E & E Chimney Sweeps

Description of Work: Workers call prior to arriving slightly early for their appointment. We had a chimney that had not been used in over a year. They inspected the chimney and said it was fine. Needed to service and then they didn't even charge me for the visit. He gave me some tips on the fireplace and they were off. Very professional. I will have them back for any work I ever need done in the future including annual inspections.

Description of Work: This is an update to my prior posting on the Jotul stove to thank the company for a quick response. It was nice to know how responsive some businesses are to comments on Angie's List. We heard back from Leo with an emailed quote and received a follow up call from Bob to ask if we had what we needed. Thank you all.

Description of Work: We purchased a Jotul fireplace insert. Leo inspected the fireplace, was friendly, informative and professional. We have some detailed tile work around the fireplace that we wanted protected and not obstructed. Leo came up with a custom surround for the insert. After some follow up calls, the installation was scheduled and went smoothly. We are pleased with the performance of the insert. We were so pleased with the product, that we decided to purchase an insert for a second fireplace. This time however the responsiveness is a lot poorer and we are still waiting on Leo to get back to us with answers to our questions despite repeated calls answered by a Bob who promises answers but has to wait on Leo - hence the C on responsiveness.

Description of Work: I had a fireplace that I had not used in the 4 years I had owned my home. I called to have my chimney clean/inspected before I used the fireplace. E & E Chimney Sweeps came out and did a visual inspection of the fireplace and chimney and informed me that it was clean and in good working order. The service man did not charge me for the call. In addition, the service man asked if I had every used a fire place - which I had not. He then explained in detail how to arrange and the amount of firewood to used. He also explained to me the importance of making sure the chimney draft was pulling in the right direction before lighting the fire. This saved me a lot of headaches (literally), as I would've just opened the flue and dropped a match on it, smoking my whole house out! I definitely would recommend E & E Chimney Sweeps!

Description of Work: We hired E & E Chimney Sweeps to check the fireplace in our home; it had not been used in many years, except with an electric insert. The tech phoned when he was 20 minutes away; he arrived on time and checked the firebox. He told us that the chimney did not need any cleaning; it only needed a small amount of insulation in the very front behind the top bricks. He showed my husband what the chimney needed and did not charge us. He explained why this procedure was necessary and was very professional. I will hire this company again next year to check the fireplace after we use it this winter.

Description of Work: E&E came out to check our pellet stove and repair our thermostat. They arrived at the time they said they would and proformed the work and even did extra work. They were very professional and cleaned up after they were done. We also will be buying more pellets in the next couple of weeks from them. We have never had any problems and everyone from the office staff to the service staff have always been very helpful and nice.

Description of Work: E&E came out to clean our chimney and check out our pellet stoves for the winter, They arrived on time and did all the work we needed to have done. They did it then cleaned up after they were done. They are always very pleasant and do what is needed and sometimes even check things for us that we don't ask for. They are the best company around always friendly when we call the office and when they come out. E&E are also great with our pets too. We are getting our pellets from them also. They have the best pellets at the best prices. E&E is the only place we will go for work to be done and our pellets. They are the best and friendlist around.
