The Chimney Pros

I had used Matt Parker to clean my chimney for 2 yrs. He was the first chimney sweep to clean from inside the house and not from the roof. He said I needed a new damper. I had enough money saved and called him 5-Apr-2011 to set it up and clean the chimney and oil flu. I said he would need a $200 deposit to order the part. He picked it up that night. I have called him for 3 months and left messages. I received no response. One time he answered and then hung up. I am taking him to small claims court to try to get my $200 back. He also said last year my oil flu was in need of cleaning. I had a new chimney sweep out last week and he said it was fine and did not need to be cleaned. I do not trust his work nor him. No one should use him. After he was served, he sent a cashier's check for my deposit and a letter of apology.
