He called me 1-1/2 hours after the scheduled appointment time to tell me that he had an emergency and rescheduled to the following day at 9AM. He arrived shortly after that time. When I opened the door, there stood a man in jeans and a long sleeve shirt with no indication that he was from a company. I was actually skeptical to allow him in my door. He thought it should take 2 hours to install 4 deadbolt locks on the doors of my new home. He left at approximately 12:30pm. It took him the extra time to install the deadbolt on my back door because it is a metal door. After he left, I noticed that that my back door has damage where he installed the deadbolt. The deadbolt that was installed on the basement door was loose and had to be finished by my nephew. Not a pleasing experience.

I called twice and sent two other requests for service. This company never returned a call or request for quote.

When I called for an estimate, Randy came out the next day. Getting return calls after that to clarify scheduling was a little more difficult, but we eventually worked it out. Randy and Cathy came on a Saturday to work on the living room. I had blown-in insulation done about a week before, and because my front living room wall is stone-faced on the exterior, they had to do it from the inside, leaving 15 3and quot; holes in the wall. Randy patched the holes, and he and Cathy painted the other three walls, the ceiling, and the trim. (Note: I supplied the paint; this is not included in the price listed above.) He also fixed the doors that day. The patching needed more work, so he came back on Tuesday with his son. While the patching dried, Randy installed the attic decking and fixed the screen door and Matthew did most of the other tasks. Everything, including the last of the painting, was done in about six hours. Very professional work--the living room looks great and the holes are not even noticeable. Randy was willing to add a few small things or make changes when asked. The final price was lower than what he had quoted me for the painting and patching alone. I have already made arrangements to have Randy come back to do more interior painting in a few months.

I am very happy with them but have not decided whether I am going to use them or not. They came and met me after my work which is when I told them what I wanted. They gave me some suggestions and then gave me an estimate 4-6 days later. I am currently checking another price out but as far as their estimate goes their pricing was pretty reasonable for what I needed done.

Called back within 3 days of initial inquiry. Scheduled immediately but had to reschedule due to emergency. Came on time. I had a list and we worked together to make a plan. I left them at the house while I went to store to get some things needed for the work (light fixtures and window locks). When I came back they had the whole list done and were finishing up the tree in the back yard. Not only did they take care of the tree, they cleaned up the all the debris and chopped salvagable wood into appropriate size for wood stove and stored in appropriate area. Never has my money go so far. I like the fact that they worked together when it was necessary and apart when it was not. Since I was paying by the hour, that meant their time was used well and my money spent well. I am excited to use them again. I like having one service to do all our work from the small jobs to the big ones.

Randy and Cathy gave me an estimate, started when they said they would, stayed until the work was done. They did a very good job, and I would recommend them to anyone.

We got them off of Angie's List. They were very responsive and very nice. The estimate was for $6000. We checked out three painters and they were all very good people. It would've been hard to choose. We did not use Ecks Handyman Services because we found someone else who had a home improvement business as well as the best price.

I called for an estimate on some leaking that I had on my roof. The woman over the phone was able to give me a very accurate estimate of the work and time that the repair would take. The repair man came out within the timeframe they said and completed the work promptly. The price was dead on and the overall experience was very good.

Randy and Kathy painted both my kitchen and dining room. There were no splotches of paint splattered anywhere; the "lines" between ceiling and walls were done evenly; the trim paint was skillfully applied; and they did an immaculate job of cleaning up after themselves when finished. Randy also did some minor plumbing repairs and installed new closet door kits so that closets would close properly. Both Randy and Kathy are pleasant and professional in their manner and it has paid off for them --- they now have regular commercial accounts who use them on a regular basis.

He plastered, sanded and painted two ceilings, and repaired roofing. Overall working with him was great. The prices were very good. Only problem was he didn't cover furniture when plastering and sanding the ceiling and dust got all over the furniture. I mentioned this and the next time he was more careful about covering things up. He is on-time and professional.
