We started with Jansen Landscaping just doing basic yard work (grass cutting and leaf cleanups, mostly) and, over a couple of decades now, have come to depend on them for all things relating to the look and health of our property. They respond fast in emergencies, their rates are always reasonable, and they excel on special projects (like tree work, gutters and drainage, shrubbery, patios, ponds, fencing, bamboo, other decorative landscaping features). Talk to Joe Jansen and see if you aren't impressed at the level of service, expertise, and willingness to work with you regardless of the size of your landscaping budget. They will also cut your grass better than most if that is all you require!

They never responded to us. Why are they on Angie's List if they don't communicate? Waste of time.

Mr Jansen was a "No Show" - did not respond to our email or numerouse phone calls !

IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER THAN J. JANSEN LANDSCAPING!! What an amazing experience we had with this company! Mr. Jansen performed a very dangerous job, insuring that the trees came down safely and did not damage a shed under the trees and did not damage any power lines or telephone lines nearby. All debris, not only in our yard, but also what fell into our neighbor's yard was cleaned so thoroughly, we couldn't even tell they were here! All Jansen Landscaping workers were so personable, performed their jobs so efficiently and quickly, with every one of them caring about doing a great job to insure our satisfaction. Although he had to push back our start date because of emergencies that had come up (when we had bad wind storms, etc.), Mr. Jansen always let us know that he hadn't forgotten us. This was one of THE BEST experiences we have ever had with a tree/landscaping contractor! OUTSTANDING! Thank you, J. Jansen Landscaping!!

Excellent Joe and his wonderful team have been our landscapers for more than 10 years. They are exceptional in every way. Joe and Mary are honest caring people and their pricing and high quality work reflect their values. Team members Justin Earl and others are hard working and aim for excellence. We plan to continue with Jansen Landscaping for all of our future landscaping needs.

the provider did attempt to refer me to someone else; however, I received the same line (see above) from the company I was referred to. I wanted to find a reliable service that I could fall back on for bigger things and regular maintenance but I'm not finding that through Angie's List. ***Update*** I'm changing this review due to additional feedback from the provider. Clarification was, "Lawn schedule is full and she cannot take on any additional clients." Which is very different from the original response but I'll give the benefit of the doubt. Upgrading to a C overall and a B for responsiveness to my call at least.

J, Hansen Landscaping is the best! His crew is hardworking, very professional, and the cost of all the work is extremely fair. I only hire them every year.

They came and assessed the job and worked together to get it done. Great clean up.

I contacted the landscaper in mid July. They submitted a quote for weeding and mulching. The quote was approximately $150. Because they did not ask me to define the project prior to submitting the project I asked to meet with them because I wanted to redesign the garden. The landscaper arrived when scheduled and we did a walk thru. Because of a storm threat he rushed the conversation said he would be back to take pics and send updated proposal. By mid August I had not received. I reached out again via email. I was again sent the original proposal without the additional changes. At that point I postponed follow up until I returned from vacation. When I contacted them again and explained my situation they were apologetic and said they would address immediately. By this time my garden was a jungle. They submitted a quote of $579 for the same work previously quoted at $150 ... They did not incorporate any redesign elements ... The work seems sufficient however when they mulched they did around my garden statuary which is a shortcut I was not expecting ... They also did not move the river rock border to weed nor did they redefine the garden border. I was less than satisfied.

J. Jansen does an excellent job. They are very efficient and prompt, especially with snow removal. I never have to worry about them showing up and doing a good job. very courteous, too.

They worked together to get the job done. Great clean up.

Called on June 20 for estimate, woman returned call on June 23, setup appointment for 6:00pm June 24. They never showed or called again.

Never got back to me with information .....

They were very professional. They came when they said they would. They worked all day in some very hot weather to get the job done..They cleaned up after the job and left things the way I would if I had done the job myself. We are very pleased and would use their services again.

We have been using Joe Jansen for yard cleanup and snow removal service for a few years. This years spring cleanup went extremely well. Joe is very dependable.

After a monster snow and ice storm that significantly damaged the yard and trees all over our lot, Joe Jansen and his crew not only cleared away all the snow from our driveway and walkways, but also rid our property of at least one downed tree, many fallen branches, and other debris that had fallen in both the front and back yards. Joe is our regular landscaper, but this project was well above the norm for clean-up after a winter storm. Our lot sustained significant damage and Joe was fast to respond to my call and he and his crew worked quickly and steadily until the job was done. Joe is always conscientious and trustworthy and his initiative is second to none. His crew is polite and always willing to do that little bit extra that makes the job look even better than what was requested. I definitely recommend Joe Jansen Landscaping to everyone in the area looking for great work always performed at a very fair price.

If you have an ordinary job and don't expect someone to work through a tough situation Janson Landscaping may work. However I hired Jansen to plow my mothers driveway. They left two feet of fresh snow on the sides and didn't plow the front because it was "too icy". Other times my mother had to hire other local workers because Janson was inconsistent with his word on showing up early in the morning on days it snows. Very much lacking in integrity.

Joe is very responsive to calls and inquiries, pleasant to work with and trustworthy. His crew does a thorough job.

The provider was very professional and our overall experience was excellent. However, we dicided to go with another company for our landscaping.
