Description of Work: Waterproofing of basement. The sales team did a good job in explaining how the process worked and explaining the difference between their process and other contractors. It really does look more effective than some of the other solutions we looked at. Of course there was the overstock and have to move inventory before the end of the month discussion and the last minute we can do the job for this, all of which was expected. |The inside work was done to our satisfaction. They covered up everything and used a jack hammer to break concrete. Make a trench around the outside walls, drill holes into block, fill trench with stone barrier and pipe. Put up catch barrier in along wall. Restore concrete over trench. Repair any wall cracks with hydraulic cement, drylock. Put a sump well in and plumb outside. Added a air circulating unit to move air in basement. Outside they dig a trench around the perimeter of the house. They install a barrier, backfill with stone, install pipe and cover back up. They also found that the pipe from my septic was separated and they made sure this was repaired and |the outside drains into a drywell. The downspouts for the rain gutters were plumbed into the drain for the sump from the basement and drained away from the house. |Everdry began work on the basement July 29, 2015 and completed the work on July 6, 2015 |We first noticed a problem with the water drainage on July 16 or 17, 2015 about the gurgling by the propane tank. My wife had discovered the pipe was disconnected and called Everdry. They said they would schedule a service call for July 30th |There was a storm that came through on July 19, 2015 and we noticed water building up on the back side of the house. Water was building up around the windows and coming out of the downspouts. The area by the propane tank water was bubbling out of the ground. |I sent Everdry and email explaining we had a bigger problem than the disconnected pipe on July 19th and included pictures. I asked that they call me Monday morning July 20th |Monday morning July 20th I called Everdry and told them we had a problem because I had not heard from them. The receptionist said she would have the supervisor call back when he got into the office later in the afternoon. He called back and spoke with my wife. Told her that there wasn't anything they could do except run everything to ground. That we had told them to use that line, the line to the woods. He also told my wife that the earliest that he could come was July 30th. I called from work and spoke to the supervisor. I told him that July 30th was unacceptable. We have a real problem with water running down the inside of our basement wall at the windows and we needed to get that fixed. I also mentioned that we had to bucket the water from our original sump because it was over flowing. He told me that I told them to use that line and I told him I suggested that they use that line and if that wasn't going to work that they had to tell me that. I reminded him I was a home owner and they were the experts. He mentioned that he did not know why the crew did not check that line and I told him I don't know why they didn't either. I asked that he have someone come down and look at it the next day and call me in the morning and he didn't. |Tuesday, July 21, I worked on the water line. I had a 85' piece of ¾ plastic tubing that I could get into the pipe. I also opened up the drainage around the end of the pipe so there was no restrictions. Because now we had water from our original sump, water from the sump Everdry put in and the downspouts all to the same line I contacted another contractor to inspect the water pipe and hydro jet it to make sure it wasn't plugged. |They came in on Wednesday July 22. We were able to hydro jet it 189'. We put the camera up and could not get the camera all the way, there was a partial restriction. I had my wife put red dye in the sump well turning the water red so we could see when it came out. It was decided to try from the other end where the Everdry connection was made. We dug down in the area and hit water and mud. We continued to dig until we discovered the pipe. We started to remove water from the hole with a wet/dry vac. When we got most of the water out it began to turn red. We noticed as we dug out the rest of the pipe that they did not tie into the gray water line to the woods but instead had tied into a plugged line from the garage drains. Water continued to drain into the hole from perforations in the pipe. At this time it became apparent that there was no water drainage of any kind from the house. No water from my original sump, no sump pump and no downspouts. I realized too that was the reason we had to bucket the water the day of the rain because the water had nowhere to go. My options were to connect to the original water line, and repair any areas we felt were constricted or put in another line. Because the original line was thin wall drain pipe, the fact that there was some restriction in the line I opted to go with a new 4" drain line, schedule 40, and add a clean out at the house and another 100' from the house. I contacted the other contractor to complete this work, at an additional cost to the project that we had not planned on. |Wednesday Everdry called and said that they could come Thursday. I told him I was putting a new line in and that their line was not connected to the correct line but to the line in the garage. I asked that he reschedule for Monday July 27th when the work new drain line would be completed. I told him I was going to connect the drain line to the new drain. He rescheduled. |The other contractor came in Thursday July 23rd and began putting the line in completing the work on Friday July 24th. I was conflicted about whether to connect to the drain line or not but because I had no water going anywhere from my original sump to the Everdry sump, to the down spouts I decided that to protect the house to make the connection. |Everdry service team, John and helper, arrive 9AM Monday July 27th. |• The connection we made, they said that it looked fine. Tested drain that they repaired and said they had good flow through the new pipe |• The connection they made, showed them the pictures |• They want to move the downspouts I told them they are ok where they were to fix what they have wrong, the fall from the furthest downspout and the break in the pipe. Took pictures of the drain pipe where it was low in the middle and didn't have proper fall. They put another pipe on top of it, re-established flow and made sure fall was correct. They also fixed the grade along the back wall. |• Went to basement and showed them 3 areas of concern |o Under the steps had not dried out yet |o In furnace room between furnace and tank |o In big room, corner by interior wall |It seems that everything is working at this point. The basement does appear to be drier. |My wife felt that the inside crew did a better job that the outside crew. The finished work didn't look as nice as the inside. |

Description of Work: Awful sales pitch. Used every tactic to try to get us to sign. After searching reviews and BBB, they use the same sales pitch for every customer. Two salesman show up and need you to "help them out" with scheduling conflicts and by going on "standby" it saves you pennies...When cancelling within the 23 days they tried to get a salesperson back out to our property to sign a liability waiver. They never called back when I informed them I wanted to see what title and section of the law required them to get a waiver on no services provided. They only contract for the entire patented system even if you don't need the entire system. Had t2 other companies out for estimates and inspections and we didn't need all the work they were "requiring" us to get. Caution! Read other customer reviews. Everdry is a franchise!

First crew did not do satisfactory job. Messy with clean-up and cement work. Courteous second crew to dig up one drain and re-do. Then after that leak was fixed, another appeared in the corner. A lot more water. Worked well and cleaned up.

We went out and inspected this client's basement after talking to her about her concerns. We discovered a leak where one of our laborers did not reconnect the water softener drain correctly. We repaired the lead and also brought in some additional top soil and landscaped part of the outside of the home that she was not happy with. We also replaced the carpet that got wet due to the leak. We contacted her in April or 2012 to see how things were going and she reported that everything was fine.

Overall good experience. The initial estimate was completed and seemed a bit high, a few days later another salesman came by and reevaluated the estimate and offered to put my job on a flex schedule. I decided to go with the indoor system and I was given a time frame as to when the work would be completed. The day prior to them coming to start a job on the scheduled date they rescheduled for 2 weeks later. I got pretty nervous that this was going to not be a good project and when the crew arrived to begin the job things all began to fall into place. The crew showed up in the time frame as I was told and got to work. The initial crew was 5 people one crew foreman, a foreman in training, and 3 other guys they advised me of their plan and quickly got to work. A short time later another crew of guys showed up to assist the crew that started the job. All of the guys that showed up for the job were very respectable, genuinely seemed to know the aspects of the job, and very accommodating of my requests of the project. The job was completed quickly and to my liking. Time will tell if my basement is dry as they claimed it would be, bring on the western PA rainy spring season.

Thank you for taking the time to talk about your experience with Everdry Waterproofing. I am sorry to hear that we had to reschedule the original start date of the project. We try very hard to stick to all of our projected start dates but as anyone in the construction industry can tell you it is not always possible. Please give us a call if there is anything we can do for you in the future and thank you for choosing Everdry for your basement waterproofing needs.

The crew that came was sloppy and didn’t have regard for the cleanliness of my house or other things. I was not happy with them. I signed the contract with them in August, 2011 and they came in November, 2011. It works fine and there is no water problem in the basement; infact it’s dry. The crew that came in didn’t have any regards for the cleanliness of my property or yard. There was mud here and there. When they were digging up the basement they didn’t close the basement door and the entire house was filled with dust. Until today, though it is 2 months the dust is still all over the house. It was very frustrating and they were supposed to be here 3 to 5 days cleaning up, but they just came 2 weeks before and finished everything. I will use them again in the future. Since that time I have been in contact with the company and they have made good on cleaning up. I have heard that the crew is no longer with them. The company stands behind their work and they have made things right with me.
Description of Work: I used the services of EverDry Basement Waterproofing to waterproof my basement, dug the concrete floor in the basement and put a French drain, dug out the exterior of the house for about 2 feet down and checked for cracks as wells as holes and repaired it. They also put French drains outside and put a sump in the basement in November, 2011.

Rick Marie showed up on time and was very professional and I was about to hire until I read the first review of their work. It was almost word for word the same script. On top of that he quoted the same price of 17,500 and said it was figured by linear feet. Looked at the numbers but it seemed weird, and something didn't seem right. Doesn't seem right how much they charge for a service others will do for much much less. Now I know better.

It is common when shopping for basement waterproofing to get more than one quote before deciding. There are always companies that can give a lower quote for basement waterproofing however, I would warn that you take a good look not only at the cost but at what is offered for that price. We are more expensive because we go further and do more than most of these small companies. Also, look at how long they have been in buisness before making your decision. We are constanty getting calls from people who went with a much smaller company to save money and now they are having problems in the basement. When they call the company to get help they are out of buisness. Everdry has been in buisness over 30 years in several states, and 23 years in the Pittsburgh area. Your lifetime warranty with Everdry is covered not only by our Pittsburgh office but by all of our franchises nation wide. So as is often the case you can always find it cheaper somewhere else but be cautious because you get what you pay for.

They came and worked for 1 week/ the same season we had repeated flooding/the system did not work. For 2 years we tried to make them repair the system; their workers showed up several times without tools, assessing the site...The story went on. They dug again finding out that the first team did not connect the pipes for the external waterproofing. Bottom line 5y later the system is not working, multiple complains; no shows, "change in staff", reported them to BBB that did not help either;
Description of Work: The sales person came guarantied that it would be a easy project waterproofing the basement and the garage including lifetime guarantee for the products and work. Our choice was to get external and internal system as well as the water pump.

DO NOT USE THSE PEOPLE. THEY PREY ON PEOPLE WHO DO NOT KNOW ANY BETTER OR NEED SOMEONE TO FIX A PROBLEM. A guy showed up, Rick Marie and went straigt to work, running around the house, diffing the soil, checking humidity and we told him that the issue is only in the garage, but he wanted to check the basement and the frot, back and sides of the house to be comprehensive. He Started measuring the humidity on the basmenet walls and the way he said it made it sound it was high when it was normal. He would briefly answer questions and wanted us to wait until he is done. When he was done checking, testing, measuring....He g-ot everyone together and started talking about the company, they have done work for the Navy and NASA, flipping thru the pages, showing pictures of foundations and stuff. Anyway, he started esplaining about the soiltypes in pensylvana and wante to make us think that there is water below the foundation and he proposed a a frensh Drain System. He made it clear that they will sell us the whole system. He got his Calculator and used the meusurements he took earlier and told us, it will cost 1$7,500. I asked him if he knew what the problem is, and he said he did not. He will have to dig up around the house and then they will know if there is a problem and what the problem is. Got another estimator in who explained the issue and what need to be done to fix it. The cost was less than 3,000 and the issues is gone for good.

Our inspections are free if you own the home. If not there is a minimal fee for the inspection. We always do a thorough inspection inside and outside because when water is coming into a home in one area it is a sign that the walls are filling up from the outside and have just found the first way in. I was surprised at the comment that the moisture in the wall was a normal amount? There should be no moisture in your walls. It is often hard to know exactly where the water is coming into the wall from the outside until you dig away the soil and get a good look at the outside of the wall. Our system is designed to fix the entire wall once we dig out away from the wall we fix any cracks we find and seal the entire wall before putting in a surface drain. That is what the inspector meant when he said he did not know exactly where the water was coming into the wall from. I am glad you were able to find someone who could do it at a cheaper price. I would caution you to not only look at the price but at what is being offered for that price as well. We hope the company you chose is addressing the problem from both the outside and inside. Hopefully, all of your problems were fixed if not feel free to give us a call in the future.

Their estimate was over $15,000. The wriiten estimate was unprofessional and lacked detail about the work be performed (there was no explaination about exactly what would be done to waterproof the basement). The second estimate we received from another company was for $4,000. I would NEVER hire this company to do work for me.

Angie's List really saved me from making a huge mistake with this company. They wanted $10,000 dollars to do extensive, very interrupting changes involving tunnels inside and out of my house. I had a bad feeling about the whole thing and when I checked on Angie's List, I found they had pulled similar, unnecessary work orders on many other people in the area. I decided against the work and have not had a single problem with water in the basement. Thank you Angie's List.!!

They started by sending a sales person to the house to evaluate our basement. The sales man scared us into thinking that our basement was in horrible shape and that we needed serious work done. The original estimate was over $8,000, but if we signed that night they would reduce the price and put us on the "on call" section. The original work was done within a week. We started having problems with water on the low side of the house. They sent workers back twice to try to fix it, neither time correcting the problem. Our basement then started smelling of sewage. We called a plumber only to find that Everdry's workers had broken our main sewage pipe in the house. Everydry did pay for all of the repairs quickly and without hassle. We continued to have water issues until it got bad enough that they actually had to redo the entire external and internal French drains. The 2nd crew was professional and did the project quickly, but it was a hassle to have it redone.
