While he was inspecting the roof, he found that the company who installed the roof did not install rings around the ventilation pipes sticking up (not the correct terminology, I'm sure). He installed them very quickly at a very fair price.

James was professional, courteous, and took photos of the roof to show me thar areas that needed attention. We plan on using him again. For anyone out there who needs roofing, you will not be disappointed!!

We were unable to look on the roof to examine the work and were left with the promise of the provider that the work was done..The leakage never stopped and we have water marks on the ceilings.

The contractor was very responsive, his men were on time and did an excellent job. I am very happy with the outcome as they had to match a stucco paint color that was many years old.

He spent time trying to diagnose the leak and coming up with the least invasive solution. They were respectful to our property and to me while doing the job. Excellent in all areas from bid to completion. I wasn't living in the house so James kept me posted by text & pictures of progress. He got along with the tenants. He was prompt and responsive. The job was smooth--unlike many horror stories I've heard. Most importantly the house looks great. I had a lot of competent bidders on this job. James got it because he could do the whole thing--the other guys only wanted pieces of the job. Having one contractor for roof, painting and gutters really paid off in how the job went. I give James Townsley a A- on price. Not the lowest but a competitive, fair price. Seriously, who wants the cheapest when you can have the best? Further, he didn't nickel-dime during the work. He replaced a cracked shutter and chimney cap not included in the price. Not a fortune, but a good feeling. James really cared about me, my tenants, and how the job turned out. And it turned out great. It was a pleasure to work with him. I would hire him again in a moment. Recommend him highly.

They were able to do it the same day because it was a quick fix. I appreciated the way he took time to describe exactly what was going on, the fact the rest of the roof was in good shape, and the recommended maintenance to keep it that way. James was personable, professional, and knowledgeable. I will definitely use this service again.

Our large home, unfortunately has many building issues with the roof and windows leaking in multiple areas. We've gone through multiple roofers and contractors to try and fix problems over the last eight years, and not one of them was able to find the leaks and/or repair them completely. They would "repair" things and after a couple of years, our "house of caulk" would start leaking again. We found James through Angies List and we couldn't be happier. He is very busy and sometimes it may take a few days for him to respond, but he shows up and spends the time needed to finish the job correctly. He repaired a gutter that wasn't catching water properly, sealed our leaking windows, and found a major roof problem that may have caused a few different leaks. He was able to create a metal valley roof piece to stop the water from infiltrating, saving us a lot of money and the potential of removing and replacing part of our roof. If you want a thorough, cost effective roofer, I recommend James Townsley!

James and his crew did an outstanding job. They recommended painting the front door versus purchasing new and it was not only cheaper, but the door looks better than the new one I would have purchased.

Roof was replaced one day and gutters installed the next. I was very happy with the results and would recommend him to others.

We scheduled Jim to give us an estimate for replacing our 22-year-old roof - initially this was a planned repair but turned into an insurance claim when he found evidence of hail damage. He met the adjuster and made sure to point out the damage he'd seen,and the claim was approved. Jim provided his proposal quickly and stayed in touch frequently throughout the planning stages - eg., confirming our shingle choices, discussing scheduling. On the day work was to start, the crew showed up promptly and worked throughout the day to get as much done as possible before dark. Day 2 was unfortunately several days later due to weather, but the work was completed without problems. The new roof looks great, and more importantly, is holding up well through the first few winter storms. They also replaced several gutters, downspouts, and window screens that were damaged by the hailstorm. They will be back once the weather warms up to do strip and reprint the deck (also damaged by hail). Their price was about higher than the other estimate we got, but Jim went the extra mile to answer our questions, meet the insurance adjuster, etc., and we were very comfortable with him. It would have been helpful to know ahead of time that they would need access inside the home to confirm that the skylights (two in one room and one in another) were installed properly - it was just luck that I was able to come home to let them in. Other than that little communication glitch, I was very happy with the work.

Jim and his crew are very courteous and professional in their demeanor. They worked fast and completed the work more quickly than I expected. The Townsley crew take a great deal of pride in the work they do and it is reflected in their work .I will be calling on them to take on some additional projects.

James was very patient and informative in helping us choose the right paint and colors. Once decided and scheduled, the work was completed as planned. James had a more creative and less expensive way to fix two sections of our composite shingles. The price was very competitive and the house and deck look great. When the team came back to finish up, they even patched a section that I had marred while doing some work - at no extra charge. James wanted to make sure he charged a fair price and that we were very happy with the outcome. We are and according to the compliments from the neighbors, they are too. I highly recommend James Townsley.

James sat down and discussed, educated really, the roof he was recommending and the differences in product. He made sure I understood what he and his team expected and potential issues they sometimes find. Fortunately, they did not find any additional issues and the work was completed on time. To minimize our inconvenience, the crew started early and finished late. The job was done in a very timely manner. The pricing was very fair for the work performed, including the additional work I requested while the crew was here. The process could not have gone better. I liked the work & pricing, he was hired to paint our house as well.

It was good. The guy who came out was nice. I may consider doing a whole new roof with them depending on what the insurance says.
