+ -1 moreThe technician from A2Z Repair came on a Friday and replaced dryer belt. He charged $75, his hourly rate plus $20 for part and was here about forty minutes. On Monday I tried to use my dryer and it wouldn't heat up. I called Tuesday and he came out Wednesday. He charged me $75 again and told me the heating element was installed incorrectly and reinstalled. He was here twenty minutes. When I run the dryer there is a burning smell. He did not bother to clean away debris before putting the cover back on even though I paid for a full hour or check everything else within time constraints was in working order.

Description of Work: When our 2-year-old Electrolux over-the-range microwave stopped heating anything, I initially tried contacting the local authorized service providers listed on the manufacturers website. The ones that even bothered to return my phone calls refused to schedule a service call to repair a microwave which cost $800 when new. | |I was able to reach Don from A2Z on my first attempt, and he was promptly at our home the next day. He diagnosed the problem in a little less than an hour and immediately contacted his supplier for the necessary replacement part. He returned the next day to complete the repair, and our microwave was again operational for a fraction of the cost of a replacement. | |I wholeheartedly recommend A2Z Appliance Repair. Don takes pride in what he does and provides service that is both professional and personal which is something that seems to be a rarity today.

Description of Work: Don Williams did a great job fixing our refrigerator. We called him on a Saturday & he was at our house first thing Monday morning. He ordered a part for us & returned to install it a day earlier than he had predicted. I'd hire him again in a heartbeat, & I strongly recommend him to anyone who needs prompt, expert, & reasonably priced service work.

Description of Work: Replaced a lid lock mechanism on a top loading washer. Fast professional service. Will definitely use again if needed

+ 0 moreDon previously replaced a burner component on the same gas-fired dryer, and made a repair to our old washer. In both of those instances, he was prompt, professional, fast and courteous. He's on our list as "THE" go-to guy for appliance repair in our household.
Description of Work: We've used Don before, but I'm new to Angie's List. Thought he deserves a positive review here. Called him on a Saturday because dryer wasn't working (belt broke). Gave him the make & model over the phone. He arrived within 30 minutes and had the part with him. Installed and back in business 15 minutes after that. Bill was reasonable given that it was a weekend and he was so prompt.
