My experience with TJ's Plumbing was a disaster. The two technicians who came to my home were clueless as to how to fix the problem. My toilet had a very slow leak at the base. I assumed the wax ring needed replaced. Upon their arrival, and removal of the toilet, I was told the entire pipe and flange needed replaced because it was lower than our tile floor. It took the crew two hours to assess the situation. I received an estimate for $2998.00 for replacement of the entire pipe/flange, which also included removing and replacing the ceramic tiles around my toilet (I have extra tiles, so no charge for the tiles). They said the floor replacement was absolutely necessary, although it was also suggested they could also cut a hole in the ceiling underneath my toilet to repair or a wall. They said the job would take 3 days total to complete. I was charged $196 for my free estimate and their 2 hours of time for their assessment. I hired a qualified plumber the following day. They set a new PVC toilet flange that was the same height as the floor and put on a new wax ring. They were in my home for 20 minutes, start to finish. The total charge: $180.

After learning that TJ's had bought out my regular heating service firm I had them come for an annual maintenance. When the tech got here on Oct 23, he said he was here for a "clean and check" for a cost of $69. My previous firm was more expensive, but I thought maybe this was a "special" related to the takeover and didn't think anything of it. The tech was here about 20 minutes and said everything looked ok (my old guys used to be here 60-90 minutes). I asked him if he changed the filter and he said no, I didn't ask them to change the filter and so he didn't bring one. My prior firm always brought everything they needed and I found this odd. The tech said he could go and get one for $89 plus the cost of the filter or that I could buy my own and put it in. I said no problem, I would get one. Fast forward to Nov 15 and I realized the the humidifier attached to the furnace did not seem to be working so I called TJ's and asked if they checked it when they were here for the "clean and check". They said no, that was not included. Again, thought that was odd, but wanting to get it serviced I scheduled an appointment for today 11/16 and they said they would be here between 12 and 4pm. At 3 pm I called and asked if they were coming today and a very polite young lady said I was next "on the board". At 3:30 a very impolite Jeremy called and said that he was coming for a clean and check and if I wanted the humidifier serviced it would be more. I told him that I had a clean and check done several weeks ago and that I needed the humidifier serviced. He was surprised by that and said then it would be a service call of $125 so did I want him to still come. I said of course, I have been waiting 3 1/2 hours already. After we hung up my irritation got the best of me and I called Jeremy back and told him to forget it. It was not my fault that the original tech did not service the humidifier, and that I never needed to spell this stuff out to Russo's. They came prepared and did what I expected for an annual maintenance. Bad service, bad prices, bad experience.

Excellent. They were prompt, knowledgeable and energetic. Our furnace was located in a crawl space and it took a great deal of work to remove. Fitting the new one was also a challenge. We are quite happy with the way our new furnace is running. No Problems! Price for job was very competitive and affordable. Everyone we encountered were friendly and truly seemed to care about our questions and/or concerns.

They did not charge for the estimate. I didn't think they were that knowledgeable. I felt like some of the things the guy was saying was inappropriate. I guess because I was a younger guy he thought I was cool with it. But I wasn't. It was inappropriate. He was a little too comfortable. I remember having that feeling and that's why I didn't use them.

TJs came to our home to perform an annual maintenance on our furnace. Immediately they told us that the gas had to be turned off due to a crack in the heat exchanger. Indicated to us that to repair it would be $1500 and $3500 for a new furnace. A new furnace was recommended. This was determined within 10 minutes of their arrival. We told them we would need to consider our options and began to make numerous calls to other companies in our area. we had a second inspection performed with an immediate response that the furnace was still under warranty . This gentleman had the heat exchanger replaced for $100 plus installation. If this were under different circumstances where our weather was extreme cold we may have not had an option to look at other alternatives we may have had to replace a furnace that didn't need to be replaced. I thought of any elderly people who may not had the good sense to explore alternatives or be in a situation where heat was an immediate absolute. Maybe they would have paid for a new furnace like we almost did. By the way..... The small crack in the exchanger did not warrant the gas being turned off or causing any harm to us .

I was pleased with the results but I felt that I was being taken advantage of. They gave me an estimate that was very high and I told them I couldn't afford it. I needed a credit and they signed me up for a it. I feel like I got ripped off.

They are truly a superior company. They even came on a holiday weekend to check up.
