Paige helped us and she went above and beyond helping us. She was very knowledgeable about the products. We went back a couple of weeks later and again she was helping us. She is a very pleasant person. More people should have her work ethics.

I found Home Depot to be more cost effective. When they installed the washer at my place they put the hot and cold water connection separate. When I had a problem with the washer I informed them though it was still under warranty but I had to make all the calls to get it fixed.
Description of Work: I bought the washer and dryer at The Home Depot.

Description of Work: In spite of warnings from my contractor, I placed a special order for floor tile for a bathroom remodel and was promised delivery within a week. True to the warning, I was notified almost immediately that Home Depot wouldn't be able to meet the promised delivery date. In fact, it took over a month, during which time work couldn't proceed on the bathroom. Calls to Home Depot were answered by polite employees who did their best to find the status of the shipment without success. It was obvious from their comments that this situation happened to many more customers than just me, and that the employees were just as frustrated as I was. I'd say that corrections need to be made at the corporate level. | |I will continue to shop at Home Depot but it's doubtful I'll ever place a special order again.

Although I've not hired the Oil City Home Depot to perform any services for me, I do frequent the store for my household repair needs. Without fail the employees there have been willing to not only help me find what I am looking for, but have also gone above and beyond in issue/problem resolution when I needed to do something but couldn't find what I initially needed. Example: I got some heavy-duty wall anchors to hang our television on the plaster wall in our living room. After getting home and trying to install them, I noticed that they called for a and quot;#3 Phillipsand quot; to drive the anchor into the wall. So I put my #3 bit into my drill and it was still not large enough to turn the anchor. I returned to the store and, upon looking at the other packages, I noticed that some called for a #2 and some a #3. I grabbed one of each and headed to the tool department. When I explained the situation to the man working there, he grabbed another #3 bit and it wouldn't work in either of the anchors ... this confused both of us. After a few minutes he said, and quot;I'll be right back.and quot; and walked away. When he returned he had a #3 Phillips screwdriver, not a bit for a drill. Low and behold, it fit perfectly. Turns out that the bits, in order to fit into drills and certain bit holders, are smaller in diameter than an actual screwdriver. The end result was that he contacted the mfr of the anchors to let them know about the and quot;#2 / #3and quot; issue, that they may want to specify that it HAS to be a screwdriver and not a bit. AND when he heard me say that I didn't have a #3 screwdriver so we might as well buy that one, he marked it half-off because of the hassle. This is the type of assistance that I get every single time I go there. More often than not there are several people asking me if I need help - that is true customer service. The only thing I'd like to see at this particular Home Depot that is not there is tool-rentals. Every Home Depot I've dealt with in the past from Phoenix, AZ to Austin, TX to here has had tool rental. With this being such a small town, it sure would be nice to have that available! Other than that, from 1 to 10 I would give this Home Depot a 12 ... it would be a and quot;Lucky 13and quot; if there was tool rental. :)

I went in to the Home Depot and selected the hot water heater and they had someone come in and install it. I chose them because they were the closest hardware store to me.
Description of Work: I just had a new hot water heater put in that is electric. They had a guy come in and put it in. I live at the base of a hill and when it snows and melts and I get water in my basement. I went electric and it works fine now. Home Depot had their own private contractors that they used and they had the guy come in and install it. It went well.
