+ -1 moreI was looking to get some doors. His pricing was astronomical. I wanted a Provia door and Mt. Pleasant Window and Remodeling Company sell Provia doors. My door, which I bought costed $1098. The guy down at Mt. Pleasant Window and Remodeling Company wanted to charge me $2300. He was a salesman and his name is Dave. Dave was a nice guy. His pricing was just astronomical. He was a little abrupt and he was a little aggressive. He really didn't explain things to us. He priced two doors for me and it was roughly $5000 for the two doors. He gave me the quote right then and there. I'm offended by the overpricing of the door. I called and I set the appointment. They were very responsive. It was great. They were very nice. The guy showed up. He looked at the doors and he measured the doors. I don't think that they really offered any options to me. I would absolutely not use them in the future.

They even cleaned up an improperly installed threshold in my game room. Dave the salesman was responsive to any questions and concerns. He even showed up the day of the installation to see how the job was going. Just an overall positive experience and would definitely use them again.

They took accurate measurements but while they seemed to do very well, they also seemed to be on top of the heap of price. They seemed overpriced for the job they were doing as a number of my friends and relatives thought the same.

+ -1 moreThe original estimate by Dave was firm. The work was done by Mark, Brian and John and they were perfectionists. The end result was so good that we were pleased more than we thought possible. They kept us informed of updates and asked us routinely for our input. They cleaned up at the end of each day and welcomed our opinion of their work to be sure we were happy.as the job progressed. This was a very detailed cathedral ceiling and trim, including odd shaped windows. Finished product is great!

When we had a problem with one of the windows, they came out & took care of it right away. When we needed the adjustments we didn't have a problem getting anyone out here. I have & would recommended them to anyone. Everybody from phone call, to sales person, to installers was easy to work with and efficient.

Description of Work: Our front door was installed poorly when our new home was built seven years ago by S & A Homes and we had water penetrating the threshold. We found the damage when the vinyl flooring starting peeling up. We called Mt. Pleasant Window and Remodeling to price a new door. The saleman Dave came and gave my wife prices and I told him at least three times I wanted a door EXACTLY like the one we were taking out. He talked us into a color that was called winterberry and insisted it would match our shutters. We never saw a paint chip and we were trusting him and his word to give us what we wanted. We had prior experience with them and had windows and doors put in by them at our old house. When the door was installed the transom was not as ordered, the color was more tomato instead of eggplant like our shutters, and they put shims and expandable foam UNDER the door frame. There is also a large hollow area under the front theshold area that is going to allow bugs, snow and blowing rain to penetrate. Despite these glaring flaws they still want PAID. At minimum the transom is wrong and the the door is installed very poorly and will need fixed. I complained about the color but all they want to say is " you signed off on it". I have contacted a lawyer and I am planning on suing them. I have also recently contacted the door manufacturer just to see if they can even paint a door my color, they responded and said all I would need to give them is a paint code from Sherwin Williams. In fact, they said they could match every aspect of my old door except the door knob.
