Mike had worked with us in the past when we flirted with the idea of selling and buying a new house, but we never actually went through with it. We contacted again and this time, we were ready to move. Mike immediately sent us listings in our price range with all the specs we were looking for. Within a day or two we were out looking at houses with him. His knowledge of the industry and market would make anyone feel comfortable when dealing with such a huge purchase. He was flexible and willing to work with our limited schedule, being parents of twin infants. We were able to freely communicate with him via phone, text, and email, even with minor questions, once we had placed the actual offer. Once our offer was accepted, Mike set up the inspection and all the details we needed. He was present at the inspection, and every step of each of the walk-throughs that we requested. After closing, and offering to help us move, Mike has continued to touch base frequently to see how we have settled, and making sure we are still happy with our purchase. If and when we decide to move in the future, our first and only call will be to Mike! In the meantime, we recommend Mike to all of our friends and family.

Originally, I came into contact with Mike McDaid when I bought a home where he was representing the sellers. As I was from out of state, out of the area, I'd had no prior experience with realtors in this area. I knew when I saw the listing I HAD to see it ! It was well- described, with enticing photos, and priced right. Additionally, when I saw the property, Mike had also presented more specifics about the property, the grounds, the plants and trees, and additionally, some items related to the history. In selecting Mike to represent us in selling our Chester County Farmhouse property, we examined pages of listings that were active, and recently completed. Across the board, it was clear that not only does Mike know the area, he is selective in his listings, and he tells potential buyers what they need to know! Mike partnered with me from the beginning on this effort to sell the property. He helped me identify good reliable professionals from which I could choose - in order to get an inspection, then to remedy some issues from that inspection, and on, in order to best position my home for the best possible sale. Mike is a Professional in all senses of the word. He understands the intricacies of the listing contract, and explains them in detail. He is diligent and always responsive. He cares, and his real estate practice is ACTIVE! In this market, that is a very good sign. Over the time I have been working with Mike, I have seen affirmations of these traits, and nothing to the contrary! I would definitely go with him again, and refer him without reservation!

The experience was great. I'm not sure it would have been if he was not involved. When I first met Mike I was working with another agent. He was the listing agent on a tear down I looked at. I went out to his web site and saw another house that was listed that was under construction and asked to see it without involving our current agent since I did not feel as though she was providing us the best service. This house I looked at was not for me, but it was clear during that interaction that he was hard working and a knowledgable agent. Subsequently, I decided not to work with the agent I was working with and contacted Mike to represent me in the continued search for land and a builder. As soon as I asked him to work with me, I was receiving MLS listings that could meet my criteria. While looking at almost built home and vacant land options, he told me about a property that was not on the market, but was available for demolition with a tie in with a builder he had worked with before that had a good reputation. I looked at the property and decided to move forward to purchase the land and work with the builder. Mike was clearly an advocate for me during this process of specifying the house and ensured that I had a quick turn around on understanding the cost to build the house on this land so I could make a decision as to whether or not this was something I could afford. He turned that process around for me in 2 weeks. After that I spent more time with the builder defining the specifications further and subsequently went to settlement on the land only. At that point, Mike's responsibilities where over since the rest of the deal was between me and the builder for the construction of the home, but Mike continued to stay involved to ensure a smooth agreement and contract. He continually checks in to ensure things are moving along and intervines on my behalf with the builder to address concerns and issues that have come up. The house is not started yet, but Mike is interested in staying involved. This style of high touch involvement in this process is well beyond my expectations of a real estate agent who has brought the land acquisition to a close. I would recommend Mike to anyone looking to buy a home in the Western Main Line area in PA. I plan to list my current house with Mike as well.
Description of Work: Since Mike provided real estate services to me in the acquisition of a property, I technically did not pay him, the seller did. This was not a typical home sale. Mike helped me find a property to build a home on as well as connected me with a builder to build the home. He is very knowledgable regarding real estate in the Malvern area from houses and lots to builders. Working with previous real estate agents in the past and then working with Mike is a day and night experience. Mike was hard working, dedicated, responsive to my needs, wants and desires in finding a property. He worked very hard to bring both parties to the table to negotiate the construction of the custom home we were to build as well as the land acquisition.
