water heater repair
 + -1 moreMike Morewood came out and gave me an estimate. I also got another estimate from another contractor. The prices were similar. Decided to go with Morewood. The waterlines, gas lines, and new intake and exhaust venting for the the tank had to be re-routed, so the price was a little more than a standard installation Dave came out and did the installation. He explained every step to me and did a very professional job. Put down floor coverings from the front door to the closet and did a nice job of keeping things clean. I would definitely use Morewood Plumbing on future projects.

 + 0 moreProblem was misdiagnosed twice. Parts were purchased, installed, but didn't fix problem. Finally problem was correctly dx, but no one had exact part needed in stock, so it had to be ordered. Once it came in and was installed, it worked. We were without hot water or heat for about a week. The bill came as one total charge. I requested a detailed bill, and although promised, it never arrived. I'm still believing we were charged for the parts that we're needed as well as all of that time and effort. However, in the end, they did get our boiler working, and for that we are grateful.

 + -1 moreHe arrived at the house when he promised. He was very polite, very neat and gave us good advice when we asked about other projects. We will call back when we need plumbing done.
Description of Work: Our kitchen sink drain was clogged. After snaking the drain, the plumber took a closer look at the slope of the drain pipe in the basement and found it to be sloped in the wrong direction. He corrected the slope and found that about 6 feet of pipe was almost completely clogged! He also replaced a faucet in the master bath.

Description of Work: It took almost three weeks for an estimate to arrive in the mail and then it wasn't complete. We requested an estimate for a bath tub repair but when the gentleman arrived he noticed that our hot water tank was leaking so he was going to write that up as well. The estimate arrived with only the tub listed but they were careful to list all the things that were not covered. The price was for just removal of the tub and surround and then replacing it again with a new one. It stated that if any new boards, flooring or tiling were required that would be extra and there was no price for the labor either. Never a mention of the hot water tank. Just the tub was estimated at $3,775.00. Much more than we expected. I phoned to ask for some clarification but the answering service woman was rude. I decided to tell her not to have them call us and she hung up on me. Would not recommend them to anyone. What a shame.
