Mr. Kozlansky was a pleasure to work with, scheduling was very easy and prompt, and the cleaning was thorough. He explained what he was doing and ho to reduce creosote buildup. Mr. Kozlansky also put down drop cloth to keep the carpet clean. Very happy with Complete Chimney service, have had them do the annual cleaning several times.

Michael did an amazing job. He was meticulous with the masonry work and flue repairs. He was reliable, knowledgeable and highly skilled. He communicated well and showed up when he said he would. He took great care to protect my home and cleaned up every day. He knows so much about his craft and I felt so lucky to have found him. Several other companies did not even want to try to do a masonry firebox and gave outrageous quotes. I told Mike that my fireplace is now his fireplace and I will have no one else touch it. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is a masonry artist!

Cleaning and inspection of 2 chimneys and a pellet stove

Chimney cleaning good, but the work that was done in the fireplace was not great. I should have went with a fireplace company. Charge $145 for cleaning and $1,500 for fixing inside of fireplace replacing the walls. The walls were not seamless. Wanted to put in gas fireplace. Will have to hire another company. Do not use them to fix fireplace. The guy Ron was nice but he talk to fast and to much. He also was suppose to fix my chimney flute. He gets to the house and say he will not be fixing the flute. If he had fix the chimney flute that would have cost another $1,000. They did the cutting of the fireplace walls at my house. What a mess. He took measurements twice. I thought they cut the walls at the company. They ask me if i had a cutting board or table to cut the walls. The main point don't use them to fix your fireplace or chimney flute.

Mike was outstanding. We got off to a slow start because of weather but that can't be helped. This project was a little over a week long to complete and he called me on 4 separate occasions just to give me an update. I've hired many contractors and seldom do they call to give updates. Mike's experience and observation proved dead on;, he suspected water damage in 2-3 crucial areas and when he got down to the level there was definitely damage. At one point I had people coming in for the weekend, he cut work short on friday and came in late on monday to give the visitors an opportunity to do their thing without him being there and having people pack and unpack around his crew. In addition, he cleaned up before they arrived and cleaned up nicely when he was finished with the project. I've seen other reviews saying he's not quick in responding; to those claims I would STRONGLY suggest keep following up, he is busy but his work, ethics and professionalism are well worth the wait or extra effort needed to contact him.

We called to set up a time for the chimney to be cleaned, we recently moved into the house and didn't know when it had last been done or what shape it was in. The day of the appointment Mike called before coming, and he was right on time. In addition to the fireplace we had a question about an opening in the basement that we thought led to the primary chimney. He took the time to look it over and explain that it was a separate one for a wood burning or pellet stove that was in there at some point in the past. He helped us close that up on the roof so no animals or drafts would come down, and did a great job cleaning the fireplace chimney itself. He took some pictures so we could see what the chimney looked like inside, we're now confidently using the fireplace.

Mike was on time did a great job and even replaced a few screws on the cap and did not ask for any other payment over the quote. Don't be afraid to hire this guy.

Cleaning was through and exceptionally executed. Michael and team were asked to investigate the top of the chimney CAPS because another company we used here in the Poconos who professes to be Christian based, advised us that the top of the caps were in bad state and needed repairs ($1100). I was suspicious and chose not to do anything. Michael confirmed my suspicions and has built trust.

By the time I received delivery of the stove, I realized that the installation was going to be more complicated than anticipated and require some sheet metal work to fit the unit into the fireplace. After discussing my project with several contractors who generally were quite tentative, I reached Mike by phone and we reviewed the project. He immediately displayed an understanding of the project beyond what I heard from the less experienced contractors and noted some other important features. Firstly, he pointed out that my fireplace was really a “zero clearance” and not a masonry fireplace, despite the brickwork that appeared on the outside. Upon seeing the project in-person, unlike others, he strongly recommended that I maintain the integrity of the metal firebox and not cut through the firebox floor to accommodate the dimensions of the stove. He recommended instead cutting the metal framing at the top of the fireplace opening and then building needed support for the front of the stove. In terms of venting the stove, he encouraged me to consider the preferred method of running the stove vent pipe all the way up the existing chimney to the chimney cap, rather than ending the vent pipe partially up the chimney as others suggested. Mike delivered his recommendations in a friendly, non-imposing manner. While I appreciated his professional knowledge and manner, I also greatly appreciated the suggestions he offered about how to improve the overall appearance of the fireplace. They were priceless and not simply because they were not part of my original budget! Mike’s aesthetic judgement and craftmanship transformed the fireplace from a functional and rather worn visual element to an attractive focal point of the house’s first floor. The earth tone stone palette he used melded with the color elements of the adjacent granite kitchen counter and flooring, making the two open adjoining areas one visually harmonious picture. Unexpectedly, the pellet stove fireplace insert project turned out to be the culminating point of an 18-month renovation project. I could not be more satisfied with the outcome. In terms of execution, the workmanship was flawless. Mike has an artist’s eye for attention to detail. When he thought a piece of stone wasn’t placed to his satisfaction, he reset as many stones as needed to get it right in his mind. He completed the project in the time-frame given, which was faster than virtually anything else of consequence I have had done on the house. He also is a genuinely nice fellow. There aren't enough good things I can say about him and his work.

We discovered during the summer that the flue for our furnace was damaged and was not drawing properly, a dangerous situation. We contacted Mike at Complete Chimney Service based on Angies List reviews. Mike came out quickly and provided an estimate within a few days, which we felt was reasonable and which was lower than another contractor we contacted. The work was begun a few weeks later and they did a great job, Mike and his son Arian working late to get us back hot water and heat the same day they began the job. Very professional with fast responses to calls and messages. Could not be better.

The chimney cleaning service was fine, however I did need to call several times to lock down an appointment.

Excellent. Worked with us with our time crunch in a professional manner.

Professional and Courteous. Assessed the situation and explained what needed to be done before he began working. Even took the time to show me the crud that had built up in the furnace stack. Will be using Mike's services in the future.

Called Complete Chimney Service and we set up an appointment. Mike came out today to sweep our Chimney and clean out our dryer vents. He was great ....kind, courteous and did a great job cleaning up at a very reasonable price! We would highly recommend them!

Educated me on the process of chimney sweeping. Recommended that minor repairs would improve performance of fireplace but was not pushy or forced fixing at time of service

Never returned to install the liner despite multiple attempts on my part to contact. Very poor communication & left me hanging with a job partially done. He was very polite & professional while he was there, so if the job can be completed in one day, you may be safe.

Mike arrived promptly and was very professional. He performed a very thorough job. He also took his time to answer all questions. We would definitely use Complete Chimney Service in the future. Great work.

Mike is very professional, kind and thoughtful man. He not only cleaned my chimney as I asked, also fixed my coal stove and fired up the stove. He went above and beyond, bought the fire bricks for the need of stove and left them at our doorsteps. I would recommend Mike to anyone who need chimney and coal stove service. I am so happy that I found him to work on my house.

Mr. Kozlansky fit me into his schedule within a day of contacting him and did a very thorough job. He put down dropcloths to keep the floor clean and showed me the creosote build-up and explained what he was doing. I would highly recommend Mr. Kozlansky to anyone needing chimney service and will gladly contact him for future chimney maintenance.

The job when very well. Mike and his son were pleasant to deal with, kept the job site tidy, were responsive to my concerns and questions, and did a thorough and fine job. The chimney looks great.

Very punctual and great service

My name is Tony Viano. My family use this company for more than 5 years. Very professional and responsible people. Very reasonable and affordable price. Mike always come on time (as scheduled). Perform a very good quality of service. Very knowledgeable with fire safety rules and regulations. At a work place always keep clean environment, also cleaning the space after the work is done. He and his workers did a lot of work at our house, such as: rebuilt the hall chimney with a multiple flues, fix and install insert woodstove into fireplace space, fix second fireplace flue, etc. Very professional people. Defenetely would recommend to other people.

They began their service with one of the techs removing the black stove pipe from the woodstove and throwing it outside in a mound of grass. He then laughed saying his partner would clean it while he returned to vacuuming and inspecting the flue. After they cleaned and resealed the pipe this gentleman began up-selling me with regard to having him install a stainless flue and lower the thimble on the masonry wall. Strangely enough, prior, he mentioned that if the stainless flue were installed that the thimble would not have to be any more than 2 inches from the ceiling. It was currently 6 inches. I received a second opinion and found there was nothing wrong with my terra-cotta flue and my thimble height on the masonry wall. Lastly, one of the most unprofessional attributes was when he kept calling me 'bro'. I should have asked for my money back. Luckily, I didn't fall for the pressure selling and scare tactic of him saying it wasn't up to code. Always get a 2nd opinion!
