We are thrilled with this job. Even three months after it was complete, neighbors have stopped us to ask about it. We had ideas about what we wanted -- a lot of evergreen bushes, lower-lying bushes around our patio so we can see into our yard, a few splashes of color. Matt and Joe came to our house the day after I called them to ask for an estimate. They were knowledgeable, experienced, and relaxed -- very easy to work with. Matt ended up being our main contact during the planning process and was very hands on. He emailed me numerous time with additional ideas about trees or bushes we might consider along with pictures of them. He came up with a very cool idea to add large flat stone boulders to step onto our patio (we asked for something simple but were open to other ideas; this option looks and works great). He also added small succulent plants in the crevices of the steps to give it a rustic look. We get loads of compliments on this. He and Joe were on site the entire time their crew were here (3 days). We've worked with 5 different landscaping groups over the years for different projects and this group is by far our favorite. It was a big job, but they really impressed us. It's also worth noting that Duffy Brothers salvaged and re-used any existing plantings that were healthy and even offered great suggestions for new "homes" for some of our existing plants that we thought were no longer healthy. We highly and enthusiastically recommend them. The overall cost was high, but fair, in our opinion, because of the work and new plantings involved. It was a really big project and investment for us.

I wasn't there for the actual cleaning and pump replacement, but when I came home the results were spectacular. The pond was clear and sparkling, all the branches that were hanging over the sides of the pond were trimmed back, and the water plant that had threatened to take over a third of the pond was cut back to a manageable size. Mr. Duffy was polite, professional, and made himself available if there were any future problems.

Duffy Brothers were responsive & accommodating. All of our work was outdoor work so they came one day during the week to provide us an estimate including price & timing to complete. This meant we did not need to take time off from work to meet them. There cost was about 20% less than the other estimate we received. We contracted with Duffy to do the work and again we agreed that they would arrive to do the work whlie we were not present. They simply left the bill in the mailbox and we sent them their payment via mail. The beds were cleared of weeds, preen was applied, and the mulch was done when we arrived home.

They arrived on time, did the job well with no fuss, and went quietly on their way. They made some helpful suggestions about some other issues in our yard, but did not follow up with annoying phone calls. They have a ton of business, so getting on the line up may be a challenge, but they were a pleasure to work with.

Flowers looked really lovely, No problems at all. This was done to improve curb appeal for a sale of the house. Unfortunately, the house has not sold and the impatients have all died. Some were eaten by critters. But the begonias did well and still look great.

As soon as they could, faster than anyone else, they were able to remove a tree that had fallen on the neighbor's property.

They were prompt to visit our home and provide a price, however, it took a while to get them on site to do the work. Once here, they did exactly what they said they'd do, worked through a couple unexpected problems and finished when they said they would. They did a nice job. I paid them within 10 days of the work. Am trying to get them to honor a second quote for weeding and mulching landscape beds . Work was quoted but haven't gotten them to start work yet -- it's thirty days since I asked them to do the work (today is 5/30/14). Granted, it's been rainy and the area's recovering from a nasty winter, so they're busy, and so forth. But in my book, if you aren't able to honor dates, you need to call the client and say so. They're capable. They did nice work. I think I'd use them again but I'm not happy to be left wondering if they're going to follow through on the new work they quoted. I need this new work done and getting other quotes now.

After receiving several estimates we chose Matt Duffy to do the work. He is knowledgeable and understood what I wanted to achieve in order to soften the approach to our front door. He designed and created an old fashioned, curved stone garden path without cement, that compliments our 1939 stone home. Duffy brothers also repaired and raised two basement window wells, finishing them in stone - then filling in topsoil to raise the area next to the house. Matt also trimmed very old azalea and mountain laurel bushes - opening them up without harming their shape - they look like they belong in a Japanese Garden! We will be calling Matt back to help plant the front garden and path to finish our new front yard this spring. I highly recommend Duffy Brothers.

I have been using Duffy Landscapng to provide lawn care services for the last 12 years. They designed beautiful flowerbeds, and a stone walkway to upgrade my curb appeal. I am on a standing lawn maintainance prgram and they routinely provide my fall and spring clean ups. I find them reliable and fairly priced.

His name is Joe Duffy. He did a great job. He came when he said and he brought enough people to do the job that day. They came on a Saturday to finish the job. He was very good.

He had a nice staff. He had a good concept of the right kind of property put in and he put in different types of colorful butterfly bushes as well hollow bushes walls. He put in very nice and mixed themes. I gave him an idea and he worked as well as put down the plans. It really looked good and I was very happy with that. He put colors in different textures and gave me the look I wanted.

Joe showed up a day after I had called him to give me an estimate. He was very friendly and personable and gave me advice as well as listened to what I was looking for my front yard to look like. They showed up exactly when they said they would and did an excellent job.
