guys did great quality work. They are very busy with all the business they get so scheduling can be lengthy but it's worth it. I'm planning on having them return to complete the rest of my home plus add a new roof.

They're punctual, professional, gave an accurate estimate and I've known them from other things they've done before.

I signed the contract to tear down the chimney and rebuild it in Nov 2013. Because I did that, they came over and installed a completmentary tarp on the chimney so that I could make interior painting repairs in time for the holidays. The tarp did the job and no further damage was sustained. As soon as the weather permitted in the spring of 2014, Kunsman called to let me know when they would be over to start. The three man crew was very neat--cleaned up everything in the basement that fell down from the demoliation. The completed the work in a timely manner and returned later to apply the waterproofing. The chimney looks great and I would definitely use this contractor again.

I contacted them for an estimate on 4/9 and received an email on 4/10 telling me that I would have an estimated contact me in 1 or 2 days. I email them 2 times over the next week to have them contact me to estimate my job. I received no response to either of my emails. I will be doing business with a company that actually wants business.
