E & E Chimney Sweeps

Everything went very well. The tech arrived on time to check our thermostat that we did not think was working right, turns out after he checked the stove and thermostat that everything was fine. They are very polite and explain all work done to us when finished. We also bought two skids of pellets from them. We will use them again.

An unbelievably fantastic experience! Two personable young men from E & E arrived within the allotted time frame. They thoroughly inspected three fireplaces, oil burner flue and rooftop caps. They brought me the news: even though we had not had the chimneys cleaned in a few years, we were burning minimal wood so they did not need to be cleaned. No charge. I was stunned! Amazing! They recommended one rooftop cap be replaced. An appointment and payment arrangements were made over the phone so I do not even have to be home for the service to be completed. E & E is the best!

I explained to E&E the last chimney company that came out was supposed to put on a cap and never heard from them even after numerous phone calls. I wanted to be assured when E&E came out that they would have the correct cap and install the same day as the chimney cleaning. They sent a service tech out the week before to measure and completed the job in one visit. My husband was home the day of the service and he said we will use E&E again.

It went very well, the service tech's arrived on time, did all the work needed. Cleaned up after they were done. They are very professional and pleasant. Now that the stove is clean we will be buying our pellets from them as we always do. We have used E&E before and have always had a good experience with them and plan to use them for a long time.

Called them to clean the fireplace chimney, house chimney, and evaluate the house chimney cap that was damaged in 10/2012 to see if it needed replacement or could be repaired. I was able to get a price estimate on both sweep services, and a ballpark number for a chimney cap replacement. The service techs performed the chimney clean, and were able to re-attach the chimney cap at no extra cost. They also checked the house chimney and indicated it did not need to be cleaned at this time. Thankful they did not charge anything for fixing the cap and re-install and they did not perform an unneccesary chimney sweep that would have costed extra money.

Everything went fine. Workers arrived on time. Job done in a professional manner. Everything checked and rechecked. Cleaned up after the job. Explained all workings of the stove before leaving.

We were extremely pleased with the result. They cleaned up everything and were very efficient. We have never had to call them back to fix anything. We would highly recommend them.

This company charges a low rate for their services, but they might at first glance seem more expensive. Unlike most sweeps, they don't recommend unnecassary repairs! In the end, you will pay less and work with friendly people that you can trust. You just can't beat that! They found other issues that other sweeps had found w/ my chimney, but recommended simple, cost effective ways to mitigate those issues.

I found them through Angie's List. I visited their showroom close by. They helped me weigh all my options and come to a solution. They were very patient and professional with explaining all the details for me. I had to deal with permits through my township which was frustrating. I also had to find my own plumber to install a gas line. The permits process and the plumber set me back more than a month from the original install date. I had to push the fireplace install date back several times and E&E was very pleasant. Any questions were answered by a friendly staff. The installation crew were professional and cleaned up everything. They explained the use of the controller to me.

The tech.arrived my home on time. They are very professional . They kept room clean during the job I appreciate them to bring the warm in my home. The fireplace makes my family room very pretty now. $4400 is a lot money, but I think I got 200% value back.

E&E was an excellent chimney sweep! My fireplace hadn't been cleaned in a number of years, yet the cleaning couldn't have gone better. The technician was polite, prompt, courteous. He worked quickly and efficiently, made sure my home was protected from any dirt generated by the cleaning, and was meticulous in cleaning up after himself. The fireplace looked great when he was done!

This company came highly recommended from the reviews on Angie's list and apparently, I'm not the only one who reads the reviews. It took a month from the time I called to get an appointment (it was over the holiday season). The appointment was for 9:00 am and when he did not show by 9:50, I called and was told the appointment was for between 9 and 10 (I do not remember being told this when I made the appointment). He arrived at 10:10. He swept the chimney, which I can only assume he did well. I cannot see up the flue, so I have no way of knowing. There was no mess and he took less than 30 minutes. He gave me some good information about my fireplace and factors that contribute to creosote build up. Overall, I was pleased with the work, but not with their punctuality. The CSR on the phone was cordial but did not apologize when I called about him being late. That would have helped their ratings.

Came out to see what needed to happen; inspected, ordered parts and came back to repair. Got it done in time for closing!

They have a flat chimney sweep rate. They were actually lower than other people that I have spoken too. I spoke to them on the phone and they are coming out today. They asked me the usual questions. How old your home is and how long has the chimney been there and when was the last time you had it swept. I told them that we had a cap put on. It was matter of fact. They answered the phone and answered the phone. They were good and they answered quickly.

They arrived on schedule to provide the estimate, which entailed removing the existing termination cap to get accurate measurements. It took about 2 weeks to get the chase cover fabricated to fit the chimney. An installation date was set and they arrived on time to remove the old chase cover and install the new one. And it looks great! Special note: During the interval between the estimate and the installation, the fireplace developed a leak that I am sure was due to disturbing the 26 year rust build up on the existing termination cap, which was removed to get a measurement. I placed a call to Karen at E and E, and in less than 2 hours, they had someone out to tarp the fireplace! I truly appreciated that quick response.

In early December I called to verify my appointment was 12/5 afternoon-evening time slot.. On 12/5 at 4:45 I called again and was assured that the person was still out doing jobs and he would be by. Of course no one came. Its was already dark. Here it is one week later and I have not even received a phone call to reschedule. I'll spend my money with someone who wants my business. UPDATED DECEMBER 15, 2012: Very good visit. I will most likely follow up with E&E for more work (once I get my problem straightened out)

I used this company based on Angie's List rating. My previous provider retired and prior to that another firm falsely recommended a complete relining of the chimney. E & E phoned ahead to confirm arrival time of technician. Technician arrived on time and did a very thorough and tidy job. I will be happy to use them again.

They arrived on time in a professional fashion. Apparently they were very busy as a result of the recent storms and the fact that winter is rapidly approaching, but they were on time nonetheless. They laid down tarps to ensure they didn't mess up the carpeting, and took apart the fireplace. They cleaned the glass, checked the mechanics of the fireplace and the gas pressures, and checked the remote system to make sure that worked. The only minor negative was that they didn't have replacement batteries on them and had to use mine, but I could have also waited for them to come back with batteries. Had I not had batteries on hand I'm sure they would have come back another time with them, but I didn't want to have to be bothered, so that's on me, not them. The price was on the high side but well worth it, and I would pay it again just to have service people come to my house that were that knowledgable and professional. If I decide to upgrade my fireplace in the future I would definitely call this company.

We just purchased a new home, so we wanted our new fireplace and chimney inspected and cleaned before we lit our first fire of the season. Called E&E Chimney sweeps because I saw their billboard and their relationship with Fireside Hearth and Home, a brand I know and respect. Their technician came out as scheduled, looked at our fireplace, told us it was fine, and in his words said "I could put a brush in there, but it would be highway robbery". He instructed us on the proper use of the grates and flue, gave us a recommendation for a vendor of firewood and left without charging us anything! Not even a service call or inspection fee, which we thought would have been very reasonable. We were VERY impressed with their integrity and helpfulness and we will therefore absolutely call them again for the next cleaning.

I had my chimney swept today by E and E Chimney Sweeps. I scheduled the appt about 2 weeks prior over the phone and was given a four hour window. As I work nearby I asked if they could call me 30-45 mins prior to arrival so I could get home from work and let them in. Today Xavier called 30-45 mins before he arrived as arranged and upon his arrival was very courteous and professional. He checked out the chimney inside and out, cleaned it and gave me some advice on an old ash tray at the back of the fireplace. No mess or dirt left afterwards and I'd happily recommend E and E and will use them again in the future.
