In my previous review of Plus Construction Consulting, LLC -- which begins with the line, ?Thanks to hurricane Sandy . . .? -- I mentioned that I intended to use this company to complete other repairs unrelated to the roof, and I have. The repairs necessary consisted primarily of extensive replacement of rotted wood. As before, I received a detailed proposal which stated verbatim: ?The outside corners on the chimney are rotted, the outside corner at the front of the house, above the garage, is rotted, left rake board at the front porch is rotted, the two fascia boards at the dining room are rotted and the second floor window trim is rotted as well. All those areas, with the exception to the chimney?s two front corner posts, have rotted wood due the wood trim resting on top of the shingles. The two front chimney?s corners are rotted because there is no kick-out flashing at the bottom of the chimney cap which allows the water to flow directly on the wood.? I liked the idea that the owner of this company provided a detailed description of what the damage was and the reasons of how and why the damage occurred. During the repairs, the company took the necessary steps to ensure that the damage would not occur again. The work ? including a coat of new paint over the replaced lumber ? was professionally completed in two days, clean-up was flawless, and pricing was reasonable. Again, I highly recommend this company to perform most if not all home improvement services.

Thanks to hurricane Sandy, I needed a new roof. Before interviewing roofers, I did extensive research on the subject, mostly online. Next, I lined up four roofing concerns to inspect the roof and provide quotes. Three of the four I interviewed failed to either satisfy the answers to my questions ( I was well prepared) or come in at a reasonable price. Of the four, I selected Plus Construction Consulting, LLC for a variety of reasons. I dealt with the owner, not a sales rep. He answered all my questions correctly. He provided me with a detailed, written proposal and a follow up contract that clearly outlined the work to be performed, specifications of the materials we agreed to, and an assurance that all building codes would be met. He also promised to arrange for a dumpster, and promised to be personally onsite upon delivery of the materials to insure that the materials delivered were exactly as specified. They were. He also took care of all necessary permits and provided me with a copy of of his license and proof of insurance. The roof ? as well as installation of a second attic fan and additional ventilation ? was completed in three days. Also, as promised, protection for the landscaping around the house was put into place. Clean up was flawless. He also replaced a small section of trim that had rotted out, and painted the new wood at no additional charge. The owner and his crew were impressively professional. Pricing was fair, and all promises were kept. I am extremely satisfied and intend to use this company to complete other repairs unrelated to the roof. I give this company my highest recommendation.
