I had this Apple I-Mac for about 5 years without any problems. Lately I have been experiencing many pop-ups. Checked Angie's list. There are many computer repair businesses to choose from and some were cheeper in the prepay but didn't know if there were going to be any hidden cost. I called West Chester Computer Doctors in West Chester and they informed me they had a shop in Exton. (very close to my house) They were super friendly on the phone and could look at my computer right away! Dropped it off at 4:30 pm on Friday and they called me before lunch on Saturday telling me It was done and I could come pick it up! Excellent, Fast and Friendly service. Would and will recommend this place to everyone I know!

Informed, thoughtful and courteous. The technician in Exton - Mark - listened and only then acted to diagnose and evaluate issues with my laptop. Fix - thankfully - stands as simple and direct. Best yet - that's exactly the work done for the solution. The work is competent, the people pleasant, pricing very reasonable and location convenient. Well done all around.

Excellent. Prompt, polite and professional service and telephone conversations. Re-tested the tower for a customer requested service AFTER I had been billed and was checking-out...no charge. Open call policy anytime down the road should an issue arise.

I thought I would have to leave my computer there, but the problem was simple and they ficed it for no charge. They could not have been nicer. They could have taken advantage of the situation and they didn't.

I called in the morning 6/19/14 after looking at various computer repair possibilities. Spoke to Brandon (I hope I am spelling his name correctly). My computer would boot but I couldn't log in or run anything. They would do a diagnostic for free and let me now what was going on. I dropped the comptuer off mid-afternoon 6/19. Told them my computer would boot but nothing else. They said they would be back to me later in the day or Friday. Received a call on Fri @ ~ 3pm. My computer was clean, no viruses, everything was running fine. I though it might be a fluke with Quicken as that was what I was running at the time the computer stopped responding. Had them install a solid state drive to give my hard drive a break and hopefully extend its life. Told them I would p/u Sat morning @ 10 when they open. They checked the stick I do my Quicken backups on to make sure there were no problems. All was good, took computer home. Got home, plugged in, etc, etc. Booted, could not log in. Called immediately. We went back and forth on the phone. Long story short, I use a wireless keyboard and mouse - it turns out the receiver for those went bad because as soon as I plugged in a wired keyboard and mouse everything was fine. Now maybe they should have known that was a problem. I have a feeling they are more business centric but they were very patient with my calls and questions. I think if I had walked away with their free diagnostic they still would have tried to help me figure out my problem. However, I would suggest to them that in future they may want to have their clients bring in any wireless components to check.

They did a great job.

The best thing that I like about this company is that they gave me a loaner pc that was very beneficial. This alone was definitely worth my purchase.

I had a frustrating experience working with this group. When I first dropped off the laptop I was told it would cost ~$99 to pull the data from the hard drive and save to another drive. They told me they would diagnose it and get back to me. After a week or so I still hadn't heard from them and I called and they told me it would be $250 to pull the data. I was quite frustrated in that the initial person said it would probably be significantly less, and they did not let me know that they had done the diagnostics. I was short on time so I said go ahead with the data retrieval. I had to call several times to get updates on it, however, I do appreciate that the owner called me and told me what was being done. Once I picked it up and tried to upload the data, nothing showed up on the hard drive. They tried to do a diagnostic online but they couldn't figure it out so I needed to bring it back in. They told me they would get back to me the next day and let me know what was happening (since I needed to drop it off to my son in a few days). Once again, no one called me, so I ended up having to call them several times to ensure the work was done within a few days (even though I already paid for work that I thought was complete). It turns out that they had "locked" the data on the drive inadvertently. As I said this was a very frustrating experience from a customer service standpoint. If they would have followed back up with me like they promised I wouldn't have been as frustrated, even though the data recovery didn't show up the first time.

From the first phone call and visit until the end of my experience with West Chester Computer Doctors (WCCD) I can honestly say, everyone was professional, kind, and courteous. Before I entered the door, I even encountered 2 women who noted that I must be headed to WCCD as I was lugging a large and heavy desktop computer and they both said they had positive experiences there and raved about their work. WCCD thoroughly scanned both my personal desktop as well as my external hard drive for no charge and gave me incredible piece of mind in doing so as I was concerned due to cyberstalker threats. They indicated that they only charge if they find something which they didn't, thankfully! I had high hopes that their data recovery efforts would help me restore my work-related data but unfortunately, while they tried numerous programs, they were unsuccessful. Which to be fair is because it was corrupt - according to my own corporate IT folks - but I was grasping and sought WCCD's second opinion, Again, though, no charge for trying which I certainly appreciated. However, I must say that I did have to call them to check on the status and I did have to remind them of the details of what the projects entailed, but overall (as they even loaded my computer equipment into my car for me) I was pretty pleased and would recommend them!

My husband's laptop got hit by a unknown virus. The symptom was the internet was hijacked into an unknown server. We had contacted Norton and Microsoft They each spent hours on my husband's laptop but the symptom was still there. After we sent our laptop to the the Comupter doctor. They fix it and put a new Anti-Virus on my husband's laptop. It works fine since then.

I would probably use West Chester Computer Doctors again for services.

The overall experience was good. The price and quality of work were excellent. I have recommended them to a lot of people, and they have done a wonderful job for them.

When the PC wouldn't turn on, we took called this company. They returned the call quickly and told me their hours. When we dropped it off, we were told they would evaluate the problem and call with an estimate. Two days later I called them. The owner looked it up, told me what the problem was, and gave an estimate. I asked that it would be ready at 3pm that same day. When I asked why I wasn't called, the owner didn't seem to know. Unfortunately, I am getting used to services working like this - promising a call but really expecting me to do the calling - so I don't hold it against them too much. It was ready on time, at the estimated price, and is now working well.
