They did a good job.

I had them replace a shingle and caulk my gutter which was leaking. They did an excellent job. They seem to be very personable, cooperative, and intelligent people to work with. The project was not drawn out, they got the work done and for a reasonable price.

Service rep didn't knock on front door to announce his presence. Instead, he approached house from back alley, found gate locked, and turned to leave. He identified himself only after being confronted by resident of house. Rep had no ladder, which was essential in creating estimate. He left.

A shingle had come off the roof and it needed to be fixed. AK came by to give an estimate. His office had given him the wrong address - good thing I was standing outside when he was driving around. His estimate was the cheapest, and I asked him to go ahead. He said it would be fixed next week, but in fact it was three weeks before it was. The person who fixed it was professional. Spotted some other defects in the roof, which I told him to go ahead and fix.

Great! They were out to complete an estimate within a 24 hours. They also submitted a written quote and completed the job the next week. Overall I was really pleased!

The crew did a good job, arriving in a timely fashion and working continuously except for a lunch break, and they did a decent job cleaning up after themselves once the job was complete. I give the crew an "A," and the person who did the estimating and scheduling a B-: he was very informative during the estimate, but he didn't call beforehand to make an appointment, he just showed up one day about 10 days after I'd initially called them. The estimate was reasonable (see above) for the materials used. I did have a couple of questions and points that were made orally in writing; he told me to put them on the signed confirmation letter, which I did. Scheduling was a bit of a problem. When I'd talked to the estimator, he'd told me that he was about to go off on vacation for a week. I sent my confirmation letter in during that week and then waited for nearly 3 weeks and didn't hear back from him. I finally called and reached him by phone (in a day & a half); he told me that crew workers were on vacation and that was the hold-up, but I really would have appreciated him letting me know that ahead of time rather than having to just sit there waiting without knowing. Once I actually talked to him, he sent a crew out 10 days later, and as I said, their work was quite satisfactory.

Removed the old slate roofs and an old rubber roof. The contract was signed in December and the job was started in January, due to weather conditions. The work took a total of 2 days. An additional expense was incurred due to the need for some plywood sheets where none were under the slates and some others that had rotted under other parts of the house. I had been advised of that possibility in advance by Mr. Kunsman and we had agreed on a price scale of between $500.00 and $1,000.00. When at the end of the job I was quoted the maximum amount, I balked a little, and Mr. Kunsman graciously settled for $800.00. The job was executed in a very timely and professional manner and the job site was kept clean at all times. I would recommend this company to absolutely anyone in need of a roof. Thanks Mr. Kunsman.

They arrive on time and get the job done, but their minimum to come to the house is $100. My only complaint was they charged their hourly rate for their driving time to my house--I've never heard of that before! For two guys, it was an extra $200 bucks! I called to ask if this was their normal procedure, and they said yes. For that reason, I will probably shop around next time for another company.
