George and his crew has been maintaining our trees for decades. George is an Arborist, with a reputation throughout the county as a very knowledgeable, skilled and dedicated tree health expert. His work is meticulous. When his crew prunes our ornamental crabapple, it looks gorgeous: open, balanced, healthy. He has dropped a huge spruce right next to the house without damage to surrounding plantings. His knowledge of trees is extensive. We usually have him come every other year unless we have some big problem that needs immediate attention. He will walk the entire property, pointing out safety issues, health issues and appearance issues with our trees, all of which he addresses when the crew arrives, He is not cheap. Quality work costs. We are glad to pay him for the quality of work he does. We trust George.

We have used George for many years. He and his crew are real arborists, not just chain saw jockeys. We had storm damage on a tree, which they cleaned up several months prior, but on a routine inspection, George decided the remaining tree was too weak and might fall on the house. The crew showed up some weeks later to take it down, and to prune the rest of the trees we own. We do pruning every few years, both to keep the trees healthy and to prevent house damage, as we have many mature trees close to the house. It took the crew a few days of steady work to finish the job. It's just amazing to watch the crew do their thing. They work safe, they work smart and they really know trees. When they left, all of our trees looked beautiful, heavy limbs in danger of hitting the house were cut back, the canopy was opened up to let light and air through, and the grounds were clean. I highly recommend George Pegher for your tree health and maintenance. They are not the cheapest, but they are the best.
