The service turned out very well. The reason we had him out was because we thought we smelled mold in the attic, and so we thought that there may be something wrong with the roof. I didn't say anything about ti to him, but while he was up there, he found a quarter of our roof had rotten boards. He took, photos and videos of it to show us. He proved it needed fixing. We had him come back to fix it. We wanted him to fix it. He came back on a pretty short order, got it done in a day, and he comes with the workers. He documented everything, and the place smelled a lot better afterwards. The price was very fair.

Had a gutter issue. James helped fixing it and also cleaned it .Very nice to work with. No complaint. Overall happy with the work.

Good team. No talking. Just working in harmony and finishing before the rain set in. Jim was very personable and friendly and kept me up to date on progress end of day 1 (had to stop because of light rain). Removed and replaced only portions they knew they could handle before the rain began. Jim said they watch and work around weather all the time that it is second nature to him now.

James inspected the whole roof including flashing, covers for vents. Commented that overall the roof was in good condition and not needing any significant repairs. He caulked an area above the sunroom, identified an area where shingles were loose and went to nail them . I was happy with his inspection of the roof and overall reassured the roof was in good condition after such a long winter storm season.

It went very smoothly from the point of diagnosing the problem to fixing it. Work was completed in timely manner. Very happy with their services. Already recommended to our friends,:)

The experience went very well. They did inspection and all necessary repairs to the roof. They responded to me quickly, and so there was no comparison because we had the offer from Angie's List. I am happy with it, and they repaired everything that they said. I intend to contracting him for other work that we talked about when he was here, because he is a general contractor.

Mr Townsley was very prompt and professional. He took pictures to show me that my vent caps needed to be replaced and he provieded a reasonable fee. He needed to get a part for one of the caps. He promisd to return the same day to do the work. He did as promised. He was quick and efficient.

It was great! James was timely, had good pricing, and did quality work. The roof is in much better shape thanks to his services.

It turned out very well. There were additional charges beyond the big deal amount. The cost of the service was approximately $320, not including the deal. What was good was that he could provide multiple services for other repair work around the house.

Fixed an issue with my gutters before major damaged happened. Very likeable and professional.

James was honest and didn't try to sell me repairs that were not needed. He even fixed a couple things that were technically not covered in the 'big deal' due to the pitch of our roof. I'm very happy with the results ... no more leaking roof!

He responded quickly to my Angie's List purchase (bought basic roof maintenance package through a special on the list) and showed up on time for the appointment. Very friendly and personable. No hard sells. I'm not sure what services were performed as it was for minor maintenance on the roof (he said he did some caulking and basic things, but I wasn't having any visible problems), so I can't review the job itself as I was clueless before and remain so now. I will say that he prepared an estimate for roof replacement (planning for next year) that was quite high, but it was for premium products, as well. Not the cheapest estimate I've seen, but I'd consider him anyway, if not for this then for other jobs. When I told him I would probably go with another roofer because his estimate was too high for me he sent back an immediate and very nice response that was polite and professional. May contact him again for exterior painting work and/or gutter work, if I don't use him for the roof.

It went better than expected. The contractor was punctual, courteous, professional and skilled. All roof maintenance and repairs were completed to the utmost satisfaction of the homeowner who was present during all of the work. Jim Townsley Contracting will be used for any future roof repairs and maintenance and also considered for a roof replacement when needed. I highly recommend his services to others.

James called back promptly and showed up on time. He was friendly and gave me some good advice on roof maintenance. He also fixed a few "extra" things on the roof free of charge and did not try to sell me any additional services. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and will use him again for any future roofing needs.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. The service was exemplary. There were no issues. I didn't spend anything additional. They were efficient and easy to communicate with.

He was very nice and professional he told us our roof was perfect! He could have found things wrong but instead he told us the issues someone else had told us were wrong were non existent or not relevant or needed. He was very thorough in his explanation and sincere. He arrived on a timely manner and was quick to do his job

Jim was on time and spent a lot of time talking to me while his helper was on the roof. I really liked the guy and asked him for estimates for a number of additional projects. He sounded fair and down to earth, expecting him to follow-up on the potential add-on work. Unfortunately I never heard from him again, even after sending him an email inquiry. It seams he was good at talking the talk, but not walking the walk. Can't say for sure, but I probably wouldn't recommend him on anything else since all he did for me was trivial maintenance.

Provider met with my husband and inspected the roof and caulked where needed. He gave my husband a great quote on a new roof. The ONLY reason we did not go with him was because we ultimately went with another Angie's List contractor who will be doing the roof and drywall and many more things as a package deal for us as we are completely gutting and remodeling an entire home. Otherwise, we would have ABSOLUTELY went with this provider. My husband was more than impressed with his professionalism and the materials he was going to use and specified in the quote were all top notch. The quote was a fantastic deal. I would HIGHLY recommend this provider to anyone!!!!!

He was really great really personable, prompt the job was completed when he said it was going to be he was also very easy to get along with. A very great experience overall.

Everything was great except for the commucation about my insurance.

The current condition of the roof was assessed, and some basic upkeep items were performed. Nails were hit back in and caulked, holes were filled near a sattelite dish, etc... I found Jim to be very upfront, and honest, which is very important to me. He was on time, and performed those tasks that were offered in the package I bought. I would certainly use his company again for any future roofing needs.

It went well. He showed up on time and returned my phone calls. He did the work quickly and what appears to be thoroughly. We knew there was some type of leak on the roof because my daughters bedroom ceiling had water marks. We had put a bucket up in the attic where the roof was leaking so it wouldn't fall onto her ceiling anymore. She could hear the drip into the bucket every time it rained hard. James replaced the seal around the pipe where the drip was coming from and we don't hear the dripping noise anymore. He was punctual and cleaned up everything before he left. I would recommend James for roof work.

I have not decide about work.
